My husband received an email for a free Kung Pao chicken dinner with a purchase of another dinner as a one night only promotion. My hubby and I sat at the bar and the bartender Amanda promptly brought us menus and took our drink order. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer. They were quickly delivered hot and fresh. Amanda was super busy but we never felt neglected for one second. She was really one of the best bartending servers I have ever seen in action. The other waitstaff had their drink orders waiting for them and the people at the bar were not waiting long for her attention. We placed our dinner order and it was fantastic. My husband had the Kung Pao Chicken and I had the Honey Crispy Chicken. Both meals were delicious. The only hicup was that our server Amanda was needing the code from the email we received to enter it into the register for the discount, but the email didn't provide a code. We clicked on the link in the email and it took us to your website with a prompt to log in. We did, but the site stated that we had to update our password in order to access our account. So, we attempted multiple times to do this. We NEVER received the change of password email. We tried to log in via Facebook and still received the same error message. We were getting really frustrated with this process. The app and website shouldn't be this difficult to navigate. Thank goodness we had Amanda as our server. She took down our phone number and email and was able to find the code for the offer that was sent to us and applied the discount. We left her a large tip. Another place where I'm just not well versed enough to speak to the authenticity of the food, though I will say I want to try just about everything on the menu. I have a strong hunch this is merely Americanized East Asian at its finest, but then again, if it tastes delicious, does it really matter? Really great dishes. Don't be frightened, though, by what they claim is "spicy", because it isn't. At least what I've experienced. Chang's does a really great job putting together complex tastes, and perhaps this is a safe way for those unaccustomed to East Asian food to sample it. A lot of people will surely enjoy the confluence of cultural dishes here: Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and so on. Few restaurants can do well with such diverse dishes, but these guys are on point. Of course, happy hour is always welcome, and a rewards program helps to keep the visits regular. I'm also a big fan of their wine selection, even if, like the food, a tad pricey. The old adage rings true: you get what you pay for. There are far more expensive restaurants with far less delectable food. There's not much to disappoint here. Just good luck choosing a dish in the meantime! read more

PF Changs used to be a decent option in the land of sub par Asian food choices (Maple Grove). This is no longer the case, sadly. The food is expensive & underwhelming in quality & flavor. The fried rice now needs a generous portion of soy sauce to give it any flavor. Their vegetarian lettuce wraps are scarily similar to chewing on shoe leather. The lo mein was the least awful. It seems like the reviews for PF Changs in Maple Grove are either really harsh or really complimentary... Im definitely somewhere in the middle. As a chain restaurant, I dont think you should go a place like this expecting anything spectacular or extremely authentic--you know what youre getting into when you go in there. The location for Changs is good, especially from a business standpoint. The Arbor Lakes area in Maple Grove has just about every type of cuisine known to man. Almost every major chain can be found around here providing a lot of dining options for the hungry shopper. There is ample parking as well, which makes getting to Changs easy. Another plus as far as the location goes is that it's on the end and in a corner of the mall--great for winter when you dont want to be walking down that wind tunnel they call a shopping center. As for the food... Well, it's good, but certainly nothing memorable. I can think of about half a dozen "Chinese" restaurants that have the exact same food. The unfortunate thing is that it's pricey for what you get. You can get the same quality at Pei Wei (which is owned by Changs) for a little less money. Service was so-so... But one thing I should mention is that the woman at the table next to me found a big rock in her food. A big one--I saw it clearly from across the table. I believe they replaced her entree but it was quite shocking to see something that big and obvious in her food. It didnt ruin my appetite or anything, but I still wouldnt want that happening to me. I can't write this review without saying how much I love the big horsies in front... I know this is irrelevant, but hey, it's my review. Been there twice this year hoping one bad experience was just a fluke. First time we went, the place was ice cold inside and my elderly parents were freezing the whole time. Food was good, but service was mediocre on a quiet Friday afternoon. Went again on a Wednesday night. The place was not busy but the hostess was in no hurry to seat the family of 3 ahead of us. Hostess seemed to have disappeared. When she showed back up, she had to go wipe down a table for us. Took more time even though there were dozens of tables already clean and set. Food is overpriced and lacks quality and flavor. Soda was just sparkling water and took 10 minutes just to get a correct drink. At checkout, they wanted us to pay with a QR code and smartphone, but my 80 year old mother was treating to dinner and she doesn't know that technology. Absolutely embarrassing experience for treating someone to a birthday dinner. Reserved stating it was birthday. Sat at one of the worst tables in the restaurant-right behind hostess stand at door. Cold temp (MN in March), no ambiance. Waitress took about 15 mins to greet us and then take drink order. They were out of what we ordered and had to return to tell us that (several minutes later). Ordered food and again several minutes later told they couldn't make sushi (WTH). Inform customers of that kind of thing up front! Edamame was gross. Dry, no flavor. Seemed like straight out of a freezer bag. Went to order dessert after watching a huge festive delivery of a dessert next to us. No candle, no discount of any sort. No acknowledgment of birthday after mentioning at seating in addition to reservation and two additional times. We will NEVER dine at PF Chang's again. For a $110 tab this was worst than going to Canes for a birthday or McDonald's. Step it up if you are going to charge those prices! read more

Gross!! My wife found a hair wrapped around her chicken lomein. They offer to comp that order and get us a new one. We didn't care for the new order or comp because the food was very good. It was just a turn off. There are so many great Chinese restaurant around but we never go because of other issues. We had one of the worst experiences at PF Chang's last night. We had a reservation for 6:45. We were seated promptly when arriving and that was really the highlight. Our beverage and chicken lettuce wrap order were taken within 5 minutes of being seated. Unfortunately it took 15 minutes for our drinks to be delivered. We then ordered our dim sum, main entree and fried rice. About 15 minute our steamed pork dumplings arrived, cold. No one checked in once they were delivered. About 10 minutes later our waitress finally checked in, we ordered a second drink and inquired about our lettuce wraps. Yup still hasn't been delivered. Our lettuce wraps finally arrived, almost an hour after we were seated and the order was taken. Remember we ordered these with our first drink. When inquired about why our cold dumplings were delivered before the lettuce wraps we were told they come from a different part of the kitchen. These were at least hit, but they were really water chestnut wraps, there was barely any chicken! We were told twice our food was coming and continued waiting. Our food finally arrived 1.5 hours after we were seated. The rice was very good, the spicy chicken was nothing like it used to be. It tasted more like honey chicken. At that point we just wanted to eat and leave. Needless to say our dining experience took over 2 hours by the time we received our check and were finally leaving. We ordered curbside service last weekend. Our bill totaled roughly $120. Was told to be there at 8:08 PM but didnt get our food until after 9:00 PM. While we are trying to be understanding with the pandemic and it's impact on the service industry - but waiting in your car for an hour is ridiculous. When we got home, much of our food was cold and didnt taste good. The orange chicken i got for my daughter was below the quality you'd find at Panda Express or Leeann Chin. To top it off, we didn't even get the wontons we ordered. I did immediately email the restaurant directly - but have not yet heard back. Nice decor and a pretty good bar for a drink but the food is very Leeanne chin like just with nice tables and pretty waitresses. Did some apps the other night and tried the lettuce wraps with some of the crab Rangoon. The chicken with the lettuce wraps may have just been from a box (or can). Really very average taste to it. Ordered combo fried rice and egg rolls along with iced tea yesterday. $25.27. Egg role advertised as home made...came out cool in middle after the fried rice. Sent them back...they were sliced at an angle with very little filling. In fact smaller than you would buy frozen in a grocery store...$6.25...Outrageous! Fried rice was "gooey" with very little meat....iced tea was fine until the refill which came as a different flavor?. Egg roles were very late getting to the table...service was poor except for the young lady at the front desk....she was super. That's why the 1 star. We drove 20 minutes to PF Changs in Maple Grove because it had been awhile since we had been here. My husband and I sat at the bar with perfect view of the kitchen. Our bartender was awesome. The best part of the experience was his service. But as we sat eating I watched a female server with long hair stick her finger into a plate of food and then lick her finger. I don't have a clue how this restaurant is still in business. The service was horrible and the place was nearly vacant. It took our server 20 minutes to approach our table and the drinks arrived 30 minutes after that. Of the five people at our table and each one choosing a different entree, all of us only took a few bites - the food was was not only completely tasteless but it was cold. The chicken was soggy glue, the lettuce wraps had an odd flavor making them impossible to eat (and these were one of their hallmarks), the beef were round discs of cold, jerky toughness with zero seasoning or sauce. Everyone at our table understands that most restaurants are short staffed and considered that however; this goes beyond that consideration. I should have taken a picture of my Lo mien it easily had a half inch of greasy liquid on the bottom and the portion sizes have shrunk considerably. Tonight's delivery showed up without two of the appetizers and when we called the restaurant they said that the delivery driver was supposed to tell us they didn't have the ingredients and that they would take them off our bill. Went there with a group of 15 people. We were able to get seated right away. I ordered with 2 other people from our group. We did the Dinner for 2. We got soup, lettuce wraps, 2 meals and dessert. The soup was OK. The lettuce wraps were fantastic. The 2 meals we ordered were really good. It took a while for the rice to come out. The dessert was a Banana roll. Maybe they think people won't complain with carry out and they will be long gone so they don't have to focus on quality and preparation? I don't know but this last order I made, the maki mono roll was seriously this scrawny little roll that looked like it had been prepared by a child; and the Mongolian beef and chicken dishes that I ordered were dry and there was hardly any meat. They also combined the rice and the stir fry together in one container (stir fry thrown on top of the rice), which made the rice super soggy and spongy. I will not order from PF Changs again. there are so many other places to order from that charge the same or less and they take more care in the preparation and quality of their food. Never again. We were loyal customers for 15 years, then you changed food distributors, changed portion sizes so it's not actually family dining any longer. NEVER order anything that is pasta because it will come to you with no firmness or bite; they will come to you as mush basically. My wife and I eat here around twice a month and usually have a great meal and good service. Unfortunately, today was pretty bad. The food was over cooked and the server wasn't very attentive. One of our drinks had a chunk of something in it, which was replaced but with no apology and when we asked if the music could be turned down a little, she said that that's where they want it. (!) Back in Minnesota, but not really knowing where to go eat in Maple Grove, we had settled on PF Changs. Why not right? Well, now I know why not ... Service was solid, and the wait wasn't long. They seem to be famous for the lettuce wraps as that was what they were pushing and even provided samples of their lettuce wrap dipping sauces off the bat. And honestly they were fine, meat well seasoned, and something you can't really go wrong on. Although be warned the mustard had a wasabi-like component, sinus-clearing on it's own. The Singapore noodles were simply not up to par, and were overly oily, and nearly impossible to stomach. The noodles did not have a good consistency either, and finally, the flavor was not what I was expecting, and simply not authentic. The mafoo tofu was a little better. The tofu was done well with a crispy outside and soft center. The sauce was good but overly salty, and again overly oily. Goes okay over rice. The final straw was that possibly due to the oil content or something else, but I had severe stomach pains with diarrhea that night. I hadn't had stomach flu from eating out in a long time, and I have a strong stomach. Never again. read more

If you want to know about their wait time, you have to show up there in person. If you call, like I did, they lie about it. Then when confronted with it, they deny it happened. I know the concept is to get people through the door and they are more likely to put up with the wait, but that doesn't cut it when there are little kids involved. Why lie? I received an email from PF Chang's apologizing for the issues with my last visit and sent me a gift certificate to try them again. So I did. I went there yesterday afternoon, arrived about 2:45 pm (along with me were my sister and brother-in-law.) We were seated immediately even though the place was quite busy. First thing I checked was the "sticky" condiment bottles . . . all still sticky! Frankly, how much time would it take to wipe down each bottle while wiping down the table???? We ordered the fried green beans and beverages - they showed up about five minutes after we ordered them and the appetizer, again, was very good! While waiting for our entrees, I went to the ladies room to check out the "side saddle" toilet seat. Was not able to use the stall I used the last time, had to use the handicapped stall - and low and be hold, that seat was worse than the seat in the first stall!! Please, just take a wrench and tighten the seats please! Our entrees arrived. My entree and my sister's were good, but my brother-in-law ordered the beef broccoli . . . about 1/3 of the beef had the consistency of beef jerky and all of it was very dry . . . It looked like it has been sitting around for a long time, or over "woked" to the max. When our server came back and asked how things were, we showed her the beef broccoli, and she had the kitchen make a new one and we received it about five minutes later. Frankly, I find it hard to believe that he would have been served something of such poor quality when last time they re-fired (before it left the kitchen) my salmon because it broke in a number of pieces. The service was good, re-fire of entrees was good (but why should there need to be "do-overs" at all???). . . but it seems small fixes are not on the agenda for this location. read more

After seeing a movie this past Friday night, 4/17/15, my family of 5 all decided that we should go to the Arbor Lakes Shoppes to get something to eat. We walked past Punch Pizza, as my wife decided we should give P.F. Chang another try. The first time we went was a few months after it first opened, and we were very underwhelmed by the food. We were seated promptly, at around 8:30pm, and proceeded to wait for 25 minutes without even having a server come over to see if we would like any beverages! During this time I noticed several servers having extended conversations with each other while overseeing the dining room, yet none of them saw to it that we were accommodated. We decided to get up and leave after 5 more minutes, hoping that Punch Pizza was still open as we have always had an amazing experience at all of their locations. Thankfully they were open for another hour, and we proceeded to have some of the best pizza available anywhere in the country. We will not make the same mistake again. Shame on P.F. Chang for their inexcusably poor service, but thank you to Punch for making a family night out memorable for the RIGHT reasons. read more

Out for dinner with my family we decided to stop at this PF Chang's. The lettuce wraps are always the go to item on the menu. They are awesome. In our opinion they are also the best item on the menu. I was a little disappointing to find that one no longer blends their own sauce, instead a pre-blended sauce was brought with the wraps. For the main dish we had the new fire cracker chicken and sesame chicken. Both dishes were bland and lacked flavor. My wife commended on a certain Asian inspired frozen entree from Trader Joe's was better, and as far as flavor is concerned, I agree. We had an issue with our kid and had the leave early. The management and service got us out the door fast which was really nice. They were also very friendly and understanding. We will be back but likely just for the lettuce wraps. read more

Ordered take-out last night and had a great experience with the staff. However, the food was atrocious. I spent over $40 on food that could barely feed two people. The portions were ridiculously small and the containers were practically empty. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and it barely had any noodles in it, just giant shards of carrot and green onion. The honey chicken was a joke. I received maybe a dozen small pieces of soggy tasteless chicken. The crispy green beans were fine other than being slightly over cooked. Overall I'm ridiculously disappointed that I spent so much and could barely feed myself, let alone another person. I contacted the website and nobody has responded to me.
