Gabi, Gaby & Nicole were so wonderful & the food was as delicious as ever. i got the kung pao brussel sprouts, lunch combo with hot & sour soup, kung pao chicken with lo mein, a tokyo mule & a lemon drop. drinks were very fairly priced, tasted wonderful & the lunch combos are a very good deal/value. i also love their spicy hot mustard, it's good on everything! Stopped by P.F. Chang's for a quick bite while I was at the mall. I, of course, ordered the sesame chicken again after my bad experience at the Fashion Island location recently. It's so delicious here, just as I remember from the last time I ordered this dish here. Also had the chicken lettuce wraps and it really hit the spot. Service was excellent. Uzziel was amazing. He stayed on the top of everything. He even gave me some extra lettuce as he saw I had plenty of chicken leftover. When I checked out, he mentioned that he noticed some credits from my rewards and asked me if I wanted to use it. That's rare these days. That's service! The Mongolian beef has a way with my heart... but dang, it hurts my wallet every time I come here. Toss up between 3 (based on price) and 4, but I'll go high - just because I always have a good experience here. Servers are always very attentive helpful. It's frankly never crowded when I'm here - or maybe I just eat at off days/times? It's a better value if you come for the Feast for 2 or one of the promos that they periodically run -- otherwise, it can add up pretty quick. I arrived at the location and found a good sparking spot. I went to the pick up area and found James & John (the manager) there talking. They welcomed me with a warm and kind hello and after I told them that I was there to pick up my online order. I showed them my phone where I got a BIRTHDAY offer for Edmame and asked them if it was okay to add it to my pick up order instead of dining in. I was working at Del Mar Jewelers in the Mission Viejo Mall and couldn't leave the store to grab lunch. I called P.F. Chang's and explained that I was working in the mall and asked if there was any way someone could bring the food over to me. They were kind enough to make it happen, which I really appreciated. My daughter and I come here just about every 2 weeks and we've never had a poor experience but today we did. It took 18 minutes for someone (a very pleasant and nice someone Nichole) to come to our table, she let us know she was not our server but helped with our order. Our food came and our server didn't even come to check or introduce herself as our server still! Our meals were just about finished when she finally came, took the menu off the table and left, no words out of her mouth! Very strange- she did bring the bill, it was really hard to provide a tip. We went to the Mission Viego Mall and ate at PF Changs. This is a huge restaurant with many empty tables and booths. The AC was wonderful. Our waiter brought to us menus and we ordered. When the salad came, I just asked to be sure that it had sesame dressing and no peanuts, since we do have a peanut allergy. His response was, "I don't know, so I need to ask." Long story short, the manager informed me that any questions about ingredients need to be run through the manager. I felt this is strange. Why doesn't the staff know if there are peanuts in the food since it is the most serious type of allergy? The food was good. We had a good time. The portions were a bit small for the price. That is what gives this place a three star score. If you go inside the mall, there is a food court where your dollar gets you more food for the price. read more

Next the waiter put in my order incorrectly so my husband's food turned cold while they corrected my order. The hostess greeted us warmly and seated us in a roomy, comfortable area that made the meal feel relaxed and special right away. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, making the whole experience enjoyable from helping with our drink selections through our final bite. The service never felt rushed, just attentive and thoughtful. The food was outstanding. The peppered filet was cooked perfectly tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It's great offers a variety of items that an affordable price. Portions are extremely generous. I couldn't decide between the honey chicken or the honey shrimp, so my waitress give me the best of both worlds: half shrimp half chicken. I didn't even know you could do that! I've been to PF Changs restaurant (Mission Viejo) many times, and the service and food is consistently excellent. Almost every visit there is a constant, Cathy. A manager always working and insuring the above stays true. Every visit she comes by the table to ask how everything is. Cathy is amazingly friendly and helpful. Often, I see her assisting the servers and doing cleanup on tables. It's not often you see a manager willing to get their hands dirty like Cathy. She's truly inspiring. And it's very obvious she is respected and liked by her staff. Cathy leads by example! Which explains the great culture and attitudes of this location. My sister took me out on my birthday here for a lunch and I had the Orange Chicken lunch special and she got the Mongolian Lunch special, both did not disappoint, however we sat and sat there waiting for our food as the table next to us had sat down after us a table of 3 and were served their drinks and got their apps before us as we sat there waiting .............. I had lunch here with a friend. The service was good, but the food was not. I had the "chicken teriyaki." It was a weird mix of fried bits of chicken with small bits of pineapple in a thin white sauce. It was not appetizing, and I only ate part of it. I have had much better Chinese food at the ubiquitous, small, family-run, places. We chose P.F. Chang's as a good place to talk. However, at first the blaring spotify-type music drowned out our conversation. But, at our request, they willingly turned it down where we were seated; with that improvement, I give the dining area high marks for "ambiance." The men's restroom was dark and dank. It was filthy; disgusting. The floor in the stalls was stained and looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. There was something unidentifiable caked on the grab bar. Had a fantastic dining experience on Friday evening. Between the service, and the quality of food even 5 stars is not enough. Kai was our server and he took excellent care of us. This is a perfect scenario where you are getting service for something you would expect at a several hundred dollar dinner, but at a fraction of the cost. We decided to go with their $21 per person three item special. Highly recommend this if you are looking to spend around $50. You will have plenty of food, and likely will have leftovers. Ordered the hot and sour soup. They make one of the best ones out there in my opinion. For the next item, we went with the chicken lettuce wraps, which is always a good choice. Tonight it seemed to be even better than normal. Finally I ordered the Lo mein noodles with shrimp. Fantastic choice with plenty of fresh shrimp. I was already very hungry, and I still had leftovers. The other party member ordered the honey chicken. She was very satisfied with it. There was not even one mediocre portion to our experience, which is why I say 5 stars is not enough. Josh, the on duty manager, checked in with us. He is very cordial and friendly, and made us feel very welcome. I have only been here twice in the last four months. We started with the Hot and Sour soup which was delicious and yes a bit spicy. Ali poured our soup and appeared to love her job and the people she served. We then ordered our entrees with the Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef with low mein and egg fried rice. James brought out the food and was gracious in doing so. The staff here are awesome. When our salad arrived, we asked if the dressing had peanuts since I have a peanut allergy. He didn't know and said that he would have to ask. Another server didn't know either. This by far is one the best Value Based Restaurant. Some items are Very Good while others mediocre. The menu has a good variety of things that come in good portion sizes considering the low cost. My favorite and most consistent great tasting item would have to be their Mongolian Beef. Always Fresh and flavorful when dining in and even delivery! Changs Spicy Chicken is very good as well but sometimes not cooked fully and soggy. Inconsistent with his preparation. Service is good with friendly staff but they do not check in enough and often times find my self having to waive someone down to attend to my requests/needs. The presentation and decor is very elegant and upscale considering this location is "in the mall". The bar is a cool scene with great decor and friendly bar tenders. They are always tasty and it's a large serving. You can never go wrong ordering this yummy appetizer. We also both got the hot and sour soup. My only complaint was it wasn't hot enough. I've been here several times but finally decided to write a review. The location is fine, it's right next to the mall food court and has plenty of parking around it. Service has been hit or miss. Last time the waitress was very nice but didn't come around at all. So we had to ask for utensils or things like that from anybody who passed the table. The food was ok, it seems like the quality has declined over the years. I had honey shrimp that was fairly good. My wife had Mongolian Beef that tasted fine but was overcooked and tough. It was more like Mongolian Jerky. We also got the lettuce wraps which were good, but the lettuce leaves were small and they didn't really give us many, so we had to ask for more. Add into this that the appetizer and the soups and salad all came at the same time. This was on the Chef's Feast. The main dish arrived before my wife finished half the soup, so dish delivery timing apparently is not high priority in training.
