First off, I'll start by saying that the menu prices here on Yelp are not accurate. That's the only reason I'm giving it four stars. The prices are more like in the eight to $10 range per plate, not the five dollar range the yelp menu prices The restaurant is located on the corner of Alipaz and Del Obispo in San Juan Capistrano, in a nondescript strip mall. There are very basic tables inside, and the all you can eat buffet. We walked in and placed her order off the menu and waited for take out. The portions are very generous, we had three main dishes and rice and it could easily feed 6 to 8 people, so for four people we had plenty of leftovers for the following day. The Kung pow shrimp was nicely spicy, the snow peas and water chestnuts deliciously seasoned and crisp, and the sesame chicken with a wonderful chewy, crispy coating on the outside. I asked if rice was included, which is usually the case of Chinese restaurants. The lady behind the counter told me it wasn't but that she would give me some for free. To our delight, we received at least four if not more generous cups of rice in a Styrofoam container. The price is reasonable for the area, the staff was friendly enough, and the portions super generous and delicious. We will definitely be back. read more

Oh my god, they load you up so much at this place and its pretty cheap as well. This was only 10 dollars and it is way better than panda express. But dont expect the quality of orange chicken to be 100% michelin star though. They don't look the greatest from the outside but trust me all the good chinese places usually don't. The people running the store don't speak very much but their actions speak louder than their silence! They hooked me up with an eggroll without asking or anything. Went with my clients who are special. Owner or manager whoever it was gave me a dirty look coming in immediately with my disabled non verbal clients. He seemed to be annoyed when I told him that the transactions were going to be separate. Tried rushing me out and told me he had a line. I had to get receipts for all transactions and that seemed to have annoyed him even more. First time eating here and definitely will be the last. Noodles were pretty good but as far as the chicken Kung pao and teriyaki I would recommend to stay away from.. had an odd texture to the point where I couldn't eat it ,overall I would not recommended this place. I doordash'd delivery of some food from this place yesterday. Wait time was about an hour. I ordered the house special lo main noodle dish and bbq pork ribs. The bag must have weighed 5lbs. When I opened it up the portion of noodles was enormous! As if it was meant to feed 3-4 people. The flavor was subtle bordering on bland. The ribs, which usually come dry, were drowning in a watery juice, the ribs were fatty and greasy and just not appetizing at all! I will not be ordering from this place again! All were very good. There were some flavors included in the orange chicken that I haven't had before. The cream cheese in the wontons was the real deal. The teriyaki chicken was good, not outstanding, but good. Overall, enjoyed the food. The vibe inside is kinda non-existent, but I judging by what I saw while we were there, it's mainly a take-out place. I've been frequenting this is a small, hole-in-the-wall, Chinese restaurant since I was a teenager in the 90s, same ownership since then. Great for take-out, huge portions, quality food, and low prices. Dine-in is an all you can eat buffet, or you can order plates off their menu. Take-out is your traditional 2-3 item combos or 1 item bowls. Orange chicken appears to be their best seller. It is very good, but I'm generally not a orange chicken fan. I usually get the kung pao chicken and the beef & broccoli. When I dine in, I try just about everything, and it is all good. By far, my favorite item they offer is their deep fried chicken wings. A little spicy, as they toss it in jalapenos and garlic after frying - I'm sure you can order it without it. I will take the wings from here over any other restaurant and any other style of wing. At the time of this review, I'm not sure the dining room is open due to COVID-19. We will definitely be back as regulars, just as we were pre-pandemic. read more

Can't any Chinese restaurant make decent traditional egg foo young in Orange County? As for the lemon chicken? We threw it in the trash completely uneaten. It was by far the worst, ever. If you just want buffet style food I think you'll be safe here. They have cheap meals and the stuff in the buffet looks better than what I ordered. We had chow mein, spicy pork, king pao chicken, beef and broccoli, and shrimp won ton soup. All tasted fresh (nothing was mushy or swimming in gravy, my pet peeve), the portions were very generous, and it came out to under $30.
