The hostesses need a course on customer satisfaction. My wife and I arrived for our 6:45 reservation and were told that they couldn't locate it and that I needed to give them a confirmation number. I showed them my confirmation email but that wasn't adequate. So, I had to dig through all emails to find and show them the confirmation number. Ordered to go and was disappointed with the food. Both dishes were DRY. I honestly think they did not even sauce the Buddha Delight. I went here for lunch with two friends today. We told the waiter, Brandon, up for t that we would be there awhile because we were combining lunch with a business meeting. He was THE BEST! He made sure our food was timed just right, kept the drinks full and was great at engaging at just the right times. The food was really good. This is what differentiates me from the Food Snobs in San Francisco: I just love good food. I don't care if it's authentic, artisanal, local, organic, made by hand by an old granny for centuries... those items tend to be better, but it's largely because they taste better. And they serve dessert egg rolls, which violates some natural order I'm sure. But have you tried the lettuce cups? Or the ground chicken and eggplant? Or the wok fried green beans? I mean- YUM! It's a flavor explosion, no doubt brought to you by loads of salt, sugar, and fat. Yet I can't count the number of Chinese restaurants I've been to which, despite being run by Chinese people, made rather disgusting food. Paul Flemming, I am a believer. And especially, this P.F. Chang's is a breath of fresh air amidst the Blandy McBlanderson American food peddled on every corner of Myrtle Beach. If you're a complete and total idiot then come here at 7pm during peak tourist season with the absolute idea that you'll be seated and served right away. That just ain't happening here. We all get it, you're so special that the other 14-million tourists won't matter and they don't eat dinner anyway, right? I mean really, why would it be crowded at Market Common in the middle of tourist season right at dinner time, right? Who would have known??? This place is in prime real estate with incredible high traffic. Expect a wait at prime times in season. If they tell you "two hours" perhaps you should consider another time for this one. Your bigger problem though is that you're late for dinner - every single eatery within 10 miles of the beach will have a 1-2 hour wait in peak season at 6:30-7PM because the normal people started their dinner an hour before you and are still at the table. [a locals secret: head inland off the beach and you might find a place to eat without a wait. Stay on the beach in the middle of July and you wait with everyone else.] That said, if you like a good meal served well and prepared to order - it will do nicely. It's not a hole in the wall type place and is priced accordingly. It's not authentic Asian but then, most Americans won't eat authentic Asian and this place is here to serve tourists. I understand that you can get truly authentic Asian in China or Japan if that's what you're really craving. This is as Asian as Taco Bell is Mexican - very Americanized. Good, just not real. Waste of time! Anyone who waits 2 hours to sit & an hour to be serve will be hungry. Don't come here if your hungry because you will be cranky & hungry at the same time. I live just around the corner from this location and have eaten here dozens of times over the years. I usually have take out these days; never had a bad meal... If you're from out of town, this location is in 'The Market Common' area. Grab dinner and a movie. The theater is within rock throwing distance. Lots to do in this area and the crowds are usually very manageable. Hell, you'd almost never know you were in Myrtle Beach. This area is a nice refuge from the beach crowds. By the way. They keep the place pretty cold, so glad that I had read the reviews and had a jacket with me. The inside is very nice, there were candles on each table. the mai tai $11, was very good, not too sweet. The mongolian beef $19, was tasty, also shrimp lo mein $13, and the sampler plate $14. I have eaten at P.F. Chang's once before when I lived in Atlanta. I have always thought that it was glorified Chinese food. So when I went with friends to the one in Myrtle Beach I wasn't too excited. The food was good as we shared it all across the table traditional style. I thought the portions were a little small compared to other Chinese restaurants (I was able to eat an entire lo main dish by my self) but at the same time there was plenty to go around. We had great service and the atmosphere was great. The biggest difference I found was that afterwords I didn't get "tummy bubbles!" The quality of the foods they prepared was great. So if you are willing to pay the extra cash for quality meats then I recommend going. But if you can stand the tummy bubbles then just go to your local Chinese restaurant. read more

Always 5 stars. I've eaten here countless times since they opened and the food is always amazing. The entire restaurant and bathrooms are always spotless and the service is always super friendly. I've only had to wait a few times for what I would consider to be an extended period of time for our food but it is always well worth it. The appetizer ribs are a definite go to for me. I've never really had anything that I didn't enjoy in at 150-175 visits that I've had for lunch and dinner. One of my favorite spots and close by to my work. We are regular P.F. Chang's customers at home and when we travel, and appreciate the consistent excellent quality of their dishes. About the only way to differentiate one visit from another is your server. We have never had a bad one, and in Myrtle Beach the server was excellent. He paid great attention to detail, delivered the right food to the right member of the party (don't you just hate it when they come out and say "who had the loaded cheesburger?"). He kept our drink glasses full and checked in with us regularly without being a pest - an art in itself. We had a good and fun meal here. read more

Went there on Halloween. Greeted by 3 hostesses, who aren't the most intelligent girls, but that's not my business. They said it would be a 30 minute wait for 4 people. This place was slammed so I was like, "wow only 30 minutes? Great, I can wait that long!" Got seated and waited 15 minutes until the manager finally came over to us to take our drink order. We also ordered our food when he took our drink orders. They seemed to be short on staff or why else would the manager be a server. We waited a while for our drinks to come (no big deal). But then it took FOREVER for our soup to come. Then we finally got our chicken lettuce wraps a year later. When we asked for more lettuce, the manager literally brought out one plate for 4 people. Seriously man? Cmon! Then about an hour later, we got our entrees. Cold. Bland. Every single table around us complained. We did not want to complain because it seemed like the manager was having a really rough night. I'm assuming they were short on cooks, servers, bus boys, but had plenty of hostesses. It's located in new and very exciting area of Myrtle beach. Shockingly you don't have to pay for parking in market common and you can walk around without being run over by lifted pickup truck blasting Flo Rida, like downtown Myrtle beach. For a change atmosphere was very pleasant. Short wait and we had the table. Waiter was nice and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend mojito. They make it right. In Myrtle Beach used yelp very successfully until last nite. It should be called of PFsalt!!!! The reviews were mixed but 3.5 seemed like let's take a chance. Big mistake. I'm no Chinese food expert but come from western NY and Canada and we have some very good Chinese Rest. and I have enjoyed both good and bad meals but last nite was the worst meal I've ever had. The hot and sour soup was pure salt,soy& water, the beef & broccoli was so heavily salted you could not taste the beef or broccoli , brown rice was cold,sticky , mushy and no flavor, spinach and garlic side was spinach sans garlic very bland, egg role was ok, moo goo gu pan was okay about a 4 on taste. The service was slow asked for water never came, more duck sauce never came, waiter never around and not very helpful. So if your in Myrtle Beach Do Not waste you time, money and risk your families salt intake by going to this chain fast food rest. read more

You will have one of two experiences at the Market Commons location. If it's dead slow inside, everything will be amazing from service to food. I recommend going at odd hours like 3:30-4:30. If you go during lunch/dinner and it's steady or god help you - busy, prepare your butts for Sh*t storm. PF Changs protocol for servers is like this: sit sit sit sit sit sit sit and sit. They completely and utterly overwhelm each and everyone if them. The server we had during lunch was sat no less than 8 tables in as many minutes. It's obvious when it takes 20 minutes to get a drink and over an hour and 15 minutes to get entrees that something needs changing. I called ahead to make reservations and they told me no reservations were allowed.
