We love to try different vegan options at Chinese restaurants. We tried China Jo's a couple of nights ago (delivery), and we were blown away! The flavor is so good and the texture of the tofu is perfect! You'd swear you were eating chicken. It was delivered in a microwave safe container, and leftovers were just as good the next day! We had the Tofu Chop Suey, and their Chow Mein. We will be ordering from China Jo's often for sure!!! read more

I haven't been to a China Jo's in years! This one is very similar to the one we used to go to when I was a kid though. It's a very small, hole-in-the-wall kind of location. They have so much to choose from, so there's something for everyone. However I saw Mapo Tofu on the menu and immediately knew I wanted to try it. The lady who took my order was very sweet, and let me know that I could have the tofu with either minced chicken or minced pork - I chose chicken. My order was ready very quickly, and I was really surprised by how large the portion was, especially considering the price! A generous portion of tofu, a side of white rice, and a bottle of water only set me back about $15. I was only able to finish half, but make bo mistake: it was pretty tasty, and I'll definitely finish it for dinner! Overall, solid spot to grab a bite. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Lady who took my order was nice but I had to repeat myself a few times. They took a very long time to get my order made. A guy who was rung up after me got his within minutes. They told me it was because of the dumplings but they were not very hot. And undercooked. After almost 20 minutes, When the old man saw my order he wouldn't give it to me. Like he didn't believe it was my order. I asked for extra sweet and sour sauce and he gave me a bunch of soy sauce. Bummer. But oh well. They don't pack your utensils so make sure to get them prior. The broccoli was hard and the low mein had some hard undercooked noodles. And so did the dumplings. Felt they were freezer burned. Not fresh at all. I did enjoy the rice but with I had the sauce to put on it because it didn't have much flavor. Still good though. The orange chicken was a disappointment. Very hard inedible parts of the batter. What the hell?!?! I ordered chicken egg foo young and the orange chicken. In all my 50+ years of life, I have NEVER had egg foo young that tasted this bad. This is for a DoorDash delivery from this restaurant. When one orders food for delivery and requests in special instructions that please include hot sauce they expect to see it in their delivery. Hot sauce is a staple for Chinese food. It elevates the taste of everything. The food was decent but the omission of the hot sauce just ruined the experience. I usually get mine to go though... personally I've had better but Chinese food can be a very subjective opinion depending on how it's made and what you're in the mood for. The food at China Jo's reminds me of the classic Chinese food back in the 70's; professional prepared with lots of great taste. We have had the Crab Ragoons, Yang Chow Fried Rice, Chicken Chop Suey, and the Mongolian Beef. Each of these dishes were excellent. The owners are friendly, and the service is excellent. They also have Covid protection measures in place to keep everyone safe. China Jo's is a great takeout option any day of the week.
