Waitress was uninterested in explaining / answering our questions and seemed preoccupied. Ordered green tea. Some type of peach tea was served. Was offered oolong tea. Again, same peach tea was served. Appetizer came out and I had to ask for plates. Plates came out and were left stacked on the table and not set at our places. I'll be honest...I swore to never eat at this chain again, but what do you know (and happily)! I have a newfound love for P.F. Chang's and it is so good! I love this place!!!! The food is great, the service is always pretty attentive and the portion sizes are just enough and you can't help but get a doggy bag. The manager even came over and greeted us and asked how we were and we had a lovely conversation with him and the server. Only reason I didn't have 5 stars was due to the hostess. I came in for a late lunch- early dinner time frame and the place was empty. I was there with a friend and asked for a table for 2. The host (older woman, glasses and reddish hair) just walked away without saying a word... then after maybe 5 minutes, a server came up and offered to seat us. I guess the hostess was no where to be found. I thought it was odd, but didn't think too much of it. As we walked out I waved to the host and said goodbye and she just looked at me and then looked back down at her phone, basically ignoring me. I've worked as a host when I was younger and know that the host is supposed to be a friendly, welcoming presence for the establishment. Ive dined in several times and had no issues. I really like the outdoor seating since it is screened in and has heaters. I had a coupon in my email so I took advantage and ordered to go. I was able to order online and it gave the exact time that my order was ready. When I entered I was promptly met with the hostess. I told her I had my online order and she was aware. This place has become complete trash! It's fast food, but with prices to make you think otherwise. The Singapore noodles were way off from usual, it tasted like I was biting into a lime, to the point that's all we tasted. The sweet and sour chicken was mush and mostly filler bread. Wow!! Understood it's holiday season but it should not take 1.5 hours for a pick up order. I was told 2x that it would be 15 minutes Customer service does not exist here. They ring you up and you have to ask for an update. No follow up or acknowledgement of the delay or lack of communication regarding your order. I got the Kung Pao Chicken which, admittedly is an Americanized dish but hey PF Changs is anything but "authentic" so why not. Arrived on a slow and rainy Saturday evening. There weren't many patrons in the restaurant but my party of 3 waited at the host stand for quite some time before we were greeted. After some moments we were finally greeted and sat by a host that honestly seemed like he didn't want to come into work tonight. We also noticed staff members standing around and socializing before we got any sort of service. It just seemed like a very off night. The food was good for what we were expecting from a PF Changs. It's not supposed to be authentic take out/Chinese food so I wasn't thinking it to be that, but it did lack seasoning and flavor. My table ordered the green beans, edamame, spring rolls, crispy honey shrimp and Changs chicken all with brown rice. Everything did arrive hot and in a timely manner though. I was hoping the ambiance would make up for our food expectations and it did not. I'm giving my experience 3 stars because our server took good care of us-there are obviously way better places to get good Chinese around here. Made reservation via Open Table. We did arrive a few minutes late but as we arrived they couldn't pull up our reservations. It seemed like the Host and Hostess did not know how to work Open Table on their end. They told us we would have to wait for a table and that they were at a 45 minute wait but would try to seat us as soon as possible. That was pretty frustrating to hear but they ended up seating us after 10 minutes. PF Changs has always had really good asian fusion dishes. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Drinks were good. No complaints on food. Service was alright. Server was not very attentive or personable. She left our drinks empty and took forever to come to the table to give us our check. My only recommendation would be to improve customer service from the host desk to the servers. read more

This review is for take out. Our food was ready right away. They have a specific door for takeout that is on the side of their building. You are expected to enter the take out door only, if you go to the main entrance, you will be asked to go back outside and walk to the take out door. Once in the restaurant their is a shelf with to-go orders ready for pick up. Since we paid ahead I basically took my bag and left (a staff member will ask you if you paid ahead). I was surprised at how quick the whole process was, I was in and out in about one minute. Our food was delicious, I was craving their lettuce wraps and they were as delicious as I rembember! We also ordered egg drop soup, pot stickers and chow mien, all were delicious as well. We plan on ordering again soon! One of my favorite spots for Grubhub to do the work for me. I have ordered delivery quite a few times from this place so I have to give it five stars on that fact alone. I love PF Chang's. The food is always consistent. I literally always get the Kung Pao Shrimp, and I'm okay with that. Yes, I have ventured from time to time and ordered other things. For example, this time I ordered a plate of dumplings. No complaints. They were yummy. The spicy sauce poured on top is the key. I have recently ordered the Kung Pao Chicken as well. I found that if I order that, my Wife stays away from the shrimp version. Both shrimp and chicken use the same sauce but I will say, I find the chicken a tad bit dry. The first time I tried PF Chang, it was absolutely awful. We had ordered out. At the time, they had their own drivers. It took forever to get less than a mile down the road. The food was cold, terrible and overpriced. Flash forward a couple years and I wanted to give it another shot. This time a delivery service brought it fast and hot. But, the food... it was so incredibly inedible . My local place, which we love, serves it twice as good, half as expensive and enough to serve twice. I didn't want to compare PF to it, but found myself doing it anyway. I got the lo mein. It wasn't like any lo mein that I've ever had. I don't mean that in a good way. My son got sesame chicken which was equally bad. The egg drop soup was weird. I've never had spicy hot egg drop soup. I wasn't able to eat it. I LOVE pork fried dumplings, but theirs is not up to my usual par. The dipping sauce was gross, too. The sweet and hot soup, if that's what it's called, went in the trash. The only thing I ate was the crab rangoon, which was crabby, yet too expensive for what you get. All in all, yet again, it was a big waste of my hard earned money. All of the super cool places I used to frequent many years ago have gone to total crap. The following are my accounts of two separate visits within about a year/1.5yrs. Oh P.F. Chang's...what has happened? This spot was where memories were made over delicious food. Now, the experiences are of the not-so-delicious food, service, or experience. Gone are the days where a person presents a display of preparing 3 different sauces to have with ones meal. A friendly, "hello" at this point is difficult to come across. Came here with kids during Happy Hour and ordered several small plates. Chicken Lettuce Wraps - the rice noodles, meat and lettuce are now slapped on one plate. The three sauces are no longer given unless one specifically asks. Flavor still ok. Jicama Street Tacos Pork - Too spicy for the average person to eat. No flavor other than the red chili peppers. Tuna sushi roll - rice falling apart. Fish was scary. Taste was unacceptable. FAST FORWARD! 7/30/18 2nd visit in maybe a year and wow. Not good. Walked in & sat at bar. Saw two people behind bar. One was putting away glasses. Another was right in front of me working on a take out order. Waited 10min, was never acknowledged by either(no hello or one moment, nothing). I raised my voice to get someone's attention to even get a menu. No water. No drink. I went up to let someone at hostess stand know that I was leaving due to non-existent service at bar. The hostess insisted I sit in dining area for faster service now that they have servers. Sat in dining area waiting another 18mins for my drink. No drinks at all, but my food came out. I sat, looked around hoping someone would notice, & waited for my drinks(water & wine) in case I choke and needed to wash my food down. Drinks came out about 5mins after food. Service - Aside from bar experience, I witnessed what appeared to be a manager asking the tables around me how they're doing. He never visited my table of one. He brought one table a drink. I was not checked on by my waitress until I was almost finished w/ my meal. In fact, she walked behind me to check on a 4 top she was working on & walked right passed me after she checked on them! I got no love. Food - I ordered the vegetarian lettuce wraps and a cup of wonton soup. Lettuce wraps had a good flavor & textures were perfect! I believe they used portobello mushrooms as the main vegetable. This dish was delicious. Wonton soup was bland. Requested for a side of their chili paste to add some kick. Desperately needed. Cost - Happy Hour was acceptable but not worth the lack of service. Check your bill! My lettuce wraps rang up full price versus happy hour. My bestie and I decided to go to PF Chang's tonight. It was her first time ever going and I wanted her to have the true experience of P.F. Chang's, so I decided to take her to the one in Virginia Beach because it's older and still does the traditional things that most P. F Chang's do. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The food was delicious, fresh and very very savory. All of the foods were very fresh especially the lettuce with the lettuce wraps and that's always a big thing for me. With it being her first time, she said she did not have any complaints and that we would definitely be back. The freshness of the food along with the presentation personally makes the even better for me. Our waitress was very nice and make sure that we had everything that we needed. We did call before we got there just to make sure that it wasn't a wait since everyone is doing social distancing due to COVID-19. We had a very short wait because they wanted to make sure that the table was cleaned and sanitized. I did appreciate them not only cleaning the table but also wiping the chairs and making sure that they were sanitized as well.I loved their set up which including every other table being closed for social distancing as well as the menus being on the phone by scanning the QR code. The less hands touching different things is the best at this time. With such a great experience even with COVID-19 going on, I can definitely say that we'll be back. read more

Reviewing a recent trip to PF Chang's. A very small group of my coworkers went for a reliable, please everyone dinner. There were only 4 of us, and we were seated immediately on a Tuesday night. Our waiter was VERY nice, shoutout to him. However, we ordered our food and waited almost an hour for the entrees to come out. We got an app of the shrimp which was very fast, but idk what happened afterword. The restaurant did get slightly busier but it wasn't completely packed. Once our food did come out, it was good and hot. I got the eggplant which was good. One of my coworkers got the mapu tofu though, and we questioned if he'd gotten the wrong dish. It's VERY Americanized if that was the right dish - fried what looked like orange chicken pieces of tofu with broccoli. Very different. Overall, a typical PF Chang's but just way slow. However, at the end, our waiter mentioned he was very sorry for our wait and brought us an ice cream. Super nice of him. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat for many reasons - to include great food. However, the Virginia Beach location has repeatedly disappointed me over the past couple of years. The food quality has decreased and the experience has become below average. The restaurant renovations took away from the novelty of this location. The newer mural is a complete downgrade. The sweet and sour soup had a consistency more comparable to whole berry cranberry sauce than soup. I have come to PF Chang several times this month and the food is always great however the customer service is lacking. Today I come to PF Chang and order the Miso Ramen soup and Beef a la Sichuan. To start, my table was dirty with spilled sauce on it. Next the waitress didn't provide correct information on my rewards, I had to ask for my rice twice and the manager ended up coming out to clear up the incorrect information the waitress gave. It was all very confusing and misleading on a free entree/free appetizer. Neither was able to be used with my reward ending 12/31/19. Nothing was comped for the confusion. I will Not be returning for Awhile. Well, PF Chang has redeemed themselves. Went Wednesday 6/24 at lunch time for their lunch special. Select bowls ie Mongolian beef with rice and Changs Spicy chicken (what I ordered) are on the lunch special. They come in bowls with your choice of rice. I added broccoli which is free to the bowl and my girlfriend and I split/shared the bowls. They're very reasonably priced at $11. Hubby loves P.F. Chang's. I Very much DISLIKE IT. We order pick up all the time. I keep hoping service will get better but it just doesn't.... EVER. Calling to speak to someone is a waste of time. No one ever answers the phone. I have yet to place an online pick up order (bc that is the only way you can do it) and it's actually correct. Something is always missing, portions not standard, or the food is just plain not right. What happened to the section where you can list specifications about your food order on the website and app? Enjoyed a nice Saturday evening with my family for dinner. We were seated right away. I ordered the combination fried rice and my husband and daughter ordered the shrimp lo mien and combination lo mien. We had the pork egg roll for an appetizer. Just know you only get one egg roll cut into four parts. The portions are large enough for two people. They did get my daughters combination lo mien incorrect the first time around they gave her beef lo mien only. But it was corrected right away.
