The boarding situation needs to be arranged and improved. It is upsetting how some pets are bigger than other are left in such small rooms. They seem so sad just staring at everyone outside pass by. If you getting paid for this pet to stay in your facility please come up with a different method in which the dog can have a comfortable and happy night rather than sad and bothersome. I started bringing my dog, Arya, a few months ago to PI Paws, and think they are great. First, and most importantly, my dog is excited every morning to go. She jumps out of the car and runs to the front door. The staff is always so excited to see her, and have really spent the time to get to know her - charming qualities and mischievous behaviors alike. They are very attentive about her dietetic needs, and it seems over webcam that they really try to get every dog involved in playing each morning, which is important because my dog is really lazy and would otherwise sleep all day if the people in the rooms weren't trying to keep her engaged. I was pleased when I first showed up how strict they were on shots. My policy on shopping daycares is simple: if they don't ask about shots before letting the dog in even on a trial day, then I won't let them have my dog. Also, their late pick-up availability is so helpful since I often work late and need to get my dog after hours. The night shift is very helpful every time. I have had one groom so far, which was very good. My only complaint about the store at all is that I was cancelled on the first day I scheduled her for groom and had to do it the next day. But they were very sweet about it, and offered me a complimentary day of daycare for the cancelled groom. All in all, Arya is very happy at P.I.Paws, which of course makes me happy. read more

I live in the Hudson county NJ area and always had my dog groomed in NYC. One day I saw a man walking his dog in NJ and thought the cut was great. He advised his dog a "Schitzu" was groomed at P.I. Paws by Marina. I stopped in the store and met the staff who were all very friendly, informative and professional. I had an initial grooming consultation with Marina about my dog a "Biewer Terrier" and the type of style I desired. Marina was great. Very patient, nice, experienced and a good listener. When I dropped my dog off for the 1st grooming Marina kept in touch with me during the session, even sending me pictures to ensure she was going in the right direction. As an end result, I was very happy with my dogs cut/stlye and the customer satisfaction I was provided. Going forward I have now chosen P.I. Paws and Marina as my new Groomer. Thanks guys! read more

I love P.I. Paws, but more importantly, my 2 year old beagle adores the staff and other pups. I have used P.I. Paws mostly for overnight visits and baths. I love being able to watch my dog on the drop cam, and see the staff interact with the dogs as well. There is always one staff member in the playroom, if not two. They are so quick to pick up after the dogs and they give them wonderful affection. It is a very clean facility, I have been to the back kennel where the dogs sleep. I have NEVER experienced a bad smell inside the facility. I would highly recommend P.I. Paws to anyone looking for overnight care, I love that there is a person on site 24/7. P.I. Paws is Jessie's home away from home. Our 3 year old golden retriever loves coming here! The staff is incredible and all of them are very welcoming to the dogs and their owners. Jessie goes to P.I. Paws daily for daycare and stays overnight when we are out of town. It's so comforting to be able to depend on and trust a place with your pet and P.I. Paws is that place! My sister used to bring her dog there coco and she stopped because she was over charged for day care services and grooming. First of all I personally went with her to drop off the dog and the groomer was not there. My sister & I wanted to meet her and show her pictures of ideas we wanted for our coco & she wasn't there. her partner the one that washes the dogs- is her boyfriend whom works with her. he was there and he said she would be there within 25 minutes and that she'd call us when she got there. we didn't get a call till 2:10pm. We dropped off coco at 11:45. so coco was in a cage all alone for all that time. had we known the unprofessional groomer marina was not going to be there on time, we would have changed our appointment time. We mentioned that we wanted Coco to be in the day care playing with the other dogs since there is free day care on the day you get your dog groomed. I asked for to see her through web cam- never got a response. So when we originally called they said there is no clear price that groomer has to see the dog first. in my head I thought wow so the owner doesn't take care of the prices he leaves it in the hands of a groomer? I said ok but give me an estimate he said $80-$100 yet when the groomer marina calls me at 2:10- she gives me all this info and said the price would be $195. I said "what, thats not what i was told" thats not even the worst part viewers....she then says "oh by the way dematting fee charges are separate" i said huh how is that not included in the already over priced amount. she said its cost $25 for every 30 minutes. which is ridiculous that she had the nerve to try and be slick and charge me hidden fees. geez with a price like that i'd expect phenomenal service. Marina is the groomer and her boyfriend is the one that dematts the dogs and baths them. So you would think it would be professional for this groomer whom is given such power in that place, as to have final say on prices to be there on time for her appointments & not start her appointment 2 hours into it. also, how am i supposed to know they didnt take their sweet time with other distractions while dematting my dog, which gives them the leway to charge what they want for dematting fee's ; thats ridiculous. Its like come on big shot groomer if you're the one setting the prices and most definitely over charging as others here on yelp have expressed, the least she can do is show up on time and give me her face. I noticed no difference in Coco when we brought her home, she smelled like cheap dog perfume, her nails were still sharp and long. So I do not recommend Pi Paws. In my opinion they're thieves and when they're told they give this savy excuse that the are in it for the love of dogs.... hmmm if thats true then why are you over charging customers ... how does that show love for animals. it shows love for for a quick buck !! thats what they show not only to me but also other people here on yelp. whats sad is that the same kind of complains have gone back since 2014. You would think in 3 years they'd improve. I feel like the groomer sets the price because she keeps it all and pays a rent for her space weekly or monthly to the owners. Either that or they split every cost. Clearly the boyfriend- her personal washer is there making money as well, he pockets the dematting fee's. Their quality of work is great. I will not take away talent but milking prices to run people's pockets is an atrocious thing to do. Everyone should know it. They're not in it for the love of dogs. Pi Paws is a money hungry business. Their brochure says grooming prices started at $65, ha !! Really !! - I read a comment that someone brought their yorkie in and was quoted $90. How much smaller does a dog have to be to be charged the starting price?? The place is located in a nice area. The facility is new and appears clean as for what I saw. Then again looks can be deceiving. The impression they left off on me was very negative in the sense where their goal is not about bringing dogs together to build a socializing environment as one whom really seeks passion in animals would. Groomers become groomers because they enjoy working with animals and they feel good making dogs look cleaned up and sharp. A groomer that quotes you triple what anyone in the area charges & then has the nerve to add in after the pup was dropped off that de matting fee's are separate. $25 for every 30 minutes. That sounded like she was trying to guarentee her tip because it seems more important to her to earn a certain amount of $ for her precious time. How unprofessional is it on the owners part - of this -- "LOVE OF DOGS DAYCARE FACILITY" to deam his employe to set prices and work with her husband?? come on..... oops that may have been a secret, they don't make it known to customers. I have been taking my 3 year old golden doodle Bella there since she was 6 months old. Every morning, she runs toward the door, eager to see her friends. The staff is amazing. They are so friendly and affectionate towards all of the dogs- you can see them on camera playing , petting and interacting with them all day. I boarded her for the 1st time this summer, and I felt comfortable knowing they kept and extra eye on her since it was her 1st time. I have complete peace of mind knowing that while I'm at work, Bella is enjoying herself at PI Paws. read more

Oh, PI Paws. How I wish I was writing a better review. We have kept our bully, Frank, here a few times when we absolutely had to as well as a few trips for grooming. We've never had too many issues that would deter us from ever going again until this last trip. Frank came back to us severely dehydrated and it was clear that he hadn't eaten all weekend. I'm not really sure when my puppy as taken outside to relieve himself, but that was a serious concern as well, as we checked in frequently on Drop Cam and never saw him leave the room with other dogs he was in all day -- our pup is used to going out at least 3 times a day for walks and the bathroom, something that was made very clear to the staff when we originally started taking him there. The icing on the cake is that this time, about 4 days after he came home, Frank started exhibiting upper respiratory symptoms along with vomiting. He's now on 14 days of antibiotics after treatments at our vet -- who advised us that this was definitely something that he picked up while at the kennel, since that was the only time he was exposed to other animals or anything outside our home recently. While I definitely understand that in an environment where there are so many dogs, things can be passed around, PI Paws, PLEASE ensure that conditions are sanitary and that any dogs exhibiting symptoms are either not allowed or kept away from other dogs. I hope that no other owners have to go through what we did this past week with such a sick pup on their hands.... read more

My fiancé and I brought our 2 Cavalier King Charles here on two different occasions for an overnight stay. The first time we went to pick them up, it took about 5 minutes for someone to come to the front, and there was pee all over the place. There was a huge puddle in between the entrance and door - in the area where a dog was sleeping in (meaning - they hadn't let that dog out to release himself). I was upset when I saw that, but figured it was just a one time thing. The second time - same exact thing. No one at the front, a girl with a huge attitude, filthy floors, and dogs whining. When we got our dogs belongings we said, "wait there's still food in here" and the lady said "oh yeah we don't feed them until 11am on Sunday's. We also didn't take them out since the day before." I cannot tell you how upset and infuriated I was. We called and emailed to complain, but no one responded. No surprise there. This is an extremely unprofessional company, holding our loved ones in an unsanitary place and should truly be shut down. Another thing, prior to booking their boarding appointment, we asked if they had cameras. The lady said absolutely! When we left we asked them several times why we couldn't see them and they said "oh cameras are down." Same thing happened the second time. One last thing - my fiancé and I were walking by the area last night and I was able to take a picture to show what their establishment is really like. There was a small dog all alone in one big room on a bed, with NO WATER in his/her bowl. Disgusting and disgusted. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. read more

I have been taking my puppy here for a couple months now and couldn't be more pleased. I live in Hoboken and I make the commute every morning because I know my dog is in great hands. The staff shows so much attention to her and they are very accommodating with all my requests. Anything I ask from them, they try their hardest to make it work. Whether its taking her out every 2 hours because she is so young, or dropping her off at my apartment late at night - they really do work for you. I have tried a couple daycares in Hoboken and I just can't find one thats as caring and great as P.I Paws. Highly recommend ! You won't find a more enthusiastic and loving staff. read more

Less than pleased with this place. My dog has diarrhea every time he comes back from there. On two occasions I've waited outside for 10 minutes for someone to let me in to pick up my dog. I was also upset to see my dog alone in a room by himself when all the other rooms had multiple dogs in them. When I voiced these concerns to the people at PI Paws I was given a bunch of excuses. I recently used the day care service at PI PAWS and could not have been more pleased with the care and attention the staff gave to all of the dogs in their care. In fact, I had two dogs there for couple of the 10 days. One a young and very energetic Lab was given plenty of opportunity for exercise and play with other active dogs but the staff were quick to realize that the "more mature" Lab was happier with the less energetic dogs and kept her in the calmer environment. They were intersted in meeting the dogs' needs and flexible when I needed to bring them in before 7am one day. I am grateful to find a place I can leave our dog without worry and will continue to use PI PAWs without hesitation. read more

After I picked my dog she was vomiting the whole day yesterday. Today I took her the vet and she has a stomach infection. She is on antibiotics . I feel very disappointed at this place. I hate writing a negative review but this just wasn't a great experience for my pups and I. Due to my current groomer having a wait list I had to schedule my pups for their haircuts else where. A girlfriend had mentioned she brings her pup here for daycare so I thought since it's close by we would try. On the positive side and why I'm giving it 2 stars is the women that greeted us was very friendly. She welcomed my 2 little pups with enthusiasm and made them comfortable being there. I had 2 haircut/grooming appointments set for 130/200pm. We arrived at about 1250 and filled out paperwork. The groomer was not there and I was told she would be there in about 10 minutes. Well come 1:20 she still wasn't there. I would have preferred to meet her and explain in person what I would of liked for my dogs haircuts and explain their issues with her. I was told she would call when she came in. Around 2:15 I got a phone call from the groomer, 45 mins after they were supposed to be started? Then after a brief chat she quoted me $90 for my 6lb yorkie,and $80 for my 12lb Brussels griffon. I was shocked. Their brochure says grooming with haircuts start at $65. They charged me nearly double what my originally groomer charges. At that point I was already at work in the city so I said ok. I asked to please call when they were ready so I could Or my gf could come get them. Come 6:30pm no phone call so I headed to pick them up, upon my arrival I mentioned no one had called and the women behind the desk said it wasn't noted. Ok? this should be a given regardless but on top of me asking to please call when they are done. So they bring the dogs out and I was so unhappy with their haircuts. Again the groomer wasn't there so I wasn't able to talk to her or get them fixed. My yorkies legs looked like that had barely been cut and his hair overall was longer then I would of liked. My Brussels griffon on the other hand was shaved soooo short and left his beard long. I felt so bad he was basically nude. They also both smelled like they had dumped abottle of cheap cologne on them. For that kind of money I'd expect much better quality of service. It's very unprofessional that the groomer wasn't there. I won't be returning. I'd rather wait for a quality haircut from my other groomer then pay that type of money for an aweful haircut and service or lack thereof read more
