I came here with my cousins a few weeks ago, we were able to make a resy pretty easily for the weekend. It's a huge place and definitely stroller friendly. I will say our server was great- he was also extremely friendly and we liked chatting with him! Food wise I wasn't super impressed. The burgers were highly recommended so I ordered one and shared a lobster roll with my husband. But were just ok and I wouldn't come back to get these. I did enjoy the appetizers more. The calamari and zucchini/eggplant chips were good. The oven baked pretzels were nothing special. Overall I think if you're in the area and want a quick bite it could be an option, but I wouldn't travel in from queens, pay for parking in a lot and come here to eat. read more

This place managed to turn a birthday celebration into a collections job. We came in with a group of 10+ people. At the beginning, they asked for one card to put on file, so I did what they asked. Only AFTER the meal was over did they suddenly blindside me with the announcement that they wouldn't split the check because of "policy." To be clear, I wasn't asking for itemized checks. I literally asked:"Can you just divide the bill evenly across more cards?" Answer: no. "That's the policy." So now, instead of enjoying the night, I'm walking around interrupting conversations and chasing money from people I barely know because the restaurant dumped their operational problem onto me personally. Some people paid quickly. Others said they only had one drink. Others thought the average was too high and paid less. By the end of the night, after doing all the work myself, I was still about $150 short when I only had a burger. The waitress at least tried to help. Management could not have cared less. The manager actually walked outside just to repeat "that's the policy" instead of making even the smallest effort to help fix a situation THEY failed to disclose upfront. And as a final touch, once the damage was done, they wouldn't even let me switch the final charge to another card. The reason? Policy, of course. The frustrating part is that this was all completely avoidable. If they had simply warned us BEFORE ordering that large groups couldn't split checks, we could have planned accordingly. Instead, they waited until everyone had eaten and then trapped one person into being financially responsible for the chaos. Food was fine. Hospitality was awful. read more

Very popular restaurant in Brookfield place. Wanted to see what the hype was about because there was a waitlist. Ordered a burger and lobster roll. To be honest the food was pretty underwhelming. I felt like it's on par with a food truck. The lobster was pretty dry. The burger was alright but the presentation could have been better. The food arrived pretty quickly but it didn't seem like the servers really wanted to be there. One dropped a plate on the floor.. it was a very loud scene.. and just nonchalantly used her feet to kick it to the side while the other servers just watched. I guess dropping things is common here. An upscale American bar that specializes in their seafood, but all their options are great. I highly recommend the poblano burger, extremely fresh and a little bit different than your standard bar fare. The roast turkey club might also be one of the best turkey clubs I've ever had! I've also tried the crispy cod sandwich which rather tasty, albeit a little messy, so prepare yourself with a napkin. Most recently I've had the roast chicken Caesar salad, and that might be my favorite thus far. Chicken was perfectly cooked and honestly has my mouth watering even now just thinking about it. The prices can be a little steep even for Manhattan but you definitely get your money's worth in quality. The outdoor bar during the warmer months is also a great time, but it can be a little burdensome to get the bartender's attention with the sheer volume of people that show up. read more

I visited PJ Clarke's twice this week. Once for a quick late night meal after I checked into my hotel & again for a late lunch on Friday. I checked out the menu online before I visited & had my eye on the salmon tartare & lobster roll. The salmon tartare didn't come with anything to serve it on so I used the potato chips that accompanied my lobster roll as a vessel. I chose the Connecticut style lobster roll which had a pretty good amount of lobster but the roll was a bit stale. My cocktail, the ST. GERMAIN FIZZ which featured elderflower liqueur, fresh lime was light & refreshing. I returned for lunch with my colleague on Friday & we shared the ZUCCHINI & EGGPLANT CHIPS appetizer. He had the chicken sandwich & I had the lobster Cobb sandwich which was beautifully presented, light, delicious & had a nice amount of lobster. So the calamari is good and nothing special like other fried calamari. I don't like the idea of all of the peppers In there. They are mushy, which then causes the calamari to be soggy and not crispy because of all the grease they hold, but I love the horseradish Tatar sauce. This dip is delicious. Now, the shepherd's pie is pretty good and has a great flavor. I would get this again. I also got the cheesecake, and I have to say it is pretty darn good. You can taste the cream cheese and all the flavors that make it a cheesecake. Overall, this was a great place to enjoy a nice dinner with a view of the Statue of Liberty. A very large place and they were able to accommodate our group no problem (with a reservation of course). The service and food were both fantastic. My bar was low, people! I ask for it well done, not easy to achieve without drying it out. Perfection. On a bed of artichoke hearts and some squash I dived in. . I was devouring it, needed a decent meal to be honest. We shared an order of their delicious FF's. A winner with sea salt and truffle oil. This is the only place I eat fries, well I take that back with sea salt and truffle oil, anywhere definitely not frozen. The service was fast but not rushed, old friends wanted to settle in defuse by the water. The location is so beautiful. An end to summer first day of fall night, a bit humid or we would have eaten outside. It's always nice to be on or near the water. The night was serene after a walk through the former ground zero, the reflection pools, a beautiful mall. It's amazing so much history in one corner. I must say it's become a peaceful bitter sweet location. There is something for everyone, just a drink, fresh clam bar or FRESH anything. Never disappointed, the food is FRESH. I also recommend walk through the bar for a back table it's quiet the restaurant is huge, reservations recommended. Seating outside peaceful with views of sail boats and huge yachts just steps away from 911 museum and twin towers. The city at night overlooking NJ is surely a powerful example of strength and resilience. PS I don't usually take pics of food, only pretty dessert. A burger looks like a burger, salmon looks like salmon. I try and capture the dining experience, food fresh with good service. If it was a clear day, we could see all the way out to the Statue of Liberty. Our server was fast and friendly! We split the warm zucchini and eggplant chips with feta and tzatziki and it was SO good! We'd highly recommend those to start. My mom and I both got soup, and both were just okay. Came for a super late lunch/early dinner. There were plenty of seats and the view was nice. Ordered the miso baked oysters ($17 for 4 oysters... to share so that's $4.25 an oyster!) Pretty expensive but it was fresh. My friend got the proper fish & chips ($27) - craft beer batter and tartar sauce on the side. The batter was mushy so that was disappointing. I got the Cadillac burger which had double smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion served with dill pickles and sea salt fries ($25). Burger was ok and it was pretty small. We arrived, put name down, and walked around for another 30 mins before being seated. The ambiance is great with fairy lights wrapped around the trees. Pretty romantic at night! Food, on the other hand, was just average. East coast oyster (4/5): Decent and not fishy! Bread and butter (4/5): Crazy how it's $4 for bread but it wasn't bad. Clam chowder (2/5): Sour tasting and watered down. Pomegranate cosmopolitan (1/5): I can't taste the pomegranate. This entire cocktail tasted like rubbing alcohol. read more

Great views but that is all I can say about this establishment. Understandably busy during the start to summer happy hour season, but the waitstaff act as if your presence is disturbing them. Waiters forget to bring your orders, do not communicate wait times well, and do not bring over silverware to eat the food you ordered. I came here for a work lunch and the views are beautiful, service is great but food is disappointing. Maybe my expectations were too high but I thought their burger was just average. I ordered the au poivre burger medium and it was a little dry and didn't have much flavor except the peppercorn. The fries were nice and crispy though. My coworker and I also split the sea scallop tartare which was ok. The pepe rosa was a nice touch but the scallop wasn't anything exceptional and the four mandarin slices seemed out of place. Our 2 burgers and scallop tartare cost $84 including tax and tip which is steep for the quality.
