It was our first time at Edward's as we wanted to check out Cincinnati night. Why did we wait so long to go?! The decor and ambiance are classic bistro diner. The service was good, considering they were rushed off their feet due to the crowd. It was my first time having 5 way and it was good. The Graeters ice cream was really good - was very impressed by the quality of the chip. Definitely want to go back for their regular menu as well as for Cincinnati night again.

Sit at the bar, grab the tuna sandwich and listen to locals complain about their daily lives.

Love love love- attended an off broadway event at The Flea Theatre- popped in with friends for a quote bit because the nearby restaurants kitchens were not opening for another 30 minutes. Best decision!!! We sat at the bar terrific customer service - the food was unexpectedly delicious. 3 days before we dined across the street and either place will give you equally delicious meals - yup I said it!!! You should Go!!!

Had a great brunch here on Sunday. The huevos rancheros was particularly excellent. The tuna was good, but could have done with a little more flavor on the sandwich. Staff were nice and attentive. Great neighborhood spot!

Rigatoni with Italian Sausage & Creamy Tomato Sauce

This restaurant is located in a building built in 1915. One can still lots of the remnants of the past. Ordered the Spicy Calamari w spicy marinara and tartar sauce (pic on right). Fried to perfection. Tartar sauce not sure if home made or not but decent. Ordered for main meal the Rigatoni w Italian Sausage in Creamy Tomato Sauce. Dare I say delicious? Yes; delicious. Don't expect the sausage to be whole rather it's finely diced and my new preference. The cream sausage - divine. I enjoyed this so much actually ordered another to go. Parking; lucked out on off street parking. Ambiance is the charm of a building over 100 years of age. Wait staff cordial and offered recommendation of what they liked on the menu. Would I go back again; I would but not often since I'm in NJ and trekking to NY I find to be a pain. Might use public transport to get their next time. We were a party of 3 and sat at the bar.

I really liked this place for brunch. We sat outside and it was ok in the shade (when the sun hit we had to move a bit). The food was delicious from the bagel with salmon and capers, huevos rancheros, to the eggs to the coffee! The waitresses were very nice and very attentive! I like the vibe of the place as well- very chill and very relaxed. I live the inside with all of the decor and the bottles lined up! Very low key and very neighborhood friendly.

    Grilled Chicken Sandwich

I was feeling some sandwiches and fries for lunch this day so I stopped by. It was also a really hot day so I ate inside. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich that came with salted fries. The workers here are super nice and do their best to give you a pleasant dine-in experience. My food came out pretty quickly - roughly 15 mins. The fries were fried and salted nicely. They were thin enough to be super tasty. The bread for my sandwich was toasted just right - though it made it hard to bite into as the sandwich was stuffed with a lot of chicken and toppings. It was really tall. So biting it was a bit of a challenge, even with a big open mouth. But it was still delicious. Chicken had great flavor too but it was a bit dry in some areas. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience.

Restaurant interior. Empty due to Covid-19, Phase 2 restrictions.

This was my first time seeing one with roasted duck though. Just a heads up that the street felt a bit sketchy even though it's near the edge of Chinatown. We were unfortunately harassed by someone outside of the store and ended up giving him a few dollar bills... *Chinese Sausage Mala Wrap $10 ** The lap cheong was spread so evenly throughout that I got some in almost every bite. The mala aioli was quite spicy, but not overpowering or lingering. The crispy shallots added such a nice crunch too which I loved! *Duck Tsangwich $16 I was quite surprised that the roast duck skin stayed crispy! The crackly cookie topping could've been thicker since it was pretty flat. They give you chili oil on the side, but it was already super flavorful with the hoisin sauce. Only thing I wished for was more cucumber and scallion to help balance out the richness.

Today, I got a PISILLO panini with ciabatta bread and it was so damn big! I had half of it for lunch and the other half will be saved for my dinner! This panini was just too long and big. I had to open my mouth really wide to take bites out of the big panini and it was annoying. It tasted good though! I love the balsamic dressing, arugula, tomatoes, and bufula mozz cheese the most out of the whole sandwich! The dressing made it really good and soften the ciabatta bread for easier chewing. My poor mouth and teeth! The whole panini cost $22.21 including tax in cash. There was an atm machine by the entrance in case you don't have cash. The whole place was very cozy and tight knit chairs and tables on both sides of the restaurant. The staff was very fast and I got my panini in not time. I did not have to wait that long. I was just amazed at the size of the ciabatta bread. They had many different types of bread that I can try next time like the focaccia, sfilatino, and semolina bread that looked really good behind the display glass. ((4.5 stars)) Sunny…read moreand Annie's is very much a 24/7 neighborhood gem of a corner store and deli. it's packed with packaged foods--candy, chips, cookies, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, and a lot more plus the deli counter serves ups an endless list of creative sandwiches. i am not going to say this place is cramped but it kinda is. for example, if people stand in the wrong areas of the store, it will cause a complete standstill of a traffic jam in the store. my advice: order from the deli (and stand somewhere people aren't trying to get to) or grab whatever you need, pay, and leave. this place is not a place to linger. keep it moving. anyway, the obvious draw of Sunny & Annie's is the endless list of sandwiches that are handwritten cards that are stuck outside glass of the deli counter. there is literally something for the pickiest eaters--from hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, wraps, and more. some sandwiches are named celebrities, politicians, etc. i have ordered a bunch of different sandwiches and have not made it through much of the menu. you can also create your own Frankenstein monster of a sandwich. while the sandwiches are a big part of the draw, the insane amount of snack foods crammed into the store is quite remarkable from the large stand of Doritos, Takis, Cheetos and other popular branded snack foods in the front to the separate stand of Wise snacks to an entire back corner of the store filled with all kinds of chips, popcorn, etc. imo, Sunny's has the freshest-tasting Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. i know an insane take consider it's a packaged popcorn snack from a megacorp (PepsiCo), but i'll die on this hill. maybe it's cause Sunny's sells a lot of Smartfood popcorn so it gets refreshed often, maybe they have a secret in/pipelinbe from the factory, or it's just magic/alchemy. i don't know, but the Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn never tastes stale-ish like it does at grocery stores, the bags never feel deflated because they have been on shelf long, and the popcorn never has that soft mouthy feel but still has the crunch to it. maybe it's just me, but Sunny's serves a great list of sandwiches...AND the freshest Smartfood Cheddar Popcorn. beyond the snacks, the service from the deli to cashier is upbeat and friendly. in all seriousness, Sunny and Annie's is an Avenue B institution at this point and remains a charming family-owned store--and is NOT a sterile modern clone of a neighborhood business.
