Even In-N-Out Burger is not as cheap as it used to be. Still, a hefty $6 Double Double is worth it any day of the week for me. I was making a quick trip through the Stone Hill Town Center and the craving for a Double Double hit me like a train. My order at an In-N-Out is simple: burger. Their burgers are so satisfying I don't need their mediocre (sorry In-N-Out truthers) fries. Sometimes I'll grab a drink or a shake, but this time all I needed was that burger. The service during the lunch rush was pretty speedy and in about five minutes after ordering inside, I had my bag in my hand, and I was out the door. The staff was friendly and on-point and the inside looked like every In-N-Out ever. Every In-N-Out has been consistent. The lettuce, tomato, and onions are always a solid ratio to the two patties and cheese they throw down. They never overdo it on their sauce either. Truth be told we rarely do fast food burgers very often but I can't classify In-n-Out with other chains you find on every corners...One thing for sure is the cleanliness in next level, hospital clean with its bright white and red. Being from Southern California, I grew up eating In-N-Out a lot. I got excited when they started popping up in Texas, especially in Pflugerville. All has been good but quite frankly, I dont know whree the quality has gone. Sure, I dont eat meat, so I order a grilled cheese with all the fixings minus onions (as you can see in the picture, there are some grilled onions in there.. I had scraped most of it off). Does there seem to be a shortage of lettuce or something? I have provided a picture to show exactly the amount of lettuce that was in my grilled cheese. I wish I could say this was a one time thing, but it isn't. I know employees from In-N-Out come from California to train the staff in different states. WOW. First time trying In and Out burger and boy was it amazing. I highly recommend ordering the double cheese burger with grilled onions. The staff was very friendly, I thought the food was going to be served quick but it wasn't they actually don't start making your food until you order it which is awesome because everything we ordered was fresh. We order 2 double cheeseburger with fries and 3 cheeseburger with fries, after you order they ask would you like onion on your burger? we said yes, but it wasn't until I was sitting there waiting for my food that I went on Yelp and the fellow Yelpers said make sure you order grilled onion. This was my first time visiting this location. I had a horrible experience. When the person outside took my order he turned his back to me while I was driving up. I ordered 2 doubles one to eat in my car the other along with a single to be bagged. I told him everything on them with onions. I noticed that at both windows I was glared at in a bad way and actually the girl at the second window appeared to be nervous! I knew from experience that this was going to be a mess! I picked up my order and everything was in the bag. I told her that one order was for the car! She passed me a bag through the window!! When I ordered, paid, then went up to the grab-food/pick up window I asked one of the kind gentleman if they could change it from a bun burger to one wrapped in veggie. They asked if I was okay with it and the longer wait time and I said it was. No questions asked. After many years, they've finally got it down, especially this one here in Pflugerville, of all places. Whoever runs this store definitely does a great job with staffing. All of the employees, every visit, have been wonderful. From cooking, to order taking, to upkeep, etc, this In-N-Out is outstanding. For all of you newcomers, order a Double Double and a side of fries, Animal Style with a chocolate shake. It's a perfect, delicious, inexpensive fast food meal. But if you're really hungry, get yourself a Triple Triple (3 x 3) or a Quad Quad (4 x 4). And for the record, In-N-Out fries are the best.
