This restaurant was not as good as people said it was. The chicken nuggets were okay but it just had a weird taste to it. The ranch was pretty bland too so it did not add much to the dish. The fries were super weird and not good. It tasted like the outer part of a fry with no potato inside. The fry tasted like it was hollow. read more

Went here last night to try the food for the first time. Just wanted to try something new that was considered a local fav. I didn't have high expectations, but was hoping the food would be decent. The food was beyond trash. The fries were stale and tasted like i was eating dry rice paper, no salt no flavor. The burger was smothered in craft American cheese and the quality of the food below mid. So was the taste. I won't ever eat there again. There's too many better options out there like in and out burger, jack in a box, Popeyes, urban bird hot chicken and ect... P. Terry's is one of our favorite places to get food out for our family. We can trust the ingredients are good quality and the price is very reasonable. We went through the drive thru on our way home from a long day where it was just easier to get food out. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until we got home we didn't get all that we ordered. We were told this cool burger joint is the In & Out of Texas. The fries are delicious, and the burgers are decent, albeit not as good as In & Out. Their Lakeway location patio views are amazing. Staff did not greet anyone entering and it took some time to catch someone's attention to place an order at the counter. This location appears to be the local high school hang out and the staff seemed a bit put off by it. read more

I had some family friends come in from out of town. Naturally after a roadtrip people are hungry, it was about 9:30 when they arrived so we went to grab food for everybody. They wanted a local spot. We pull up at 9:50 tell them it is going to a kinda large order 9 sandwiches and fries and drinks. Order everything is great When we get to the window I notice it's a cashier we had had before and he usually gives attitude like he's better than the job he's at. Lo and behold guess what he does when we get to the window. The same old catty better than this job attitude. We asked him for a drink holder and starts to mutter something under his breath. We ask him what he said and starts to act surprised we called him out on his behavior. He then has a problem the rest of the time and walks away. I won't be retuning to this location and you definitely need to handle that guy. He had like blonde highlights in his hair and wore glasses, had pretty crazy 5 o'clock shadow. read more

This is for our experience around 3pm last Saturday, May 31st. Better late than never. Gave P. Terry's a shot 2 years ago (at another location in Austin) during our first vacation to Texas. Still a solid place and a must eat while visiting. Friendly service from the young lady when ordering at drive thru. Great service from the young man who handed us our food. Though the prices increased since our last visit, it's definitely worth it! Double cheeseburger w/bacon, number 2 with fries & drink, chicken bites with their spicy special sauce. I'm glad this location finally opened in Round Rock and super cool design! It was fun watching it be built and now the drive-thru experience like going through a forest... A red forest. They could even be flowers but whatever the giant red things are they are super cool! Perfectly located right off the interstate with fast and courteous service. I usually get through the drive through line in about 10 minutes. The double cheeseburger is all you need to fill up and hit the spot! read more

I don't usually write reviews for fast food chains but in case there is any arguments as to which burger joint is better in the Austin area...P.Terry's is definitely the better choice (my opinion of course) :). I tried a few (those the we don't have in Miami) and P.Terry's by far was the best one that I tried. Maybe it was the location...maybe i was hungry, but their burgers and fries tasted fresh and natural. This will definitely be my go to fast food when I'm here. read more

I like me some P Terrys but today it lacked hugely the drive thru was slow as was service and then they forgot my jalapeños on my hamburger. The double lanes were not efficient 5-6 cars came and went to us waiting in line. I finally asked where our food was if it wasn't for us asking he would of just stood there. I'm not coming back to this location. Too bad too since they are off of freeway this will be huge Let down for whoever tries them out. read more

I ordered delivery thru Caviar (Doordash sister company). I went for: * double cheeseburger w/ special sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon * crispy chicken burger, make it spicy * 3 oatmeal chocolate chip cookies Both burgers were great, they were hot, the cheese was melted, no toppings were missing, honestly no complaints. And the chicken patty was actually crispy! They were very satisfying especially for the price I paid. I mistakenly forgot to get fries which I still regret but hey I don't think my body needed that anyways. I got 3 cookies because they were $1 each and CLEARLY as a New Yorker, I forgot that everything is bigger is Texas. These cookies are huge and I would have been fine with just one. So now I am in abundance of delicious treats. For burgers under $5 and these gigantic cookies for $1 this is a really great deal and I'd definitely reorder. Glad my experience wasn't the same as a lot of the lower reviews here. read more

My first time at P. Terry's and I'm not likely to go back. We were in the drive thru at least 20 minutes. Got two cheese burgers, two fries and drinks. I liked the bun on the burger but that was about it. The patty was quite small and tasteless. I had hopes for the fries but opened the bag and it looked like a clump of potatoes. I'm going to give this place 4 stars. Not because the burgers are the most amazing. Just a step above average fast food burgers. Their fries are very good and fresh cut. Not old frozen processed fries like most. 3 of us got combo meals for $23 and felt we got a good value. Chronic Fries is not "borrowing space" from Urban Chicken. The two institutions are one and the same. The menu for one is printed on the back of the menu for other. They may have a complicated ownership structure - But that does not get around the fact that this is simply a fast food restaurant where you can order both chicken and fries. * * * I don't see why Chronic Fries would want to be a virtual kitchen. Virtual kitchens are awful antiseptic places where there is no place to sit down. In a virtual kitchen, you get your food from a numbered box. In a virtual kitchen, there is screen against a wall from which you order. Otherwise, you use your phone. It takes effort to make contact with a human being. Virtual Kitchens are total THX 1138. Virtual kitchens s**k. * * * Chronic Fries/Urban Chicken is a nifty place for a fast food restaurant. They have tons of seating both indoors and outdoors. The crowd is heavily college-age which may or may not be collegiate. The crowd is diverse the way Round Rock is diverse. The crowd has a lot of church kids the way Round Rock has a lot of church kids. My male companion and I were the oldest people in the place. Virtual kitchens don't have crowds - let alone young ones. * * * The fries are super-duper. (Okay, for a college aged place, I probably should have used a term less dated than "super-duper".) For the maximum french fry bliss experience, get any version with chicken on top. Some versions give you chicken automatically. All versions let you order chicken on top as an add-on. Urban Chicken does a good chicken And what goes on your French Fries will be top notch. We got three kinds of fries. The standout was the BBQ Mac and Cheese Fries. Hot Cheetos Fries were just what they sound like. The sides that don't have much Hot Cheetos on them are not all that interesting. You get to the part with industrial quantities of ground up Hot Cheetos on top and, Suddenly things start to go live action. Plain macaroni and cheese fries are not that exciting by themselves. But they sell about half a dozen sauces to put on top of your macaroni and cheese fries. Some of those look like they could make a real compelling argument That they belong on your fries If your toppings are not exotic enough already. * * * Just for the record, they also run a soft-serve operation. That soft-serve operation offers milk shakes as a possible beverage. Thumbs up on the soft serve milk shakes. Their version of an Oreo Milkshake has about a truckload of Oreo crumbs dumped on top. On a milkshake that means that the crumbs end up all on the bottom with your maraschino cherry. Why oh why, in the 21st century, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries? Why oh why, in the 20th century, the 19th century, the 18th century or any century that you can possibly think of, do we still have to put up with maraschino cherries?
