Everything has been going great, but we recently had a little hiccup when I added a whole home water filtration system. I was a little frustrated and it took a little bit to get the right person on the phone, but I'm really happy to know that they are the same company from 11 years ago. They went above and beyond to take care of the problem. I've heard nightmare stories about other companies in the area that will install something and if there is a problem, you are on your own. I see a 1-star review from someone who was frustrated with lack of customer service. I was frustrated with this too. The AI phone interface can be frustrating, but there are good people working there who are trying to do the right thing. It just might take a little bit of patience to get the right person on the other end of the phone. I do know that they are addressing this problem. Julian is my plumber and Sam is my HVAC guy and when they come to the house it's like having old friends visit. At the end of the day, that's what keeps me coming back to them. The work is solid, the technicians are knowledgeable, and when something does come up they stand behind what they do. Eleven years later, that still says a lot about the kind of company they are. I have no hesitation to call them for some of the bigger upcoming purchases that our household needs, like a new AC unit and a tankless water heater. I am very happy with how they addressed this past issue and will be calling them in the future.

They came back out and diagnosed two other issues, no mention of why we don't think that those things weren't present the first visit. So I paid for first and second visit. I think I should have been refunded the first visit since clearly that service didn't fix the job. Oh and the best is they already started trying to up sell me a whole new system...they installed mine 10 years ago. They were better 10 years ago.

After discovering some of my duct connections were wrapped in asbestos, a specialized asbestos abatement company was hired to remove the asbestos & everything in contact with it. After that was completed, Insulation Labs was hired to: Remove all of the old blown-in insulation (with a giant vacuum); sanitize the attic; Air Seal any openings into the attic including any electrical wiring or fixtures (ceiling lights, attic fans & plumbing/HVAC pipes or runs). Also included was Rodent Exclusion (performed by a pest control company) - sealing up any places that allowed entrance or exit into or out of the attic. And finally, Installing R38 roll-in fiberglass insulation (cut to fit inside of the rafters). The entire crew (up to 6 or 8 individuals) were AWESOME! Especially Victor & Domingo! But when we needed to change out an old bathroom vanity for a new one, we knew we had to get serious about it. And if you hire a plumber to do the work, which DOES involve some plumbing, then it costs way more. I resigned myself to the search and literally just contacted the most popular handyman service in my town based on Yelp reviews. Guess what? thank goodness I did! 805's Handyman (NOT to be confused with "805 Handyman") responded right away--even though it was a Sunday and the World Cup games were on. I uploaded pics, sent in the details, got an estimate, and made an appointment. On the day of, a nice truck drove up with the logo painted proudly on the side (not a guy in a fancy sports car, like handyman #9). Two sturdy guys came in and got down to business right away--no fuss, all smiles, and dare I say it? Like they loved what they do. (Unlike handyman #7 who was a former engineer and complained the whole time, even refusing to do some tasks!) Long story shorter, the bathroom vanity switcheroo turned out to be bigger and messier project than expected. It ended up involving some retiling, grouting, electrical adjustments, alterations to trim, painting--and the plumbing bits and installation and removal. The workers were quiet, helpful, communicated the whole time and were just generally old-school excellent (unlike handyman #4, who was nice, but got everything crooked and a bit wonky, bless his heart). The 805's Handyman workers did ALL the plumbing/installing/electrical/tile work/painting--the whole shebang. And the end result is a sweet transformation for our upstairs bath (I also asked them to take care of a few more items on my to-do list, which they did quickly and again, with smiles). The whole thing was very gratifying. So much so, that the next time something in our house needs fixing, I will actually look forward to hiring 805's Handyman again. We're lucky to have them in the Ventura area and they are popular on Yelp for very good reasons.

He came with all his supplies and was prepared, he swapped out my old, ugly lighting fixtures and put in the new ones no issue. He was careful but prompt with getting this task complete. Very nice guy and someone you could trust and who did a honest thorough job. Aside from doing great work and being professional, the price point was also very reasonable compared to ten other quotes I got (yes, I do my research). It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

I hired AWS Solar to install solar panels on my home In May 2026. They completed the job a few…read moreweeks later. They did a very good jod. I am pleased. However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

Very nice in person, Takes measurements and discusses. This was a Friday, so I understand we might not get the estimate soon. I'm told, if not this weekend, I'll get it to you by Monday eod. No worries, that's reasonable. Heck, it can be any day, just do what you promise. Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Call Wednesday. Says I'm really busy, No apology until I call them out on what they promised. I didn't set the expectation, they did. I tell them, if we don't even have a contract and you're being like this, what am I to expect? Next day, I get a text about the room to be done, is it upstairs or downstairs, and the bathroom, is it being done? I'm totally confused, we never spoke about a bathroom and the room is upstairs. I get the quote finally. It's ~$30k more than another quote I got from a 5 star Yelp business. WTH. Looking deeper into the quote, it's talking about terracota tile and grout...we never spoke about that, we spoke what I already have downstairs, which is laminate. They even stated, that's a manufactured piece we can't get anymore but we can get something close to match. Don't always believe Yelp reviews, but I'd believe this one.

Sloppy work, terrible customer service (won't return calls), Approximately 2 to 2.5 years ago, Pacific Aire installed a Rheem RA14AZ24AJINA air conditioning condensing unit paired with a Maytag MG2E056F1ABM2 furnace at my residence. The total cost of the installation was approximately $13,000. Given the substantial investment and the expectation that HVAC equipment should provide many years of reliable service, I am extremely concerned that both major components of this system are already experiencing serious failures. As of mid-May 2026: * The furnace is no longer operable and will not ignite. * Pacific Aire's technician has indicated that the air conditioning compressor is showing signs of failure but states its not covered under warranty unless it fails completely. * Pacific Aire has now reported that the duct system contains significant deficiencies, including multiple large openings and evidence of standing or pooled water within the ductwork located in the subfloor space. What is most troubling is that these ductwork deficiencies are only now being brought to my attention, more than two years after the installation of the new equipment. If the ductwork was in such poor condition that it could negatively affect system performance, efficiency, reliability, and longevity, I believe a competent HVAC contractor should have identified these conditions before installing approximately $13,000 worth of new equipment. Had these issues been disclosed at the time of installation, I would have expected Pacific Aire to provide recommendations and options for correcting the ductwork before proceeding with the installation. Instead, new equipment was installed and is now reportedly failing in less than three years while the contractor attributes at least part of the problem to conditions that should have been identified and discussed from the outset. In addition to the equipment concerns, I have been disappointed by Pacific Aire's customer service. Four separate messages have been left for Derek, the manager, requesting a discussion regarding these issues. To date, none of those calls have been returned. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable, particularly given the seriousness of the concerns and the substantial investment involved. I have called today to speak to a General Manager and I have not heard from Him/Her. Because of their lack of a response, I have had to have another company come out to inspect the units. They found water in the ducts because of the shoddy work that Pacific Aire did with the new installation. The furnace is not level so water from the evaporator pan is not going down the drain, as this is the high side of the pan because furnace is not level. The low side of the drip pan is overflowing into the ducts. So, now I have to worry about the possibility of black mold and contaminated acidic water inside of the ducts which is sending this air throughout the house. The new tech said there is several gallons of water inside of the ducts! Once finding water in the ducts they investigated some more and found the furnace was not installed level and that is the cause of the water in the ducts. i only left a 1 star rating because i couldn't leave ZERO stars !!!!! read more

After receiving bids from seven different HVAC companies, I was close to giving up on finding the right heat pump system. Many companies either didn't offer a heat pump or only pushed the brands they were familiar with. Then I met with Armando from Pacific Aire, who, without any prompting, recommended the Daikin Fit--a unit I had been researching extensively for its energy efficiency. I was thrilled to finally find a company that understood my needs. The installation process was seamless. The biggest delay was waiting for HOA approval, but once that was sorted, Omar and his team got to work quickly. They were punctual, accurate with their project timelines, and extremely professional. Omar's communication was top-notch, making the entire experience stress-free. His teammates, Ryan W. and Robert F., were equally professional, kind, and courteous. During the insulation work, Vincent and Johnnie were efficient and patient, answering all my questions. A particularly impressive aspect of the service was Omar's keen attention to safety. During the initial inspection, he identified a loose gas line shut off inside our home--a significant risk, especially on the first floor. Even though addressing this issue was outside the scope of their work, Omar made sure to cap the line and eliminate the hazard, potentially preventing a serious safety issue for my family. Additionally, Tyler D. demonstrated integrity by identifying existing condensate plumbing in our attic. He informed us that since we already had this setup, the cost for new condensate plumbing would be removed from the estimate. This honesty and attention to detail saved us money and added to our overall positive experience. A special mention goes to David P. for his meticulous electrical work. Our electrical panel is limited to 100A service and already supports a heat pump dryer, heat pump water heater, and EV charger, making it nearly fully utilized. The addition of CT sensors on every breaker further complicated the setup, making the panel quite messy and difficult to work in. Despite this, David went above and beyond by cleaning up the panel and installing a CT sensor on the new 25A breaker for the Daikin Fit heat pump, even though this was not part of the original scope. The Daikin Fit itself is an outstanding product. The outdoor unit is whisper-quiet, I have to stand real close and even then I can't hear it. I just see the fan spinning. And the energy efficiency is impressive. It's using less power than my old window unit, which only cooled a single room, while now my whole house is comfortable. If you're looking to upgrade from an old, expensive-to-run AC unit, I highly recommend contacting Pacific Aire and asking about this incredible ducted heat pump. Another greedy mismanaged company that dupes its clients! Their technicians are knowledgeable but they still try to sell you products and services that you don't need-every time they visit! We became a member last summer, for a recurring charge of $16.95/month. They were supposed to come inspect our furnace and AC twice a year and replace the air filter. Well, they called us in March to come inspect our furnace! I told them that they missed the boat. Winter was over and that I had already replaced the filter myself, and our furnace was working fine all winter long! Called on May 19th to make an appointment for our AC unit inspection and the earliest possible appointment they could give us was June 29th, nearly six weeks later! Took our dissatisfaction to higher management, Tom. Was told that he would contact the dispatch and would get back to us regarding an earlier date. Never heard back from him again! So we called and canceled our membership. Mind you, not only do they nitpick on your equipment every time they visit so that they can sell you something and charge you for it, they also bring you the cheapest, lowest quality air filters that probably costs them $2. We have disputed 8 months worth of recurring charges through our credit card company. If we get our money back, some justice has been served. If we don't get our money back due to some fine-print mumbo jumbo in their contract, then they have stolen $135.60 from two hard-working teachers without providing any services whatsoever since last summer, and we did pay them nearly $300 last year for their service when they came in to replace a damaged capacitor. I must add, two years ago we wanted to move our furnace unit from a closet into the attic and Pacific Aire quoted us $7000 to do it. Got it done at another air conditioning company for half that price, including the removal of asbestos, along with the state certificate and all warranties. PACIFIC AIRE IS A GREEDY, OVERPRICED, GIANT CORPORATION WHOSE OWNERSHIP REAPS ALL THE BENEFITS. It has honest, hard-working, knowledgeable employees whose ultimate goal, unfortunately, is to fill up the pockets of this hungry corporation at the expense of their clients emptier pockets. Review 1 - Tankless Water Heater Installation We had a great experience with Pacific Aire, thanks to technicians Robert F. and Noah V. They replaced our old water heater with a new tankless system, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. They worked quickly and efficiently, communicated constantly with each other while moving and installing the heavy equipment, and were clearly focused on doing the job safely and correctly. It was reassuring to see how well they coordinated to avoid injury or damage to the unit. On top of that, they left the area cleaner than they found it, which I really appreciated. Both Robert and Noah were courteous, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pacific Aire based on this experience. ---- Review 2 - PRV Installation Once again, Pacific Aire delivered excellent service, this time with Robert F. installing a new PRV on our main water line. Robert worked efficiently, did clean and solid work, and left the area spotless when he was done. What really stood out, though, was that he went above and beyond to make sure we understood how all of our water shut-offs work -- not just for the house, but also from the main street line. After several years of waiting to replace our 1965 single-paned windows, we found the perfect company to make our dream come true! We called Pacific Aire, who replaced our old A/C and heating unit with a new efficient A/C and heating system less than two years ago. We were so pleased with their professionalism and the quality of their products, that when we heard they partnered with a high-quality double-paned vinyl window company, we immediately called them to come over and give us an estimate. Once we agreed to have every window in our home replaced, they started on the project. The installation day came! The crew was highly professional, respectful, nice and friendly! Doug Saint was the manager/foreman, and he made sure that his crew -- Steve, Armando and Jake, did a perfect job! Since it was a big project, it took about 2-1/2 days. They were respectful of our home and did an absolutely amazing job! They meticulously installed, put the final touches, and cleaned up each day. We couldn't be happier! But that does not really capture the whole story. Doug, Steve, Armando and Jake were true craftsmen in every sense of the word. To say the work was flawless is an understatement. When confronted with obstacles and/or challenges with regard to previously installed items around our home, a lesser crew could have taken the easy way out by taking shortcuts, and left the aftermath for us to deal with. And technically, they still would have completed the job as promised. My new Furnace & AC were installed 2 years ago by Pacific Aire. Having been very satisfied with their work, I opted to do attic ductwork replacement, & replacement of fiberglass installation from the 1970's. I also chose to have Pacific Aire install a Radient Heat Barrier on the attic ceiling, to help reduce the attic temperature, & therefore the house temperature. I had an Air Scrubber installed too, which helps remove viruses like Covid. I look forward to breathing cleaner air. I was impressed that they vacuumed the attic of fiberglass, wood chips & old rodent droppings after the old insulation was removed. I want to commend all the workers who visited my home, for their courtesy, attention to detail, & their ability to explain each procedure &/or why they needed to do it. I received new vents throughout the house which look great & are more efficient. Particularly helpful was Vincent G., who was here two different days, working on the fiberglass installation removal, the new insulation installation, & the airtight seal, wherever there were gaps in the attic between different materials, & whatever needed caulking. He answered every question I had, & worked well with other employees. I like the practice of placing carpet protection each day, & removing it at the end of the day. The Pacific Aire flyer that arrived through the mail reminded my wife and I that our 20+ years air conditioning/heating unit was overdue for replacement. I decided to call and learn more about the company and what services they offer. I was greeted by Celia who was professional and courteous, and she answered all my questions. With that first impression I decided to make an appointment the next day to have a technician evaluate our system. Barbary Hitzig arrived promptly for the appointment. He was professional and very through in inspecting & evaluating our system. He suggested to replace the unit and the replacement of the ducting and insulation. Within two hours of evaluation and discussing the options for a replacement of the whole systems; and all paperwork signed, the work was scheduled to start the next day. The crew arrived the next morning to start the work. For two days Cody, Angel, Gustavo, Robert, Cruz, Ethan, & Tyler replaced the entire cooling/heating system and all the ducting. The next two days Daniel Ortiz and Blas removed all the attic insulation, cleaned and vacuumed the attic, and installed the new insulation. All of the work was completed on time. There were no surprises, just exceptional service. They kept me updated throughout the process. Let me first start out by saying that we had already purchased an air conditioner unit about 7 years ago, but recently, we turned it on and noticed droplets of water were appearing on the stairs. We shut it off and called a company (not this one), out for service. The guy showed up, stayed for about 20 minutes, told us it should be taken care of, charged us, and left. No sooner did he leave when it started leaking again. This company was a total waste of time, so we decided to try Pacific Aire. First, it was a very HOT day for Ventura and this very friendly man by the name of George showed up. He was in a uniform and I felt sorry for him already. George made it a point to explain to my husband exactly what was going on with our unit, and what he was going to do, and then he did it. I don't know how many times George walked from inside and outside the house and back up in the attic. He was literally here for at least two hours, and we were charged less than what the other company did, and he was here for 20 minutes, and it works perfectly now! My parents were the ones that referred them to us, as they recently had a complete heating and air conditioning unit put in. They were very happy with their work also. I'm not sure why anybody would bother looking elsewhere. I know I won't for any future needs I might have. Don't hesitate to use them!! read more

Pacific Aire called and reminded me that it was time for my HV/AC tune up They had a killer deal going on for $33 for each one or $59 for bundling both. Who can pass up a deal like that? I also asked them to check my water heater. And I got a reduced price of $59 on that as well. Fortunately, my technician, Brett Walker, did not find any major problems. I received a text with Brett's employee picture on it, notifying me that he was coming and at what time he would show up. He was knowledgeable and very efficient and put everything back in its proper place. When he was done, my deal even included a no cost heating unit filter which I appreciated. I'm a person who likes to know what kind of work is being done on my equipment, So I asked Brett the usual "20 questions". He had answers for everything, and he even showed me the cable camera, that was used to inspect the internal components of my heating unit, and advising that I did not have any cracks in my unit, which, if so, could be a culprit for causing carbon monoxide danger. I was so pleased with the GREAT customer service I received that I decided to sign up for the Pacific Aire Club program. At $16.95 a month, it is a good insurance policy to protect against costly repairs that eventually are req'd as your systems age. Thanks again.Brett Walker for doing a great job. read more

11/11/25-Review for Michael and Paris, Pacific Aire Technicians: Service Date: 11/11/25: Membership Service: Winter tune-up. The Technician was scheduled to arrive between 8:00am-10:00am. The technician Michael and Paris, his associate in training arrived at 8:30. Prior to entering my home, they put on their booties! Michael introduced himself and his associate, Paris who was in training then they promptly began their work. Unfortunately, Michael had to return to the office (fortunately, the office is near by) to obtain a new filter (one was not left). Michael, explained the situation and apologized for the inconvenience. I appreciated the apology and explanation though, I stated it was not a problem for I had scheduled my day to accommodate the appointment. Most importantly, Michael and Paris conducted themselves professionally from beginning to end. They valued my time. Michael also recommended to replace the scrubber unit. He explained why though, did not force the issue. I had the scrubber replaced. Lastly, and most importantly, Michael left the access to the attic "perfectly cleaned"! The attic access is in the hallway, very visible in a small home. Truly appreciate the extra effort! NOTE: This WAS NOT done in the past. I had to REQUEST IT. I have to say that I would like to give 5 stars but there were some hiccups. Our service tech Ryan was fantastic! He was the senior tech they sent out after our first service guy came to do the tune up and the system showed some issues. Ryan was very knowledgeable and courteous. The original tech who did the service was also courteous but was not able to do the fixing part of the drain clog and so we had to go 5 days without air in the 100* temps, which was inconvenient, because when the office called the day after the original service, I was unable to schedule for that day. They were supposed to call me two days later (on a friday) and did not. I finally had to call them back on Monday to schedule for the next day. They scheduled me for a two hour window, but on his schedule he had me for the following window. A little mismanagement in scheduling. But they fixed the issue, we are prepared for what is coming (with a very old system coming to an end in the future) and we will call it good. Honestly though, had it not been for Ryan coming to save the day and correct what was said on the initial service, and it was based on the tuneup results and the lack of schedule management, I may not be giving a 4 stars. We will stick with em, they are human, and they fixed their issues and ours. read more

I contacted Pacific Aire to evaluate my gas fired furnace. Brandon did an excellent and thorough job in determining the cause of the failure and in showing me the unit was in need of replacement. He also inspected the duct work. Following Brandon's analysis, Armando stayed and spent considerable time explaining our options to replace the unit. I chose to replace the unit with a heat pump system to provide both heating and cooling and Armando explained the importance of evaluating the existing ductwork and we chose to replace the 2nd floor ductwork. With Armando's assistance, I chose the most efficient heat pump and air handler system they offer. He also gave me every discount he could offer and gave me an additional start the next day discount. Two teams completed the work in three days. Omar and Miguel completed the ductwork in two days and Omar always kept me informed of the process and progress. Daniel and his team (Ethan, Daniel, and Tyler) completed the heat pump system installation in 3 days. Throughout the entire process all the team members were professional, courteous, friendly, and punctual. Everything was explained and progress updates were always provided and questions were welcome and answered. I highly recommend Pacific Aire if you need HVAC service. read more

I have been with Pacific Aire for many years and have had a service tech come out twice a year, once to inspect for the heat and once for the cool. They'll check the temperatures, filters and the gages. They'll tweak something if necessary. We have been advised for a little while that the ducts were on their way out and finally decided to have them replaced. The Comfort Advisor, Letti Anderson, arrived and we went over the situation. After walking around our home to see what needed to be done she presented just what needed to be done and its cost. Letti was professional and had the answer to all of my questions at hand. We set up a date and time for the work to be done. When the time came, the two techs were there and worked hard through the day. They brought the tarps to protect the floors and when they were done cleaned up anything that was there because of the work they did. I was not disappointed in the whole process. As I mentioned above, I have been a customer of Pacific Aire for a while now and just like the neighborhood grocery store or gas station as silly as it may sound a foundation has been established with this company and now Letti. read more

After reviewing my existing HVAC system, much of it original from the 1985 build, the team showed me photos of the attic ductwork, the aging furnace and the mercury-based thermostat (not to code!). The crew who were inspecting all of the elements were thorough, wore booties in my home, laid down protection for the floors and generally took care of my property. The install went pretty smoothly and the whole system was completed on a Friday, except for a few adjustments made the following week. David P., the electrician, came out to replace a part on the AC unit and to install an exterior outlet. Very personable and clearly an expert. The other aspect of PacificAire that I appreciated was that they sent out a handyman, Tyler D., to fix any damage and to paint the wall where the new, smaller thermostat was installed. Tyler did an epic job of repairing the damage to floor molding below the air return grate by the furnace, and also straightened the alignment of the grate to make it level with the floor. He has a good eye for color -- matched the outside stucco paint where a new, smaller circuit box left a blank spot the color of the previous condo paint job. read more

Had an issue with my furnace 2 days before Christmas. A quick call to Pacific Aire, and I had an appointment with a tech to stop by my house within the next 4 hours! Not only that, but the tech was available within an hour and before I knew it he was at my doorstep. George F. was my tech and he had me up and running within an hour. Not only that, but he took the time to explain what might have caused it and other maintenance tips. He also took the time to change my air filter and to help clean out the vent. When I first thought about having to call someone to come check out our furnace a few days before Christmas, I had a pretty dreadful experience pictured in my mind. George was an absolute professional, courteous, and an all around nice guy. He was extremely knowledgeable about heating/cooling systems, and was able to explain everything to me in layman terms. I wish all service technicians who did house calls were just like George! There is a $79 diagnostic fee for someone to come out to your place plus whatever the cost of any repairs that are required. Very reasonable given how quickly they were available. Highly recommended! read more

We got a new furnace and insulation from Pacific Aire. We had an old furnace. 20+years and minimal insulation. Our place is from the early 60's. They sent several teams to install the furnace and insulation. The first team was Daniel Ortiz and Johnnie Magallanes to install the furnace. Jose Hernandez and Agustin Gomez came to install the insulation. They came on a Saturday. On Wednesday an electrician named David Plunkett, and a tech named Omar G. came to adjust the thermostat. On Thursday the next day Tyler Downard their handyman came with Robert Ramirez another tech to finish up. Tyler is inventive and skilled at making tough situations come out perfect. Every one of the men were good at what they did. Polite and answered all our questions and we had quite a few questions. They cleaned up after themselves. It was a complicated installation as we needed to have access to ceiling made bigger in 2 places to get the insulation and furnace in. When they left, the house was better than before. I would recommend Pacific Aire for HVAC needs. They were happy with their jobs and work obviously liked their company too. read more

After recently having had new insulation blown into my attic, it seemed that my forced air furnace, located in a hallway cupboard, had not turned on for a few days. When I opened the door of the cupboard, I found a great deal of fiberglass insulation that had dropped from the opening above the furnace that opens into the attic, causing the pilot light to be extinguished. After turning off the gas, i placed a call to PacificAire and told them the problem. They sent out Matt, a very capable young man, who not only vacuumed up all the insulation involved, but even went into the attic to remove loose insulation around the opening into the cupboard to help prevent the difficulty from happening again. He successfully lighted my furnace and showed me a product that helps purify the air in my home. He also advised me to get in touch with the insulation company with email pictures he later sent so I would be able to show them in order to seek some kind of cover for the top of the cupboard which would prevent further contamination. I was quite pleased by his work and wanted to give him recognition with my review. read more

I have had ups and downs with Pacific Aire over the past 3 years as a customer. Not to fault the level of service of Pacific Aire which has been excellent. This review is on 2 recent experiences with Pacific Aire. I had recent service for a faulty part on our unit and Brian S was our technician. He was very thorough and explained things in layman's terms. He was very knowledgeable and made sure the repairs were successful. I could tell Brian was very experienced and was very good at his job. He was clear on how long it would take to complete the service and was very professional. Just the other day, we had Zaca come out for our routine maintenance. He has a great personality and is very knowledgeable. He arrived on time, explained what he was going to do, and was quick and efficient. It was a pleasure speaking with him about the work he was doing, his past experiences and about housing in general as he was quite versed in knowledgeable in a number of different aspects of home improvements. But, I timed the visit, and it was a few minutes under an hour, and that included everything; the estimate and repair labor. The bill was $ 758.00 for that hour. I talked to the repairman about the cost of parts versus labor and he said they were not separated out. I talked to the business owner later on. He said that of the $758, the parts were about $80....although I found Amazon is cheaper. He did go through his costs with me, stating they were part of the job, but most had nothing to do with the repair but rather, costs of running a large corporation ......costs such as .....employee benefits ......travel time to and from the job ......office management ......payments on his fleet of trucks, my guess ......profit for the owner that the worker never receives. On the other hand, the costs of a self-employed serviceman would be parts and labor only, in his bill, usually $50-$100 an hour plus parts. So, bottom line, it was a simple job with cheap parts which I accepted ....trusting that it would require more time and cost than it actually did. My bad, I should have gotten another estimate, which means a second cost for a second estimate, but in this case I should have paid it. SINCE I KNEW THE REPAIR THAT WAS NEEDED, I SHOULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO BARGAIN A BIT LOWER WITH SUBSEQUENT CONTRACTORS... SOMETHING I WILL REMEMBER IN MY FUTURE CONTRACTED JOBS. My view, everything was legal, but the service of a large air conditioning company should be noticeably cheaper or else it offers no benefit to offset the cost. I saw no such benefit. Instead of jumping straight to pushing an expensive condenser replacement, the technician diagnosed the issue and suggested we try replacing a smaller part first. He was super clear with me: if the part worked, we were good to go; if it didn't, then we'd look at replacing the condenser. Well, the part replacement worked like a charm! I really appreciate a company that is willing to try to fix the small thing first to save you money rather than taking the easy way out and pushing a massive, expensive repair. Honest, transparent, and skilled--I will definitely be using Igloo for all my future HVAC needs!

I had a 2 1/8 year old Coleman furnace literally 2 months out of warranty installed in a…read moremanufactured home. It was not blowing hot air. It seemed to work but no heat. I asked them to look at it for their $127.50 diagnostic fee. After he went. He left me 5 increasingly distasteful messages including not knowing what was wrong but wanted an additional $800 to replace something that ended up not needing to be replaced. He also wants payment right away. I paid him after work on the second day, he wouldn't allow me time to look at the furnace for myself, in order to make a determination on how to proceed. So I declined any additional work. Since it wasn't fixed and he wasn't at all helpful, I ended up finding the fix this myself by finding and cleaning out a clogged gas feed tube with compressed air. It was good as new. This dude is pushy, rude, and seems to want to guess and check parts at my expense. No thanks. There's better options out there I'm sure. ***In response to the business owner's. We found the obstruction on my next available day off of work. It would have been nice if you could have fixed and/or mentioned that to me. The only mention was of the gas valve at a cost of $800. I said I would find someone else, as this was not my intention to fix this since we had already tried. We got lucky. I would have gladly paid more than your diagnostic fee if you had the ability to fix it. Yelp reviews can be fakes now. Just because I made this a few months ago and didn't report it doesn't mean a single word in my statement is false. Buyer beware.
