I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I have to say I was skeptical based on the reviews, but given the new ownership and more positive reviews lately, decided to finally give it a chance. You really can't judge a book by its cover. The inside is really cute and cozy. Not too many people when I went since it was a Monday around 10am. Just ordered an apple chausson (spelling? it's basically a French apple turnover) and a latte with an extra shot. I was still hesitant at the point of ordering because the guy behind the counter seemed a bit flustered making a couple drinks and it took almost 10 minutes to get mine. But, I am patient for good coffee, and it was great! I also recognize that this is a small business, not a Starbucks, so things operate differently. Had to check myself a little, lol. The coffee was actually so good that I didn't even need to put sugar in it and I normally always do. I am a true coffee lover and the flavor of this coffee was bold, smooth, just the right hit of acidity...not bitter at all. You can tell the beans are quality and roasted/ground fresh. The beans are clearly respected. Gotta give five stars just based on that. Staff are reserved but very pleasant. Also, the pastry was amazing flavor-wise but I think they warmed it up in the microwave as it was heated within 20 seconds and I heard the whirring/beeping of what sounded like a microwave, though she heated it in the back so I couldn't see. Unfortunately this makes a delicate pastry become soggy and the filling gets scalding hot. It would be nice if the shop could invest in a proper toaster oven similar to other cafes in order to heat pastries in a more appetizing way. Just a suggestion, but not a huge deal. Such a cozy coffee shop! The decor and space itself is really welcoming, and there's quite a bit of room to sit and hangout. The staff were super friendly. I tried an iced vanilla latte, which was pretty good -- could've maybe used a little more of the flavor. That egg salad croissant was BOMB. It had no business being that delicious. Very simple, not overwhelming but it had cucumbers, onions and possibly some horseradish or other spice adding a tiny kick. I was looking for a refreshing drink on a hot day and I opted for their Botanicl Energy drinks. I got the "Drift" which is cucumber lemon flavored with the guru energy drink base (100mg caffeine). It was ALSO delicious. A sweet treat but not to sweet. It also didn't have an artificial sweetener aftertaste either. I'm very happy with my visit :) Bathrooms, parking, temperature controlled, natural lighting. Not to mention I didn't even get to try the diedrich coffee as I'm not a huge coffee person. Gave it a try based on TT videos. Save yourself some money and skip this one. We ordered a few drinks recommended on social media. Banana bread latte was on their seasonal menu. It was not it. I ordered it iced. It's Torani syrup, not the real thing. The barista had to read the menu board to figure out what was in the drink. It was watery and such a huge disappointment. Then at check out I was overcharged. Didn't go back in to say anything. I knew I wasn't ever going back so took it as part of the loss of money and a drink. Second drink was a London Fog latte. This is my go to drink. Order it everywhere I can. This I think was a poorly steeped tea bag, I don't actually know. It was so weak and I think he just poured in some milk. Not at all a latte. I didn't take pics of any of the drinks unfortunately. Third drink was matcha. Laughable. Save your money. Maybe this is the place to go if you just want a plain ol cup of coffee. Save your money. $25 ish for 3 drinks and not a single one hit. TT had it wrong with this one. That is a bold accusation and assumption that we are the same individual based solely on we didn't enjoy our drinks. This is a DISGUSTING and IRRESPONSIBLE response from a business owner. The gentleman behind the order was not familiar with the drink and its ingredients. The back of the coffee bar is well stocked with Torani syrup. We did in fact watch him pour from the bottle into the bottom of my to go cup. If you say that's not the case, that is fine. As you may have not been there that day, while he was making my drink, I can confirm it was not a homemade banana syrup and it was Torani syrup. If you generally make it with a homemade syrup then perhaps this morning it was made incorrectly which explains his need to look at your drink menu for the ingredients. It's fine. It was my experience that day and it's ok. As for the matcha, I'm glad you use ceremonial matcha. As you should. Again, perhaps the barista's matcha ratio to milk was not made to your shops standards. It was very light green so it was very milk forward. It's ok. I ordered it, didn't like it. It's fine. i paid, took a sip, didn't like it and left. I didn't ask for the drinks to be re-made, there's no point. You had a couple customers in line. No need for our reorder to hold them up or cause any delay. 3 out of 3 drinks ordered were not our favorite. It's how you prepare your drinks. They weren't for us. We walked out and agreed they were not worth the $. You'll get great reviews and some reviews you won't like. It's all a part of being a business owner. Aesthetic, spacious, and cozy café! Stopped by with my uncle while running errands as he recommended this place and usually comes here to get some work done. I loved the abundance of seating and the greenery incorporated throughout the space, which made the cafe feel relaxing. Ordered their matcha latte and unfortunately was not a fan. It tasted more like sweetened milk, with very little of the earthy, slightly bitter flavor that I typically associate with matcha. I was especially looking forward to trying it since several other Yelpers had spoken highly of their matcha drinks, so it was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure if it was the type of matcha used or the ratio, but it may simply come down to personal preference since matcha doesn't seem to be their main specialty. Service was great. Right across from Kaiser hospital. Great little spot, not fussy, chill vibes, friendly service. I popped over one day to get a bite while I was waiting for someone who was at the medical clinic. Got a protein smoothie for my mom. Avacado, peanut butter, banana, chia, really tasty! I intended to just grab something to go but, I knew her appointment was going to take a while. I ordered my fave bagel sandwich, smoked salmon, cucumber, tomato, cream cheese, red onion. The bagel was lightly toasted just the way I prefer (not too crunchy). Great coffee spot to hang out while waiting for my nanny kid to finish jujitsu, or whenever. I had bookmarked Pacific Bay Coffee as recommended by yelper Harvey K when I moved to WC in 2020. I've had Thai iced tea and taro milk tea, both of which I could taste their respective flavors. Sometimes Thai tea in particular can taste watered down and lack the tea flavor but that's not the case for PBCC's version! The woman at the front (not sure if she's the owner?) is very nice and efficient. She seems to manage multiple orders without too long of a wait. Maybe mornings are busier but I don't think I waited more than 5 mins when I was there ~3:15pm. Prices ~$5-6, which is reasonable. Cash and card accepted. Though I don't live close enough to be a regular, I'd gladly come back if in the area and encourage my WC friends to support this wonderful independently owned coffee shop! read more

Been driving around this pacific bay coffee place and finally we are able to stop by since we are in the area. It's a midsize store big enough for a few tables where you can hangout, do some homework, meet with friends etc. music is just right for you to keep a private conversation. To walk into this store and find a friendly smile and a welcome is just priceless. We order Vietnamese coffee, "always heard it is very sweet and normally is use regular milk and condense milk" well, I asked if I could make some modifications and they were happy to help me, Vietnamese shots, condense milk and almond milk hot beverage OMG...just a touch of sweetness, dark roast coffee shots in the mix with almond milk just made right!!!. Rose bloom latte, normally the rose syrup tend to be overpowering but this drink was made just right, no sweet no overpowering no after taste and yo still taking the coffee shots. I got espresso. Tried single origin and their house blend Single Origin (Guatemala): 3.5/5 Bright, citrus-forward, probably orange. Light body, high acidity, no bitterness. Not much crema, but clean and well-executed. Just wanted a little more depth or mouthfeel. House Blend: 3/5 A touch bitter for my taste. Slight fruitiness--maybe plum--and dark chocolate notes underneath. Crema was nice, aroma was promising, but the bitterness held it back slightly. Note: I don't usually mention service, but they deserve a nod. I came in near closing, and they were thoughtful about pacing the shots and made no fuss about dine-in. Appreciated. read more

I got a vietnamese coffee from here and they literally filled it up halfway. Like they couldn't even fill the rest with milk or anything. It's like getting food at a restaurant and they only give you half a plate of food. My friend and I were so shocked we just started laughing. But it's not even funny. I actually took 1 sip from it and threw it away outside of the restaurant because not only was it less than half full, it tasted bad. Response to P.S.: You can ask your own employee how much she filled my cup! It was served to me like that - there is no motive for me to lie. Accusing an unsatisfied customer who received a half-filled drink isn't very good service at all! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and as a business, you have to be open to criticism. I really like this cafe for many reasons but near the top of the list is that the music is never too loud. It's in the background, mellow and relaxed, perfectly complementing the warm vibe and the really friendly staff. I wish more cafes and restaurants were as good about not putting the volume up an off putting level, but i am grateful that PBCC does not. read more
