I was meeting a couple of people for a business lunch, and one of them suggested Pacific Boil. I had never been before, but I'm always down to try something new. After reading some of the reviews, I went in with mixed expectations. While the restaurant is a little tired around the edges, it's nowhere near as bad as some reviews make it out to be. The waitstaff was wonderful--super attentive, polite, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. I ordered the fish and chips. As a girl from Alaska, I'm always hesitant to order cod fish and chips. The fish was a little tough in my opinion, but the chips were fantastic and easily the best part of the meal. I also ordered a side of coleslaw, which was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. My two dining partners ordered the shrimp basket and the oyster basket. The shrimp basket looked terrific, and it's definitely what I would order on a future visit. Both of them raved about their meals. I will say the portions are very generous Overall, this feels like a bit of a hidden gem. It may not be fancy, but the service was excellent and there are some solid menu items worth coming back for. Well took the family out for Valentine's Day dinner at this establishment. We all ordered the same off the menu loberster boil.It was delivered in a bowl with there home made sauce. We were a little disappointed because the sausage appeared to be soggy. Yes they were packed. Since it is a lounge seating was cramped. It was loud and out waitress was not as attentive as we would like. The serving of the lobster was small and only one with way more shrimp than crab. Not very impressed with the portion size. Ambiance is old dark bar. When we came in it looked deserted, except the bar area and some older local patrons were doing karaoke. My expectations weren't high. I want to give it a 4.5 but yelp won't allow me. We ordered the combo #1, the service was very good, food was great, the corn was absolute garbage but everything else was cooked well. There was only one server on a Sat evening but they did a great job. It's a lounge with only a liquor menu, no mixed drinks menu, very odd. Although the place is decorated with corny decorations, I'm willing to look past it, and will be returning. Thought I'd give it a try since I love the Galfer's fish & chips. Only had one server that played bar tender too. So, service was all but not existent. Had to get my own menu. Restrooms completely destroyed my appetite. Place is just old and run down to the ground. I wouldn't trust the food, so I left. read more

We ordered Pacific Boil on Saturday night and were deeply disappointed. The food was delivered just fine, but the food was less than underwhelming. The clam chowder was thin and flavorless, it also was shy on the potatoes and clams. The fried fish and shrimp had thick breading that had no seasoning, it also tasted oily. The best tasting items were the Cajun fries (which were normal tasting fries, but almost entirely unlike Cajun); and my shrimp cocktail, which had perfectly done shrimp and a very good sauce. Came to eat on January 2nd 2026. The staff were friendly, and the food was good. But towards the end of our meal, we spotted a rat near us (see video attached). My friend and I screamed, but no one came to check on us. When they finally did, we informed our server about the rat, and they handed us the bill. We were pretty spooked at that point and were processing what we had just witnessed. They did comp our meal, but having a rodent in the dining area is a serious health violation. I am writing this on the day we ate there, so I'm not sure if we will get food poisoning. read more

Brought friends here for seafood and they all enjoyed their food. I have now had the boil several times, and the lobster roll and fries several times and they're all good. Today we had an oyster special. The medium spice is enough for me but they also have spicy and extra spicy. They were open on Xmas so we walked a couple miles to watch MNF and eat. Mac & cheese was just ok but that is compared to everything else. Fave is still the lobster roll and fries. The roll is so good and the lobster perfectly cooked and seasoned. Fries are excellent. I've also had the boil with clams and mussels and it's been excellent too. Highly recommend this spot for people who like a good seafood boil or Boston style lobster roll. We've gotten carry out from PB&L 6-8 times and it's always been a really good meal. We told our friends they needed to try them out. Sadly, we will not be returning. We got carryout again this evening and we opened the containers to put the jojos in the oven.....and I was grossed out by my meal. I hiked it down to PB&L and even the young server seemed to have a hard time identifying my meal. Now...instead of offering to remake my meal, the person who I assume is the owner came storming out of the kitchen telling me that everyone loves his catfish. His catfish is very good. I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time considering I am in Tigard about every two weeks, sometimes more often. I have a few favorite restaurants in Tigard I like to pop in for lunch - but I think this is my new favorite since lobster rolls are still not as popular in Oregon yet and I'm always in the lobster mood. Today was my second time coming in for lunch, the server recognized me right away and remembered what I ordered my first visit (two weeks ago!). I loved what I had the first visit so I stuck with it, their lobster rolls are giant actually stuffed with lobster not just all bread like some of the places in Portland. The fries that come with the roll are great as well, well seasoned and I love the shape. The lobster roll comes with fries & two dipping sauces for about $19, based off the size of the lobster roll and how much lobster they stuff it with - it is well priced (maybe under priced actually). I can only eat half the roll and bring the other half back home. Grab their lemon poppyseed cheesecake as well it is amazing They have so much on their menu I want to explore! Lobster garlic noodles, lobster mac, crab boils etc. yum yum yum. So here's the thing: this place is a real dive of a restaurant. The service tries but is a bit on the sketchy side, the interior looks like it's been the same since the early 60s and not necessarily well-maintained, but the food (if what you want is seafood) is good, plentiful, and downright affordable. The steamed clams might've been the best I've ever had. The shellfish was decent quality shellfish at a really good price. I can't complain at all. For a few years my family and I have enjoyed the take out service and quality of food from this restaurant UNTIL my most recent experience last month. Unfortunately, Pacific Boil's seafood was the meal of choice for a family member's birthday. Everything was ready to pick up on time, and we headed home to enjoy. We do not live far from the restaurant, but nearly 40 minutes later, the remaining food had to be re-heated. Chowder had spilled into other items ordered due to inferior packaging. Additionally, our entire order was stuffed into a very cheap plastic bag, contributing to the mishap. Also got the garlic bread, garlic noodles with shrimp add on, Mac and cheese with lobster add on, and clam chowder. Everything was amazing! It's not cheap but hey it is a lobster roll. Lots of big chunks of meat and a dressing that only does enough to support the lobster. We went to Joan's Fabric and we were looking for lunch, and we turned around in the parking lot where we parked our car, and there it was: Pacific Boil, and my husband recommends he order while I shop. We were browsing through restaurants and noticed this new local place just opened. We love cajun food and there aren't a whole lot of places nearby like this. We ordered online and drove there. The place used to be a bar so it has all the essence of bar vibe. There is signs for 6 foot distancing and the seating area is taped off. The staff are all wearing masks and there's hand sanitizer available. We ordered the lobster roll with cajun fries, 2 soft shell crab appetizer, and crawfish with garlic butter and old bay with extra corn at the spicy level (level 3 spicy out of 4). We got it for takeout and got home and everything was still crispy and warm. Overall everything was very good. Lobster Roll and Cajun Fries: compared to other places we've been, the amount of lobster seemed lacking. That being said, the bread was buttery and it still had a very good flavor; it came with melted butter and an aioli which was very good when dipping the roll into. The fries varied in texture, but many of the fries were so thin it was like chips. Soft shell crab appetizer: was easily our favorite thing. The crab was still crispy and the insides soft and moist with flavor. It was seasoned well and tasted good on its own, but even better dipped in the aioli and/or garlic butter. Highly recommended getting 1 or 2 orders of this. Crawfish with corn spicy level: the crawfish was coated in delicious sauce so we slurped the shells each time. The meat was still pretty tender so it wasn't overdone. For anyone big on spice like us, we would recommend getting the max spicy (very spicy) and maybe even asking for extra if possible. We got the spicy level and it didn't have anywhere near enough spice. The corn was yummy in the garlic butter/old bay sauce but as usual with this style restaurant, $2 for a few pieces of corn seems steep. I would say this place is worth the visit and they have many other seafood options we wanna try next time. I went with 4 stars mainly due to the inconsistency with the fries, the spiciness being inadequate (although still tasty), and the roll could've been more loaded for $16. read more

I visit this restaurant a lot and have tried pretty much everything on their menu. The quality of the food is great. I can't possibly review each item, so here are some highlights: Sauce - I only like the house sauce, which is pretty amazing. The others are a little blend for my taste. Snow crab legs - I love them, but the sizes are pretty inconsistent. I have gotten huge clusters where I wonder if they are king crabs in disguise. But sometimes they are small and skinny. I guess it makes more sense to sell them by pounds, instead of clusters. Clams and mussels - always love them. Always tasted fresh. Jumbo squid - my new favorite. Probably the last thing I tried on the menu. I have always thought they'd be chewy. Nope - very tender. Lobster tails - probably the only thing I didn't like. They were pretty small and a tad over cooked. Chicken wings - flavors are good. But 6 wings for $11 is a little steep... Fried seafood baskets - shrimp, oysters, and calamari are great. Breading and seasoning are all on point. Fries are inconsistent. Actually they have always been amazing except the last time, where they were cut into wedges and undercooked. My first-time trying seafood boil and it was pretty good. This restaurant has two sitting areas - one on their restaurant side and the other on their lounge side. We were seated in the lounge side, but I would have preferred sitting on the restaurant side since the lounge side was more of a bar and didn't feel like a restaurant for seafood boils. Our waitress was super friendly and helped us figure out what to order. We decided to build our own seafood boil with shrimp, clams and mussels. Spice level was spicy (they had 4 that you could pick from: Mild, Medium, Spicy and Extra Spicy). We choose the House sauce (5 sauces to pick from: Garlic Butter, Old Bay, Parmesan Garlic, Lemon Pepper, House). Added corn and sausages in as our sides. You get a lot of food for the amount that you pay. They also provide the bucket for scraps, gloves and a bib. The sauce was delicious but it didnt mix into the shrimp, clams or mussels well. We dipped the shrimp back into the sauce after we peeled it and use the clam shells to scoop some sauce before taking a bite of the clam. The sausage tasted the best out of the items that we got. The sauce steeped in making it burst with flavor. The garlic noodles were good but a little bit on the oily side. Overall - Good experience but not the best. I think this place is worth a re-visit, but I will order different items for the boil (anything that will soak the sauce in well). read more
