That is the only downside to this place. They have some colorful paint on the wall that was nice. When you come in, you order your food and then go sit down and they will bring it to you. We ended up ordering their 8 piece cod because it's cheaper than ordering 2 four pieces. She was nice enough to separate it for us without us asking. The food came out quick and it was not overly greasy. The cod had a nice batter and had a fresh clean taste. It was still moist and flaky. They were great sized also. As for the fries they came out hot and crisp. Some of the best fries I've had in a long time. The coleslaw was lacking flavor and depth but not a big deal. Another co-worker was helpful in helping us to get seated and bringing out food/drinks. Wonderful service, thank you! Third, the food was AMAZING! As Google+ will attest, with their over 100 5.0 star reviews, this is really good fish and chips! The cod is amazingly fresh and has that almost nutty flavor that fresh off the boat and line caught fish can have. The batter is crisp and not oily at all, which is an accomplishment in and of itself, as many of our most popular f&c carts might deliver wonderful fish in a crispy crust, but absolutely LOADED with oily oily OIL after being twice-fried. The tots, which used to be at the olympics-level of interest here in PDX, are really great too! I would rate this right up there with Horsebrass, but it's less expensive and I"m downtown much more than I am at middle SE Belmont.
