It was conveniently located near our hotel and my vegan friend suggested it even though it was her first time at a poke spot! The standout for me was definitely the hand roll. It was fresh and really satisfying. If I came back, I'd honestly be tempted to just one or two handrolls. The poke bowl, on the other hand, was a bit underwhelming. The flavors didn't come together the way I had hoped, and it didn't quite hit that fresh, vibrant poke experience I have grown to love. I tried pacific bowl and rolls for the first time back in maybe 2020. I've always been a fan, good portions for the price. Flavor, good. They move locations, I think last year, and idk if that means new ownership or what but I just ordered from them after about 6 months and woah they have changed, the portions are very small compared to what it used to be and the sauces I requested were drizzled so light I almost didn't notice them. I've been to a lot of poke restaurants and this is by far the worst I've ever experienced. The amount of fish is abysmal and they don't follow requests. We ordered delivery and this photo is how the meal showed up. Only ordered tuna, krab and 3x masago. It is FULL of onions ...and it looks like someone ate out of it. It was just ok. At first it was super weird because it was our first time and we hear a voice telling us to order on the screen but don't see anyone. I was like "what?" So I am looking for a live person but none was found. It was so weird. We ordered on the computer screen and then waited. Not your typical cafeteria style Poké bowl. A wooden room divider is between you and the food being made and the person doing it. You order from a kiosk. Ok I guess Food was ok. Lacking flavors and enough sauce for the whole bowl. But what's worse is the menu on their website says $12 starting price plus $2 ADDITIONAL scoop but really it's a $2 add in per protein so 2 scoops cost $16. Ok but then the topper is tax AND a fee. All because they use a third party processor with no choice for cash. So tax and fees is 14.2%. What a rip. And it asks for a tip before you ever see your food. Won't be back. I've wanted to try this poke spot in downtown Monterey for a while! I saw they were on the app tgtg ( Too good to go) and was excited to see surprise mystery bowls. The mission of the app is to reduce food waste so it offers food The pickup was quick and customer service was very nice! My bowl was definitely smaller than their average bowl. Definitely not equivalent to the 24.99$ price they listed it as originally being but worth the 7.99$. It contained a serving of tuna, crab salad, brown rice, cucumbers, cilantro and a sauce on top. It tastes great and was perfect as a small single serving. I would definitely recommend getting it again with the expectation that it's smaller and it's end of the day food. read more

I'm so glad I found this place in Monterey! We were looking for Poke and this place happened to be so close where we needed to be. We also found parking really close by so everything was super smooth and convenient for us. We were impressed with the quality of fish and the amount of food we got. We got a large for around $20 and my boyfriend and I shared. I thought it was pretty good value since we were both full by the end of the meal, and seeing how good the prices were, i highly recommend getting a size larger and taking the rest home if you're eating a bowl by yourself. So far the best tofu poke I've had in Monterey! The tofu are cut in smaller cubes and marinated. The spicy ponzu sauce is so good as well (thanks to the lady who took my order! The reason I give three starts is for cleanliness. You walk into the restaurant, and it smells really bad. It's a really weird stench. The floors don't look cleaned, so it just gives you a bad idea of how the food is maintained. I think it's especially important at a Poké bowl places to have a clean restaurant because you're serving raw foods. Also the girl working over the counter was half paying attention, she had her AirPods in, and so I'd be telling her which toppings and she didn't get it or hear me. The Poke bowl was good, there could've been more selections for protein. They don't have scallops or octopus or shrimp... Which I guess is an extra type of protein so no big deal. read more
