Stopped by Poke House while shopping at the mall, and it ended up being a perfect quick meal. The fish was really fresh, and all the ingredients tasted clean and high quality. Portions were solid and they don't cheap out on toppings. There's a small (2 toppings), medium (3 toppings) and large (5 toppings) size options based on how much fish you'd like. Their base has a zucchini noodles aside from rice and salad, really tasty. Super convenient location in the shopping center, easy in and out, and the place is kept nice and clean. While the poke bowl was delicious (highly recommend the garlic tuna), my partner made it clear he had a sesame allergy and triple checked with the employee that their onigiri had no sesame. After being assured that the onigiri had no sesame, we ordered one for him. After taking a huge bite, we found it had tons of sesame seeds in it. He is thankfully okay and we caught it before he had too much. I hope this does not happen to anyone else, especially if they have a more severely allergy. My poke bowl was missing crab salad, protein scoops, unagi sauce and masago I know the crab salad and masago are free but they're two of the things that really make it one of my favorite foods. We were actually looking for sushi around this mall, but we saw this Poke spot instead and decided to try it out. It's very clean inside and the 2 workers were very friendly and informative. I wanted to try something different, so I opted for their Charred Salmon Hot Bowl. The portion was just right, but of course I would've liked more haha. I liked watching them actually torch the fresh salmon to give that nice char taste and look. There's lots of mix in if you would like to create your own. This place is definitely better than the last poke chain I went to. If you're in the adel Monte Center and feel like Poke, I recommend this spot. read more

Not my favorite poke place to go to. I've been twice because sometimes I feel like a place may have an off night but after my second time there are definitely other places I prefer. The flavors I experience were very bland and I am a poke/ poke bowl lover. I usually know how to manipulate a bowl to my liking because essentially it's sushi but in a bowl. The fish was fresh so I will give them that and crab meat was ok. I think it could use some more mayo. I'd go back if I needed it in a pinch. These guys put on a stunning display of half-assery today. We arrive at 7PM, one member of our party gets their order and then the attendant explains that they've run out of rice. We ask how long more rice will take and are assured it'll be about 20 minutes. So we wait. 20 minutes passes and we ask again how long it may be and they say 15 more minutes. Several customers arrive but leave when they're told the business is out of rice. And 45 minutes later, a full hour after they ran out, they've finally got the base ingredient on which all the rest of their food is made. They don't immediately offer the 3 groups of long suffering customers a discount. Instead, they mumble an apology and move on. We get our 3 poke bowls and when I ask what discount they're offering for making us wait, the woman offers 10%. It seems cheap but I accept. We sit down to eat and discover that the rice is undercooked and is still a bit crunchy. And a review of the receipt shows that we weren't given a 10% discount, we were given a 5% discount. A trip to the restroom reveals that they're also out of toilet paper. The fact that a single party could endure this many issues proves that the employees just don't give a damn and that the management is clueless. If you want your customers to ever make a second visit you have to make them happy. If instead, they leave convinced that they've been punked, then there'll be one less local poke place in the not too distant future. read more

BEST POKE IVE EVER HAD I can't believe what I just got from uber eats, I'm drooling, this is so fresh, so quality so incredibly good it's insane, this is what food should taste like, feels like nourishment for the body and soul. This could easily be my part of the meal I'd ask for as my last meal. Or even dining outside, since there were a few tables available for the customer's use just out the door of this poke place. We just came from a 3 day vacation break at Pismo Beach and were headed for the second part of our vacation at Portola Hotel for a couple of days, when we decided to pass by the Del Monte Shopping Center at Monterey for lunch. Two staff members were present to take care of a growing line of customers. This is a response to the restaurant's response. The way Too Good To Go (TGTG) works is I go to your establishment (which I did), show the order to your staff (which I did), and receive a bag of food (with your restaurant's logo on the bag, and your franchise's familiar bowl) so what you tell me is a very concerning response. You should investigate your employees then if this is the case. I'm happy TGTG refunded me and gave a prompt response. There are some restaurants known to not honor TGTG's system, as it appeared to me from your business. Now I am more confused, more concerned. I picked it up from one of your staff members within your restaurant, and I agree: I could not find anything resembling it on your menu (besides the rice). This now confirms my confusion and a reasonable (although scary) explanation might mean one of your employees switched food from elsewhere beyond your store. Who gave me this food was specifically a white guy who looks on the younger side of 30, but anyone could have packed it. My original review was either the day of or the day after that night. You should work with TGTG to investigate more, as they have already promptly responded and refunded me. I sent them all the proof and moved on. You, however, apparently (based on the response date) just saw this review. Time has passed, so I don't know if you can monitor cameras to see how this happened, but I definitely did not confuse locations, and this is NOT TGTG's fault. TLDR Initially, I was very confused by this business, and now am much more concerned. This is now a food safety issue, as the store response suggests. Not just a restaurant being skimpy but an employee? Or perhaps both? I don't know but I offer to you to work on your staff and with TGTG. Pretty good spot for poke! The inside houses a few tables but you can always take poke to-go. We dined in and the place was clean for the most part but the tables were not. No biggie.
