I'm going to keep this semi-short and sweet. I investigated a half-dozen termite exterminators, had three come out for estimates, and finally went with Pacific Coast Termite, even though their price was higher than the other estimates. Why did I opt to pay more? First off, the Yelp reviews. Check them out yourself. Pacific Coast has an ton of glowing five-star reviews --as well as a smattering of one-star ratings that involved issues that seem petty or didn't apply to me. And what was my issue? We have lived in this two-story, 2,300-square-foot home for 27 years and have never had an exterminator darken its doors. That's because my Dad always told me ALL houses have termites. OK. That's my very weak justification for putting off the work. But signs of these pests kept showing up and the inspections verified that we had a ton of non-paying tenants in our attic and lining our home's fascias, rafters, shiplap, trims and two exterior doors. Blake Wilson came out from Pacific Coast Termite to inspect our home and he was friendly, non-aggressive, informative and knowledgeable. Nice guy. I certainly would have introduced him to my daughter, but she's already married. Blake told me that a lot of termite companies hire out for the wood repair, and even sub out for the extermination work. That sounded to me like it would make it pretty difficult to find someone to blame if problems arose. So after some successful -- and amiable negotiations -- I signed on, confident the job would be done right. And indeed, the job took a three-man work crew of full-time Pacific Coast employees eight days to complete, including a day where two Pacific Coast termite technicians (also on the company payroll) injected powerful stuff into the attic beams and elsewhere around the house. Told you it was a big job. The same crew showed at 8 a.m. each day, with no excuses, no hangovers, no drama. They did their work efficiently, cleaned up at the end of each day, and probably used enough lumber to vacate a national park. Did I mention it was a big job? So kudos to Dino, David and Ruben on hammers and saws, and Vincent and Art on the fumigation equipment. Also thanks to chief honcho, Santos. If I were looking for a termite "hit" that requires no tenting, moving out, boarding animals, moving plants, rewashing dishes and laundry, I'd go with Pacific Coast for its unobtrusive but effective methods. No only do we have peace of mind, but we have a warranty that offers two full years of serenity. The ghost busters come and spray orange oil without us leaving our home. It's none toxic chemicals The person that comes over, the name Chad, is a very professional and thorough inspection of the whole house. It's the same person that comes every year.I'm amazed that he goes up in the attic and goes down to the crawl space to check out the foundation. This year was tough for me to pay the maintenance because of the world pandemic. I lost my job, want to have some money left to buy presents for my grandchildren. I recently used their service to treat dry wood and subterranean termite problems in my house. And the end result? I am very happy! The inspector who came out was very professional and I appreciated the fact that he was very informative and readily answered any questions I had about the treatment. PCT is the largest orange oil treatment company out there and I was able to satisfy myself that they really knew what they were doing. One of my worst customer service experiences ever! I was a returning customer of Pacific Coast Termite in Tustin. I had their inspector come out for an inspection in April 2021. While he completed a lengthy inspection, he did not take any pictures of his findings to show me where the issues were. A day later I received an email from the company with a written list of work to be done and the pricing. I noted a numbers of errors on the proposal, and I had some follow up questions to ask before I agreed to the contract...which I intended to do. I wrote an email to Crystal, the Customer Service person who had sent me the email, and I asked her to give me a call to discuss and clarify the proposal. She responded by email stating she would call. After a day went by, I emailed Crystal again asking for a return phone call, and she again stated she would call the next day. I still did not receive a return call so I emailed for a third time asking for a call. Crystal responded rudely by now saying that she referred my request to the owner and I would have to talk to him/her, without even providing the person's name or contact information. I emailed her back saying I would await a call from the owner, which of course I never received. I would not recommend doing business with a company that treats its return customers so poorly. read more

We moved into a house that we knew had termite issues, but we put off dealing with them until we recovered from the expense of the move. We were drawn to the use of the more natural solution (we have several pets), but worried that it wouldn't be as effective as the tent/poison Nuclear Option. Two years later, we are relaxed and grateful. No issues, except for a month or so after the initial application we found a small site in a post that hadn't been treated. They came right out, and no sawdust or swarms since. Tomorrow we get our annual inspection on the extended warranty. Well worth the cost. read more

PCT sent Roberto and Freddie to rid my ceiling of termites. They did a great job. Very polite, thorough, and professional. Once termites move into a house, they can be difficult to detect and impossible to fully eliminate. Fumigation is only a temporary measure. The only way to eliminate them for good is to burn your house down. Basically, they're part of the infastructure. We never really got to do business. They kept changing the inspection appointment to suit their changing schedules. Three separate times this happened. That's not that big a deal. But Jim and Blake were always very insistent on the phone. They did not listen to me when talking and kept on pushing their agenda, strongly. If I ever had a problem they were there very quick you don't have to wait very long for an appointment also their technicians are very respectful, helpful, and well kept. We would not recommend Pacific Coast Termite. I was told our attic would be vacuumed (it was not) and our bathroom window frame was destroyed (see pictures). I had two follow up appointments regarding these issues - one for the window frame and one for the attic. The company is being very accommodating and replacing the frame, which is why they are getting two stars instead of one. The individual that was sent to address the attic issue informed me that sometimes instead of vacuuming, they will mask the droppings in the attic if the attic is too hard to vacuum. I should have been told this initially to set expectations. However, the individual was able to vacuum the attic (he said they masked the droppings during the treatment). This individual subsequently told us we needed insulation and gave me a bid, plus told me that the individuals that applied the treatment were very experienced. We don't consider the bid appropriate given the circumstances and we would certainly not go through Pacific Coast for insulation (we don't trust them nor do we want to give them any more money). We are very wary of whether our house was properly treated given what happened with the bathroom window frame. read more
