Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing short-term rental we've experienced. I would strongly recommend updating the listing photos so they accurately reflect the property's current condition and amenities. Some of the issues we encountered included: All windows were unlocked upon arrival, and several either would not lock or were extremely difficult to secure. The sliding doors have no functional locks, only a pole placed in the track. The home was inadequately stocked for the advertised occupancy. There were only 4 beach towels, 6 bath towels, 5 forks, one extra trash bag, very limited cookware, and virtually no cleaning supplies. Many areas of the property appeared heavily weathered, including rust, mold, dirt, and significant sun damage throughout. While the listing notes there is no air conditioning, there were also no ceiling fans. The provided box fans were rusty and did not function properly. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable throughout our stay. The washing machine was rusty, moldy, and unsanitary. The microwave made popping and crackling noises while in use. The listing advertises accommodations for seven guests, but the sleeping arrangements do not realistically support that occupancy unless multiple guests share a bed or someone sleeps on the sofa. Two of the three bedrooms have no closets. The trash cans are located directly outside the carport, making it difficult to maneuver around vehicles. The odor and flies created an unpleasant entrance to the property and made the hallway smell. The sliding glass doors, windows, and balcony glass were covered in bird droppings. The listing photos are misleading. One photo makes it appear there are two balconies, and another shows a sofa where there is actually a bedroom with a TV console. We understand beach properties experience wear from the coastal environment, but the overall cleanliness, maintenance, security concerns, and discrepancies between the listing and the actual property fell well below expectations. I hope this feedback is helpful and that these issues are addressed for future guests.

If you're into throwing lipstick on a pig, this is the place for you. The pictures on the listing did this property waaaaaay too much justice. First - you should know this is a shared building and there is no direct access to the beach from the dwelling unless you go downstairs and out past the neighbors porch which is basically below/beside you. The 1 car garage is beyond tiny and it's a challenge to park in, if you want to exit your vehicle at any point. We had about 6 inches total and that was with folding in the mirrors. Good thing the place reeked of mildew and mold so I didn't eat much. That made it slightly easier to get out of the car after parking it the tiny hole. The window coverings had holes/rips, the sliding door trim in the kitchen area were a hazard. The bathtub on the second floor was big enough to wash a small terrier but not a human. Did I mention the smell? Also, we were not allowed to lower the air to anything below 72. As a woman in her mid 40's that's just brutal (iykyk). Thankfully my kids didn't try to jump out of the windows since there were no screens. Any and all outside critters were welcomed in because I had to keep the windows open to get fresh air in what smelled a lot like an 80's YMCA. There were a few holes in the walls and furniture which really gave college dorm room vibes. For 5k, we expected so much more!

My husband, friend and I rented Cindy's condo for 4 nights. My friend and I participated in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, 60 mile Walk to End Breast Cancer and the condo was along the route. Perfect. Cindy texted me at 7:30AM the morning I was due to check-in to confirm I was still coming. Weird, but OK. I confirmed. She then asked if I was there for the breast cancer walk and when I said yes, she implied that I was lying (pic of txt attached). When we arrived, we found a simple condo with outdated furnishings. Fine. As we settled in and unpacked, we noticed a layer of dust on all the furniture, stains and splatters on the walls, cabinets, baseboards. Every dish and glass we went to use was dirty. The floor in shower in the primary bathroom was stained. Some pillows on the bed were stained and not only smelled moldy, but had visible mold on them.The floor was so dirty that our feet were black from walking in the condo. Gross. Cindy texted to ask how check-in was and I told her that the condo was in need of a deep clean. Everything was a little grimy/sticky. She apologized, saying that she had a broken foot and didn't inspect the condo before we arrived and offered to have someone come clean it. Between my husband cooking and taking care of us while we were walking 8 hours each day and our dogs being with us, I declined her offer to have someone spend 4 or 5 hours cleaning the place during our brief trip. My husband rewashed towels and blankets, dishes, and cleaned both the bathrooms again to ensure that my friend and I were in a clean comfortable environment. At the end of our stay, I texted some pictures Cindy to let her know that she really needs to talk to her cleaners and do much needed maintenance around the condo because after all the fees it costs $500/night to stay there and it is not worth it for the price. She apologized again and said she appreciated the feedback. She then issued a $500 refund. An amount that she decided was fair based on our experience at the condo, and that I appreciated, though I did not explicitly ask for money back. I thanked her and we continued on our way home. I decided not to leave an Airbnb review because I didn't want to lie and say it was clean and great when it wasn't, nor did I want to hurt her future business since she offered a reasonable solution to the issue and I accepted. There was nothing more to do. I come to find out that she left ME a horrible review on Airbnb and basically accused me of scamming her. She charges a $185 cleaning fee and then asks you to strip all the beds, collect the towels, do the dishes and take out the trash. Since we had to spend hours cleaning the place for it to be comfortable for our stay to begin with, we didn't follow the checkout procedures. Mind you, garbage was collected from around the house and placed in the bin, dishes were in the dishwasher or in the sink, dirty towels were in piles on the floor, so it isn't as though we left the house in complete chaos and mess. We provided proof of overcharge, and they kept telling us how they reversed the balance, when they never did. It didn't show in our bank statements. Our travel coordinator was Andrea. Constant mistakes on her end. Its taken us MONTHS to get this cleared. We went to the bank to figure it out for us because these people are absolutely no help. After everything they still are over charging us $2000. At this point we are going to our Navy Shipyard uppers to help us out. Praying the shipyard stops working with these people .
