I got a quote from Pacific Fireside to repair a fireplace insert and overall it was a positive experience. Customer service is really top tier here. I was always able to get through to a representative and they were very on top of it when it came to returning my calls. I got an estimate for the $75 fee and the technician, Ben, that came was very nice and thorough. We have yet to have them repair our fireplace becuase the estimate we got seemed to be a little bit high, but when I called to ask them about it, they said the technician would be calling me to explain. I hadn't heard from him for a couple days, so I called back and they apologized for the delay. I was told they would follow up with the technician and he would call me directly. Overall, a positive experience as a customer. For my repair, the cost seemed a little on the high side but I hope that they can explain as to why. Their cost of getting an estimate did seem to be lower than most other places I had looked into. We have an older home and we had been getting water in our chimney. Pacific Fireside came out quickly and inspected our chimney. They showed me photos of cracks in the chimney crown and showed me how the existing damper was also letting rain in. Ben resurfaced the crown of the chimney and installed a new top-mount damper on top of our chimney. Ben also cleaned the efflorescence off of our chimney.
