From date of first visit to the last hour of cleaning the dirt and hosing down gravels on my drive way, Jeff and his team had been super polite, professional, and most importantly, the job was done flawlessly in a shorter time than planned. I saw Jeff and Sam scoop the last bit of sand with their hands into their pickup trunk and that showed me how much they care about perfecting a job, though not a big one. Jeff also helped me with the design of a curved low wall around some small trees in my backyard which turned out to be a nice touch of the backyard and made the whole look much more finished than just paving works. I met with about 8 potential contractors and compare bids from 5. Pacific Pavers pricing was excellent (the lower bids I got I knew were from less experienced/smaller contractors who I don't think had the resources to accomplish my job). We were truly blown away by their dedication to create the atmosphere we were looking for, as well as working to improve our draining concerns. Before working with Pacific Pavers, we had a great concern due to our town-home foundation being lower than our community sidewalk. With El Nino coming, our greatest fear was flooding in our home. Our previous landscaping had no drain access or preventative measures to ensure our home would not flood. Our overseer at Pacific Pavers was Jeff; he is a terrific guy whose knowledge and ideas for preventative damage put our concerns to rest. Jeff has a great understanding of his line of work, and we felt incredibly lucky to have him listen to our concerns and create an action plan to procure a beautiful patio, that would ensure our homes safety. The job was a speedy process, starting with a walk over evaluation of our property and action plan based on our wishes. Originally, we had 4 companies come out to view our options; but we knew after meeting and communicating with Jeff that we would be choosing Pacific Pavers. His upbeat attitude, understanding, and feedback proved to be the right fit for the job we had ahead. He provided us with a few paver booklets to browse that day, and has been sincerely working with us the whole way through. Kindly replying by phone and email to all of our ideas or concerns. He brought several types of pavers to our home for viewing, as well as applying the sealants. Once my husband and I came to an agreement on pavers, the job was set to be done and was completed within 3 days. We have a neighbor who keeps an eye on our community, and after the job was complete she pulled me aside to express how pleasant and efficient the team from Pacific Pavers were. This is my only my second Yelp review but for good cause. The first positive is Sam had paver samples sent to us in different styles & colors which was totally beneficial as the true paver color and appearance was slightly different than the paver catalog colors. This made our selection of paver and color more accurate and pleasing. The second positive is the paver crew was extremely knowledgeable, quick and cleaned up every day. The third positive was the project was completed in 4 days including install of new turf which totally added a landscape plus. Our neighbor had their project with another paver contractor take almost 2 months. The fourth positive is the communication was great with Sam. The fifth positive was the project pricing was very reasonable compared to other larger paver companies. The sixth positive was there was no gimmicks such as demo discount, managers discount and marketing discount (post sign). The seventh positive is many neighbors stopped and admired the project or gave a thumbs up as they passed by. We invited several paver companies to quote our newly designed backyard patio. As soon as we met Jeff and Sam we knew which company we wanted to choose, even before receiving any quotes. They were attentive to the scope of work at hand, they were personable, and they were appreciative of the other work and design ideas that we had started previously. Based on our conversations, and the information that Jeff provided, we had total confidence that the job would be done correctly, without any issues. Pacific Pavers gave us a fair quote (not the lowest), with everything detailed and clear. They brought over several sets of samples. The job was estimated to take 3 days. They started on schedule, and finished 3 days later, on schedule. The construction crew worked hard, and did a great job! The area was cleaned up before they left, and the patio looks fantastic. Communication with Jeff was great. He would respond to e-mails at night, and texts or phone calls at most times. When I went perfectionist on him during our final inspection, he was quick to remedy a few pavers that were slightly out of line, or had an extra little gap. Thanks Jeff! One addition we had done was adding a sealer to the pavers. We went with the "enhanced" sealer (BP Pro) that brings out the color of the paver, and stabilizes and protects the sanded joints. We would highly recommend this added step - your pavers will look great, and you will have significantly less residual sand floating around on the paver surface. Overall, Pacific Pavers did a great job and were a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

We are incredibly pleased with the workmanship of the Pacific Pavers crew. We had a fairly large (1500 sq ft) project with driveway, sidewalk, and RV pad put in. Not only did they beat the other 3 contractors estimates by several thousand dollars, they alone suggested an additional 2" of base under the RV pad to compensate for the heavier weight of the vehicle. Sam always responded promptly to my emails or phone calls, and answered my questions fully. They adhered to their projected schedule, working on Saturdays as well, and completed the entire job in 7 days. The crew was industrious, polite, and worked clean, tidying up each day as much as possible. I was very impressed with the detail finish work they did on the last day to cap off the project. Jeff recently completed a 650 sq ft paving project in my backyard. It included full demo/removal, new schedule 40 drains and ORCO pavers in a great herringbone pattern. I interviewed about 6 other companies and Jeff was by far the most transparent, responsive and affordable. When I first spoke to him on the phone, he gave me a rough price per sq ft of what the project would cost and after he officially measured the area, it was in line with what he said on the phone. I had a few other people tell me one thing on the phone and jack up the price once they measured. We are very happy with how the work turned out. My backyard has also been through a few heavy rains and the pavers/new drainage have held up well. He also has a good warranty. We had one minor issue arise after a very large rain (something Jeff told me could happen before the project started but assured me would be covered by warranty) and sure enough he came out personally to fix no questions asked. I can't stop staring at it! I am amazed at the way the colors in the tiles chosen work with the pre-existing color of my house. So beautiful! My dad is actually the one who found Pacific Pavers. We've been living at this house for 30 years and a makeover has been long overdue. My dad chose Pacific Pavers after inquiring with other companies but he felt comfortable with them. He had them come out and place paving stones in the backyard to create a patio. The yard is not very big so more than half of the lawn was taken out. The end result is magnificent! The workers were great too. Speedy work and beautifully done. It's been a month since the patio was done and we now enjoy sitting outside. Just 2 days ago Pacific Pavers were back to lay paving stones extending from the backyard (we still have grass) all the way to the front patio area to the entry way of the house stopping at the driveway. I literally cannot say enough nice things about these guys. Pacific Pavers is outstanding! I had a contractor screw me over with some work on my house and they pulled up a section of pavers and didn't bother to tell me that they did not know how to replace them. The whole repair area was 2' x 2'. I called probably five companies before I called Pacific Pavers. Most told me the job is too small for them to even bother coming out. One quoted me $2500 to fix it! And I had the pavers already! All they had to do was set them. It was such a waste of time to call anybody but Pacific Pavers. We got quotes from a couple of different companies and we didn't go with Pacific Pavers just because their quote was less that the others, it was also because of Sam. He was honest, professional and very easy to work with which is as important, if not more important than a good price. I was promised a quote by the following morning for repairs on our pavers and it took PP 3 days, one e-mail reminder and a phone call for Jeff to get back to me with a quote which turned out to be a one line quote with a nice round number that looked like their minimum bid for a job. It was not competitive with the other quote we received. If it takes this much time and effort to get a quote, I hate to think what it takes to get the real work done. read more

I highly recommend Pacific Pavers. We went out and got multiple estimates all of which were within about $50 of each other. Based on a friend's advice, we were planning to go with someone other than Pacific Pavers but they never responded to our email choosing them while Sam from Pacific Pavers followed up on his estimate and offered us a neighbor close by for reference. We saw and spoke with this reference and were impressed. So, we ended up choosing Sam and Pacific Pavers. And we weren't disappointed. We selected about six different pavers and asked that they be delivered so that we could decide which one we wanted. Those pavers were delivered and displayed at the time stated. Once we selected our pavers, we also changed the scope of the job. I had measured the additional are and estimated the cost based on their submitted estimate. Sam's final measurement and estimate matched exactly what I had. The work was done in a professional manner; the work crew cleaned up and straightened every day; Sam visited the site at least once a day and was available by phone. The final product has exceeded our expectations. We really can't add much more other than to say we would use them again and would pass their information on to others we know. read more

In the previous contractor, we were being shortchange. we paid about $31,000 and the job has not been completed and above all the quality of work was so substandard. Here is my story with Pacific Pavers. I had a huge space filled with weeds and dead grass. It was all of my backyard, my driveway, and the majority of my front yard....all in all, it was greater than 1500 square feet. I wanted to remodel, and I actually thought about concrete. So I got lots of quotes....and it turned out that pavers were only slightly more expensive than concrete so I went with pavers. I interviewed a lot of paver companies, and Pacific Pavers' cost was towards the low end. My tipping point in choosing Pacific Pavers was Sam: he was straight-forward, honest, a straight-shooter, no BS, and honest....did I say he was honest? Yes, he was very honest and it meant a lot to me. He told me what they can and cannot do, what looked good and what did not....he really had my intentions in mind. I told him that I wanted something that will last for over 20 years (no cracks, no flooding, no weeds, etc). We went through different ideas and Sam offered suggestions. He was honest to the point that even if it meant less business for him, he suggested it to me because he had my best intentions in mind. The fact that he cared more about me than the money he was pulling in meant a lot of me. For over 1500 sq ft of pavers, the entire process took about two and a half weeks. They had to break the existing concrete and take away the existing soil/yard that I had. The crew wasted no time. They came to work and they did not play around. The demo was loud, dusty, and very dirty. Everyday Sam came either in the morning or afternoon to check on the progress. He gave me a status of what is going on and what to expect next. These daily meetings I had with Sam were invaluable! I'm a college professor (teaching/research in math) and I do have an eye for detail. My wife is in the health care field as well and she is quite picky. In summary, we both have an eye for detail and we scrutinized Sam's work in the minutest detail. The paver layout, location, and installation were all watched by my careful eyes. In summary, Sam answered all of my concerns, and quickly fixed any issues we had. One last thing I will say is this: when our water line broke and the city could not fix it, Sam was immediately on the phone trying to get a solution. On a holiday weekend at 10PM at night, Sam's boss (Jeff) was outside holding the light for a plumber who was anxiously fixing our water line. That's dedication! That is the way to ensure customer satisfaction! My backyard, driveway, front yard all look beautiful. At the university I teach in, I am known as a hard grader but I give Sam and Pacific Pavers an A+. I highly recommend them. read more

After researching and reading online review we found Pacific Pavers and were very impressed with the level of detail and knowledge Jeff, our consultant provided. We bombarded Jeff with many questions regarding different paver stones manufacturers, color/texture, layout, drainage and lighting options and Jeff answered all of them with patience providing great suggestions. Ultimately, we decided to work with Jeff and we do not regret our decision. His team installed over 780 sq. ft. of the Angelus Courtyard paver stones including a low voltage lighting system, and a sprinkler/drip system.
