To say my dog loved this place is an understatement. We walked to Pacific Pet Treats to pick up a cake for my dog's birthday. They greeted us with lots of treat samples! My dog loved every single one of them. Each of their treats are locally sourced from Monterey fisherman or made right there in their bakery. This is a very overdue review I should have written two months ago. This is my new favorite pet shop with the best owners. My family and I came to Monterey for the day to celebrate and we didn't want to come back empty handed when we returned home to our pup. We loved the selection and variety of treats and gifts. We were especially impressed with the creation of treats that were happening in store with fish right in front of us. We selected a few cannolis and a bully stick for our beagle, which he gobbled right up. The prices are competitive with other dog stores and here you have the delight of dealing with the owners. Both are CSU Monterey Bay graduates who have created a beautiful business and have even begun giving back as alumni of CSUMB. They have hosted students in assisting them learn about business and accomplishing their school requirements. I don't think my partner and I have enjoyed speaking to people so much, while becoming so engrossed with their paths that have led them to opening Pacific Pet Treats. With one being a head chef nearby and the other a psychologist, they ooze passion and love for what they've done and created. I wish I lived closer to this shop, but with it being an hour away and close to our favorite restaurant, Mezzaluna, we can pop on in when we visit. Discovered this store while on a trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We were walking back to the parking lot and decided to walk into Pacific Pet Treats. Lots of treat options, leashes, collars, toys, you name it! We met the owner, who was so helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He and his wife make the seafood treats in house and you can tell they really take pride in their craft. He carefully explained their process and the ingredients. They recently opened their store and I highly suggest you stop by if you're in the area and looking to support a small business. We ended up talking about our dogs and sharing pictures. We purchased the salmon burger Patties and our dog absolutely loved them! She suffers from a sensitive stomach and these treats didn't upset her tummy! A win! read more

This shop is the only shop I know where they make fish in house treats! My pup loves everything they make! The owners and staff are always so helpful and informative and definitely ones who we trust the opinions of! They also sell other treats that are big favorites of our pup. Their prices are reasonable. Sometimes they're prices are comparable, but most of the time lower than other shops in the area. Make sure to stop by and support, their online store is in effect now too! So we never have to have withdrawals! read more

What a great store. The owner was super knowledgeable, and he recommended a treat holder that we could use with treats that expand in the holder. Our dogs absolutely loved them. This place is a wonderful gem! We stumbled upon the shop while spending a weekend in Monterey. Lance was super helpful, educated us about Yakima cheese, had an amazing bakery of treats, and in-house made locally sourced seafood treats for dogs. Pacific Pet Treats is relatively new but have found a great niche in a perfect location. Easy to find street parking, or park in the parking garage immediately behind. We absolutely loved the rawhide-esque dried fish skin for our older pup that was a little more forgiving on his teeth. The green yogurt based cannoli and halibut cake were eaten in a heartbeat, so I'd take that as a 100% home run with our dog. I highly recommend coming here for the amazing hospitality (dogs are happily welcome), variety of (well really) everything for dogs, and supporting their in-house made dog treats! They make prepackaged bags to go, which are a must. read more

We found this place amazing place not long after moving to the area. Our Sheepadoodle LOVES the treats we get here, she also loves getting the free samples!! Really cute shop! Very nice employees! She gave our puppy some yummy free samples and he was able to pick the calamari cookies as his favorite. We were also noticing the doggie and kitty wine and the employee made the great suggestion of giving them as stocking stuffers so we bought some!
