Just finished with the install on a washer/dryer combo from Pacific Sales / Best Buy. All in all we got 3 new appliances - Stove, Fridge and W/D. I would give the sales and shopping experience a 5 star review. The sales team there was simply great. Having the online component with Best Buy is really handy for research and then going into the store to finalize things. Pricing was very competitive and best we could find in the area. The install was mostly good. We had some back n forth with one installer and ultimately all the work got done. Just felt like the first installer was being lazy and didn't want to finish the job properly. Of course they outsource the actual install to a local crew and so proper way to enforce things. All in all great, experience and would definitely use them again. read more

I purchased a LG 4 door fridge. I even paid for the warranty. My fridge has been warm for 1 1/2 weeks. Pacific sales hard to get to speak to me The Warrenty has Technitran to fix my fridge. Someone was supposed to come last Thursday never showed I thought to wait all day the next day. By the way when I made the appointment I selected the afternoon because I don't sleep well. I spoke to someone named David on Friday afternoon who told me he called Friday morning and I didn't answer the phone so he left a voice message to see if he could have come that morning. I don't fall asleep until 4-5 o'clock and I made Technitran aware when my fridge first broke. There is a lot more that occurred and I was supposed to have someone come here to add stuff to make the fridge cold again. There is so much more to tell. I will never buy from Pacific Sales again. After buying a new house that needed renovation, we looked in a few places for new appliances. A few minutes into our visit to Best Buy, where Pacific Sales handles the appliance department, it was clear that we would get the best price and best service here. We ended up buying a whole new set of kitchen appliances as well as a washer & dryer. The salesman, Justin Eres, was knowledgeable and very honest and practical minded, and he was more than willing to match prices and ensure that we were getting a good deal for the large package we bought. But what really set this experience apart was after the sale. Nowadays, with cheap online sales and the death of small retail, it's hard to expect quality service from retail - especially after you've spent the money. Throughout the following months as we got our kitchen ready for the appliance delivery, Justin was consistently available by phone and e-mail, and more than willing to help with just about everything. The only annoying bit of our experience was that when we were finally ready for the appliances to be delivered (it took several months to get the kitchen ready for the new delivery), some of the appliances were back ordered and it took a while to get them. Not a huge deal in retrospect now that our kitchen is put together. The fridge was delivered with a damaged handle, but the delivery guys were honest about it and promised to get it rectified ASAP. We are still waiting on this, but I'm confident that Justin will help us get it sorted out. Bottom line of advice: it's stupid to buy your appliances online when you can go to Best Buy, talk to Justin, get the online prices you find online matched along with assurance that you'll get quality service along the way. read more

My girlfriend and I came here to buy a washer and dryer for our new home. Justin Eres worked with us to find the right model for our needs. We were planning to buy at Home Depot thanks to their contractor discount, but Justin was able to beat that price and throw in a free drip tray as well. He was very transparent and pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, during the installation, the new drip tray was cracked by the installers. Thus began a horrible 2-month battle with Best Buy (who orchestrated the installation) to try to get them to send someone out to fix it. In the end, we had to find our own contractor to fix the tray and hope that we could get someone at Best Buy to approve a refund for the cost. That's where Justin really helped us out. At the end of the day he was the only person we could consistently get a hold of when dealing with this issue, and though it took longer than I would have liked, he was ultimately able to help us secure the refund when our "claims manager" at Best Buy wouldn't even return my calls. I wouldn't buy from here again because I can't support their relationship with Best Buy, but I would gladly work with Justin in any other capacity. read more

Worst customer experience of my 37 years. Came in ordered a washer a dryer. Max waited till after he ran my card to tell me the washer was back ordered. I really needed the dryer, so I continued as the dryer delivery was only a few days wait. Booked the 4 delivery window, dryer never came. Called the Pacific appliance phone number 12 times. I was either hung up on or the phone was never picked up. Finally go through and scheduled a new date and time for the dryer but had to wait several more days. Dryer actually came. Now on to washer.... delivery time set and confirmed, rushed home from a party to be home on time, 4 hrs passed no washer. Called 6 times and finally got Ashee (sp?) on the phone. Said they had lost all contact with the warehouse and delivery teams. No one had received their items that day. I asked for a manager and was told she wouldn't be in for two days and was not reachable. That I YES I would need to call her. Here we are those two days later and after 7 phone calls I did get through, and have now been on hold for the manager for 31 min. RUN!! AS far as you can from this store. read more

I live in San Jose, but I drove all the way to Emeryville to purchase a floor model Samsung range that was literally more than half the price of what I would pay if I purchased it elsewhere. The customer service we received the day we bought the range was second to none, and we couldn't have been happier. However, that's not the full story. Somewhere in the delivery (we brought it home ourselves), a part got lost. Whether or not it was our fault our Pacific Sales isn't very clear, but what really made me happy was that I was able to order the missing part, free of charge. Customer service definitely needs work between ALL departments and the ENTIRE buying process from sales to delivery and post purchase (especially if you spring for their "premier protection plan"). Customer service is not just about having a separate department apologizing AFTER the other departments have been inadequate or messed up. IF YOU ARE BUYING A FRIDGE from this branch, read the following tips & WARNINGS: They do not hook up water lines for fridges (with ice & water dispenser) unless the valve is directly behind the fridge. They may or may not go over this with you at time of purchase. They mostly rely on giving you a handout with all their fine print of what they do or don't do, so it becomes the customer's responsibility to do the bedtime reading. The delivery guy told me a part is needed in order to install my appliance, and they don't have that part so he can't install it. I thought that then I should just return the waterline kit and hire my own trusty fridge guy to do the installation. The delivery dude insisted that I just need to call the toll free customer service number to get it installed and it will be covered as part of this purchase, no extra charge or anything. I called the 800 number. Customer service guy said they don't handle this shit and people need to stop calling them about it (apparently they get these calls all the time), and I should call the local Pacific Sales branch directly to coordinate this. I called Pacific Sales at Best Buy Emeryville. Someone told me they'll find out what the deal is and get back to me on it. I hear nothing for a week. I call them back again, get put on hold for 10 minutes and then I'm told that they don't do any type of installation unless the valve is directly behind the fridge and that I should look at the printout and it's all there down in writing on what they do or don't do. Sheesh. Then why did all these other people tell me something different? Educate & train your delivery people/company about your policies so they don't tell customers processes and policies not honored by your company. Get everyone on the same page, will you? The delivery team (usually 2 guys) should also include at least one person who can speak and communicate well in English. The guys that came out were hardworking dudes who have to get up at the asscrack of dawn to pick up the appliances at 5 am and spend the rest of the day delivery them all over the state, but spoke very limited English. Do your research and comparison shop. They will price match, and pricing is inconsistent from store to store to online. Pay attention to the prices and get it adjusted if you find that you paid more than what some places are selling it for. The accessories & service plans also vary. They do sell some lemons. Some sales people will be candid about definite lemons that get lots of returns or complaints...but yet the model is still on the selling floor. Inspect your home & unit for defects & damage thoroughly before you sign off on it. The delivery dudes like to push the paperwork to you to sign off ASAP in hope that you don't spend any time really looking over the appliance. One guy didn't put together something properly and actually forcibly bent up a plastic part to make it fit. Thanks, man. I don't know if it's worth it buying their extended service/protection plan. The overall service with Pacific Sales is so meh~ and bleh~ that I have zero faith in that plan ever coming through for me or being worth the price. read more

This company has by far the worst delivery and installation team! We spent over 25,000 dollars purchasing high end commercial grade appliances through pacific sales, Sales was a breeze (of course) but everything else that followed was a nightmare. Delivery got screwed up so they delivered everything seperately. Installation that we paid for never happened after 3 attempts. Now on our 4th attempt 2 weeks later we come to find out there are different teams of installers. One of which only installs the range and a separate crew comes later to install all other appliances. The Rudest delivery & installation people ever! Still without appliance installed 2 wks later. By far, the worst experience in our lives! TL;DR: Wretched customer service & wretched delivery service. I bought a floor-model freezer on sale and was told it would be delivered on Friday. When I called on Friday, they said, "Oops -- we forgot to put it on the truck!" So much for the party I was throwing that weekend. But don't worry, they'll definitely get to me by NEXT Friday. Next Thursday, I call their store and get verbal confirmation it will arrive the next day. I get a confirmation call that night telling me to wait at home 8 AM to noon, and it will arrive. So I cancel work for the morning and stay home to receive it. At 8:45 AM on Friday morning I get a call: Oops, they forgot to put it on the delivery truck again. But they tell me I can call at 10 AM and talk to the store when it opens. I call at 10 AM, and they tell me, "Don't worry -- it IS on the truck for delivery today. Just stay at home and wait for it. I'll call back with a more detailed delivery time." No call. I call an hour later and speak to a manager, who tells me: a) They should never have sold it to me at that price, b) The five people along the way who told me I would receive the freezer were customer service people, not salespeople, so I should have known that they wouldn't have the right answer, c) It's my responsibility to pick it up if I want it today, d) She should charge me an extra $75 for delivery, e) If I don't like it, she can cancel my order and I can lose the sale price, and e) She'll personally make sure it arrives next Tuesday. Gee, thanks. I will update my review if the freezer ever arrives. Avoid this business like the plague. read more

It is now the afternoon of the day before my current scheduled delivery date. I called a little earlier and no one will will tell me the estimated time of the delivery tomorrow. I mentioned that this delivery has had a troubled history and customer relations phones have "escalated" this ticket and issued apologies, etc. I asked if there's any possible way for them to just confirm the delivery time now. They said no. One guy from a call center said they'll contact me at around 6 pm to 9 pm... I'm pretty sure if no one calls by that time I won't be able to reach anyone to find out why... I read the other reviews on this site and felt extremely uneasy about the chances the delivery and installation being successful tomorrow. I wrote the following e-mail to consumerrelations@pacificsales.com: Dear Pacific Sales Consumer Relations: I am writing to sincerely plead that you take a moment to make sure that your team successfully deliver and install my dishwasher tomorrow. I really do not want anymore sincere apologies. In fact, I hope that I would be the one who sincerely apologizes to you for complaining after you've shamed me with your impeccable and timely dishwasher installation. I humbly beg that you make one final effort to make sure that my ticket is cleared so you can get me out of your hair for good. My phone number is XXX-XXX-XXXX if you need to look up my order number. It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, Wednesday November 11, 2015. I just got off the phone with your installation team and with XPO, both confirming that it is scheduled for delivery and installation tomorrow, but who both will not give me a specific time. They said I will be given a time this evening, when no one can be reached to correct any scheduling errors that may have been made. This is my 4th re-scheduled date. I believe the troubled history of this purchase is well documented at this point. Despite the numerous "escalations" of this matter to rectify the various scheduling errors, I am still met with the same apathy and lack of accountability from the numerous departments in charge of delivery and installation. Despite various open tickets on this issue, you still refuse to give me a delivery time until the evening before the scheduled date. Please, please make sure that the dishwasher is delivered and installed successfully tomorrow. I have wasted too much of my time already accommodating your scheduling failures. Please make sure the dishwasher is picked up and ready for delivery tomorrow. Please make sure that they call me today as soon as possible on the time frame of delivery. In fact, it'd be great if they would just schedule it now and call me right now. Please make sure that the installers have all the necessary parts to complete the install. I beg of you to please make an effort now to inform your legion of different departments to ensure that this 4th scheduled date finally goes off without a hitch. At this point I have no faith in your company, your contractors, partners, and whoever comprise of your business. I expect that someone in your chain will make a mistake of some sort that will cause more frustrations tomorrow. I fully expect the wrong dishwasher was picked up, or if it was damaged in some way en route, or the installer left his screw driver at home, etc. I can totally see me posting this email on facebook/twitter/yelp and bragging about how I can see the future. Please prove me wrong and make me look like a jackass for writing this email. Please make sure the installation goes off so flawlessly that I'll be shamed into deleting all my Yelp reviews. Please, please just get this thing done so we can all move on with our lives. It would be a consumer relations victory if you take a proactive step to assuage my concerns and just completely nail this one installation. You can even write me back later after your installation victory to claim that no extra effort was taken on my case because every Pacific Sales gives 110% effort to every customer. Good deals on appliances, but beware of their ripoff FIVE YEAR extended warranty. First it's really a 4 year extended warranty. 1 year already comes from the manufacturer. Their verbiage is incorrect.. Extended to most people mean added on to what you already have. Then the warranty company sends out a repair service that takes 2 to 3 weeks to come out and address the issue. I can keep going on, but the negativity upsets me too much. I will echo the earlier commenter JK C. on the customer service, primarily the folks in the delivery department (supposedly a contractor). In short, it's awful. Much longer version: They left a message that they were going to deliver/install the cooktop I purchased on a date that was later than the date we agreed on the store -- so I had to call in to get that fixed (Call 1). Then I did not get a call all day the day before delivery as promised so I called again to confirm at 4:55 pm (Call 2) and was told delivery was on track and got a 12-4 pm delivery window. The installer then called during delivery window to say he was on the way -- so we moved a bunch of stuff to prepare. But two hours later I had to call again to see where they were and what was the matter (Call 3). Supposedly there was a mixup at the store and the correct installation equipment was not available to the installer -- but no one bothered to call and tell me that! So Call 3 ended with me getting heated at their poor level of service and failure to communicate or offer any solution; I was hung up on before they even suggested coming a different day or apologized for the mix up or any other basic customer service measure. So I called back again, now quite angry, to find out what would happen now that my delivery was a bust (Call 4), but was hung up again as they told they would not speak with me now -- as though I was angry for no apparent reason. Finally, I called the main customer service line for the Company and told them this story and asked to terminate the purchase (Call 5). The agent there offered my money back immediately as though this was a fairly common occurrence. In the end it took 5 Calls and 2 hangups to have them fail to do what they promised. I will update if it gets any worse and requires more calls, but otherwise will never patronize Pacific Sales again. read more

Having had probably the worst retail experience of my life at the Computer Geeks kiosk inside Best Buy 5 years ago, I swore I'd never enter these glass doors again. I'm not even sure if Pacific Sales' relationship with Best Buy is anything more than an agreement to share retail space but the experience that I had was at the other end of the continuum from Best Buy 5 years ago. Having given up on putting any more time and money into repairing my aging and ailing 11 year-old GE dishwasher and with a houseful of houseguests + child to make the purchase of a replacement urgent, I came into this store at close to 8pm and laid my cards on the table to salesperson Kat Hopper: Do you a have scratched/returned/outofbox/storedemomodel dishwasher that won't need me lying on my back on the kitchen floor for the next several years making repairs i.e., something that's reliable, efficient, and preferably quiet). This no-nonsense, no BS Kat was the kind of salesperson of my dreams. She didn't try to sell me something that she wanted to sell and that I hadn't asked for -- she took me straight to two or three examples that met my original request, offered to hold my preferred model while I looked at what the competition down the road (Home Depot) had to offer. After checking out HD's lackluster offerings and comparing online prices for the same model (Amazon was offering this for over $1,100, Sears for $899), I was back in 20 mins and wheeling this out-of-the-box KitchenAid machine (unscratched, no less!) for $399 + tax. By 10:30pm, I had the first of three loads of dirty dishes starting their wash cycle. Without any hype from Kat Hopper about the 43db spec of this machine, I discovered just how quiet it is when I started my first load, put my ear to the door and couldn't hear anything. I assumed I'd made some mistake in the installation .... no mistake: When I opened the door, it was obvious that the machine was well into its wash cycle. 5 loads later, my only complaint is that I have no way of knowing if it's working or not without opening the door! (This is a back-handed compliment). This is shopping my style. I could not have asked for more. Quick, courteous, humorous, and I get a bargain to boot! read more

Deliveey and installation of the washer/dryer combo was fine. They were a half hour later than the promised window, but really in the end, the installation was fine. Next Thursday, I call their store and get verbal confirmation it will arrive the next day. I get a confirmation call that night telling me to wait at home 8 AM to noon, and it will arrive. So I cancel work for the morning and stay home to receive it. At 8:45 AM on Friday morning I get a call: Oops, they forgot to put it on the delivery truck again. But they tell me I can call at 10 AM and talk to the store when it opens. read more

Our former refrigerator was broke, and Phil helped us navigate the warrantee and also helped us get a new fridge. It was a daunting process, and Phil made a HUGE difference. He is an excellent communicator, clear, telling us exactly what's needed and possible, he kept in touch every step of the way. Phil went out of his way to help us.
