I'm sad to have to leave a bad review. The sushi was awesome, and my Pad Thai was good. The service fell very short. I don't mind when servers aren't talkative or are short during the meal. Everyone has bad days. Paying the bill is what was upsetting. We had two checks. My husband and I had no problem. Our friends paid in cash, and left the left-over cash as the tip. Our server called our friends out for not "leaving enough" for the tip. I would understand asking if they didn't enjoy her service and what she could have done better, but she was incredibly rude about it. She really enjoys Thai food. I spent a few too many years serving Thai food, so I'll stick with the Japanese side of the menu. Our service was good - prompt & attentive. The green tea tasted delicious (not the steeped-for-5-years-tea). Our entrees came with salad with a ginger dressing & the greens and veggies were crisp and fresh. Perfectly dressed. Here's where dear mom & I differ. She ordered Pad Thai, which she described as overly dressed & noodle-heavy with not enough meat. We are also accustomed to fresh sprouts or carrots on top and there were none. Just LOTS of peanuts. I had the sashimi combo which was a gigantic portion for one and was delicious. All of the fish tasted fresh It was a great value compared to other places that I have ordered sashimi. I'll likely return. Mom likely won't.. but she does live in VA, so I can't really blame her. I've overlooked this place for years, and it was only in the post-COVID rush to dine out again that I finally gave these folks a try, and boy am I glad I did! Their food is consistently good, from their soups to their spring rolls to their many dishes. The Massaman curry sauce is creamy and delicious, and they have a delicious Tom Ka soup that has just the right blend of sweet and sour with the coconut milk, lime, and ginger. The Singapore noodles are phenomenal as well, with a mix of pork, chicken, and shrimp, though you can ask them to leave out any of the proteins. Portion sizes are generous, the ambience is casual and non-pretentious, and best of all, their prices are great. This little restaurant in the strip mall right off Castleberry has some of the best Thai and Chinese food you'll find in Cumming/Alpharetta and I can not recommend them highly enough. I've eaten here several times. I have one order (2 pieces) of salmon nigiri and an order of shrimp fried rice. Both are always excellent. The salmon is fresh and are nice sized pieces. They also have discounts on rolls. The shrimp fried rice is very tasty. And an indicator of how cheap a restaurant is being is by the number of shrimp they give you. Here they give you a lot. I've counted 10 big shrimp in my dish today. They are also fresh. Nice atmosphere with an oriental garden flair. I've been to Chinese restaurants all over and I give this a solid 4 stars. Finally a good Chinese restaurant near me! I recently moved to an area closer to this location and have been satisfied with their Chinese food. I enjoy their sesame chicken and sweet/sour chicken. They have fair portions and pricing. Delivery is always super fast as well! Overall good experiences with them. My only constructive feedback is that I learned to not order from them an hour before they closed because the food wasn't fresh at that point. I appreciated the spring roll and crab rangoon coming with the lunch special, but the General Tso's chicken wasn't awesome. We ordered delivery late tonight (9 pm) and it was so good! I have ordered from them in the past, but it's been at least a year and they have definitely stepped things up. The food was delivered piping hot and everything was very tasty. HUGE portions, the to go boxes were packed full. We got the house special lo mein, chicken pad thai, and moo shu pork. The shrimp in the lo mein tasted fresh and not overcooked or rubbery. The moo shu pork had real moo shu pancakes, not the tortillas some places use. We have dined here many times and ordered delivery many times. Generally good, but this time the sent Thai Rama that looked like milky vegetables and boiled chicken with no peanuts as the advertised on the menu. No color, no flavor. Being that we have ordered many times with no problems we gave the benefit of the doubt. Called them to see if they could make it right, they said we didn't put starch in to thicken it. Just recently moved to the area and were in search of a good Chinese restaurant. Everywhere we've lived, we find 'the' place and it becomes at least a twice weekly meal. Pacific Spice was our third try in the area and we thought we'd found it. Only down side was they didn't have brown rice, but the food was hot and fresh. Nothing outstanding or inspired, but good execution of the traditional dishes. Today we went there for the 4th time in the last few weeks, and my wife ordered the same thing she always does there (and any other Chinese restaurant for that matter), chicken with broccoli. And as always, she asked if they could add a few carrots. In 30 years, eating hundreds of Chinese meals this has never been a problem. Anywhere. Ever. The waitress told her it would be $1 extra. We had to ask her to repeat herself as we were pretty sure we misunderstood. You already have sliced carrots, just toss in a few. Leave out some broccoli if a half inch of carrot is that expensive. We'll be going back to Chopstix Chinese Bistro down the road from now on. Very disappointed read more

I almost want to give this place 2 ratings - lunch would be a 4/5, dinner a 2. The lunch specials are good, nice value perfect amount of food. You can do Chinese, Japanese, or Thai. Nice variety. However, dinner is a big disappointment. The portion sizes do not seem much larger for dinner yet the prices are. I love going to Chinese and sharing but not too possible here. The food is fine, but nothing too special. The decor is nice but if you like to have soup, app and entree it would be too pricey for what it is. Lunch is a much better value. As always since it is Asian there are lots of meatless choices. The staff is nice enough but keep your visits to lunch and you will probably be happy :) read more

I live close to this place, but have only been there once, 15 years ago! I just never think of going there. So today i went for lunch and it was like rediscovering an old friend. I had the chicken lo mein, came with your choice of hot sour soup, fried rice, egg roll and the cream cheese fried won ton. The lo mein was very good, lots of big chick pieces, mmm! The sides were ok. I mix the rice into the noodles if theres enuf sauce! And i had Calif roll, which was ok, half price! $15 with tip, it was lotta food! I enjoyed it! I forgot how nice it was inside. No napkins or soy sauce on the tables??? Whats that about! Service was fine, Lisa was my server, nice lady! Delicious food with great service. I came in for a late lunch on a Sunday and was a little weary to try it. From the outside this place doesn't look like anything special but inside is very nice and classy. My miso soup and seaweed salad came out fast and my sushi rolls came right as I was finishing appetizers. The sushi was fresh and amazing. I'm definitely coming back for the volcano roll. I have never had a problem with Pacific Spice in the many years of living in Cumming! Their food is super cheap and you get a lot of food for your money! They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. I wish they had more than one type of veggie roll since I don't eat fish, but there is plenty of other options to choose from. My boyfriend always orders their curry, and he says its always delicious. I recommend going for dinner, as their lunch menu is very limited and the food isn't as fresh. First off. I like the food. It's great! But there is one employee/ waitress that is the reason I will never go back. Every time my wife and I or my family goes in there, there is a waitress with short glittery hair that is a complete jerk to everyone, rushes everyone to order and get out even when you have NO ONE else in the restaurant. Today, I came in with my family. We we're immediately and I mean before could sit down bombarded with a big attitude about ordering drinks. I asked for a minute so I could look and glitter haired lady was visibly mad and walked off. She didn't come back to the table till I flagged her down (longer then 10 mins) and said we are ready and she yelled Ok with a big freaking attitude then walked off. So my family got up and we felt. I don't appreciate being treat like shit and you don't treat my family like shit. Maybe she should go through some customer service training and I would recommend her not putting glitter in her hair. Well, I must be doing something wrong like trying to find a good Chinese restaurant that delivers in the SW Cumming area. Had an attitude problem from the person on the phone 4 months ago saying I should have called about a wrong order when it took them 1 1/2 hours to deliver the first order. Stayed away for 4 months. Came back tonite and ooooooohhhhhhh what a nite!!! Delivery was good. Order was here within 40 minutes. Order was wrong but it was here within 45 minutes. Ordered Sesame beef and got Sesame chicken for my 92 yr old mother in law. General Chao chicken for me. M-I-L say it's was The worst meal she's ever had from them and couldn't eat it. My General Chao's was barely warm but eatable. Maybe eating in the restaurant is better but can't do that with a 92 yr old M-I-L. This will be the last $$$$ Pacific Spice gets from my house. read more

A lot of the reviews here are rating pretty harshly on the service of this place. I haven't had too much of a problem with service, though I have mostly eaten here during lunch when there weren't too many people to serve. That being said, I think that the atmosphere is good and the food is pretty great for the money, but only if you go for lunch. I almost always order a lunch special, which gets you a bowl of soup, a crab rangoon, an egg roll and a good sized entree with rice for around $7-8. I would recommend the Mongolian beef and the sweet and sour soup as a combo. The Crab Rangoon is unusually good here, as well. I can see where the service may potentially have a breakdown, as the wait staff sometimes have difficulty answering questions about dishes and describing what kind of substitutions you can make with your meal. All in all, this place is a pretty good value for lunch and the food is quite good. read more

This was our first time eating here after finding out our regular chinese restaurant was closed. We ordered enough food for our whole family and every single one of us was disappointed. My sesame chicken had absolutely no flavor and the chicken was chewy. The $11 ahi tuna poke was more than half cucumber. The vegetable tempura pieces were extremely small and the tempura batter was soggy. The rice tasted like it was straight out of a freezer. I love thai tea and have never disliked any that I have tried. This one tasted like sour milk almost like it had alcohol in it, but it didn't. We called to ask for a possible refund, the manger kept speaking over us. We brought all the uneaten food in and the manger was saying how he has had hundreds of customers loving his food, which is great for them but as a customer it should always be important that every individual customer is happy. After reading these reviews I know I'm not the only one who was unhappy. My dad was very calm when explaining to him that we not satisfied he starting raising his voice and yelling. Eventually he gave us a refund for what we didn't eat. This will be our first AND last time ever coming here again. Don't waste your time and money. read more

We come here all the time. I personally love it. I love their massaman curry with tofu, I love their sesame tofu, their spring rolls, miso soup and their vegetable sushi rolls. The only thing I have had here that I didn't care for was some noodle dish (pad see ew i think). It just lacked flavor altogether.
