I'll be bringing my other cars here to get music installed in the future. I stopped by on a Saturday to consult and was greeted immediately by Amin (sp?). Amin and I connected instantly, he was approachable, patient, and he took his time explaining his answers to me. Most importantly, he didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need or want and he didn't talk down about any particular speaker brand. Very cool guy and wasn't pushy at all!! I instantly scheduled an appointment. I called a few times during the week because I couldn't make up my mind.... Amin still was patient and did not seem annoyed by an indecisive customer (me). The next Saturday, I left Pacific Stereo with my music slappin'. I went with Amin's "recommendation", and I am sure glad I did! The technicians (they know what they're doing) built a customized ported subwoofer box built to the subwoofer's specifications and tuned my JL Audio amps perfect. Since my husband Cleveland does not have a Yelp account I am posting this on his behalf. I've been a customer of Pacific Stereo for nearly a decade. During that time, I've spent well over $40,000 with this shop, referred multiple friends and family members, and trusted them with installs on more than six vehicles and even my motorcycle. If that's not loyalty, I don't know what is. Unfortunately, that loyalty was never returned. Over the years, I started noticing a pattern -- used or recycled equipment being passed off as "custom" products, including subwoofer boxes that clearly looked like they had already been installed in someone else's vehicle. On top of that, they repeatedly sold underpowered amplifiers for the speaker setups they recommended, leaving systems performing nowhere near their potential. The worst part is the customer service and honesty. Vehicles were constantly kept far longer than promised with little communication or urgency. Once they have your money, getting answers or accountability becomes a struggle. I was also told multiple things that turned out to be completely false: "Lifetime warranty" on wiring? Not true. "We'll always take back Kicker speakers if there's an issue"? Not true. Moe, in particular, comes across as someone far more interested in closing deals and collecting payments than actually making sure customers leave satisfied. That may work for first-time buyers, but long-term customers eventually see through it. This business does not prioritize loyalty, customer satisfaction, or transparency. They prioritize money. After spending tens of thousands of dollars there over the years, I can honestly say I would never recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest service or quality long-term support. I came in to have my media center/ climate control checked out on my truck because they are an authorized installer for that Linkswell unit. My heater was stuck on low and I couldn't increase , decrease or turn it off. They charged me $125 and by the time I got the truck back, it was blowing constant heat on high without the ability to control it still. So now, after about 5 minutes when it gets too hot and I have to drive with the windows down. Can't hear anything on phone calls and just not an ideal drive. And even I close the vents, it just heats up the media center and makes the screen blurry making everything unu Anyway, they then said they could sell me new parts and the cost to install them. If they couldn't fix the issue and I was charged $125 for a diagnostic fee, fine. Wouldn't have been great but oh well. But I paid $125 for it to get significantly worse.. read more

BEWARE!!! . These guys will try to rip you off if they can. I just had a situation where I was told I needed to pay $150 to reprogram my alarm that they installed when in fact I did not. It just needed a slight adjustment which took five seconds after I figured it out. I would suggest never using this place unless you are someone familiar with cars and alarms and stereos to make sure they don't tell you something that's not true like they did with me today. read more

I was stuck with a dash cam that was quite annoying and not easy to pull footage from if needed. When I mentioned it to Amin he immediately came up with a solution to my problem offering me a replacement. Amin recommended a 3 way Nexus 4 Pro dash cam with a user friendly interface and app. After installation was completed Amin helped me step-by-step to download an app, paired the dash cam with my phone and showed how to navigate the app. Great product, wonderful service! read more

Amin is great to work with. He listens to you and works with your budget and needs. He gave me a good deal for replacing the head unit with steering controls and add backup camera on my 2006 Toyota Camry before the holidays. When I went back to install towards the end of January, he still remembered me and honored the deal. While we were at it, I also got the key fob for remote lock/unlock for a good price. After getting an Apple CarPlay Alpine ILX-507 system installed in my car, the GPS started to go wonky after a couple of months. GPS kept giving me wrong directions, not honing in on my geographic position accurately. This is apparently a known issue if you look across the internet with similar Apple CarPlay complaints, so I tried to troubleshoot with software updates, reset and update my phone, reset and software update the Alpine system, etc, but nothing would stay working with the GPS, even after some initial success of it working again. Another few months later, after MAJOR procrastinating, I finally called up Mo at Pacific Stereo. He easily remembered me, was so friendly and accommodating and scheduled me in quickly. Got the situation fixed quickly through his service professional, who was awesome to deal with. He kept test driving the car with me, operating the GPS and maps from his own phone first. I *think* he must've reset everything in the system too, and we tinkered with my phone and updated it as well, and so far the GPS works great. There was also a problem with a lack of charging power coming off one of the main connecting wires from the Alpine system. I found out it wasn't charging because another attached USB-C connecting wire was defective and also scrunched up too tightly inside the center console, when connected to the Alpine main USB wire. It had been installed that way by the previous service professional some months ago. Unfortunately, the plastic housing on the main USB Alpine wire got a little bent around the edges as a result, and I assumed it happened from also being scrunched up too tightly inside the console - but the power coming from it has not been affected so far, thankfully. After the defective USB-C connecting wire was removed and the main USB wire was repositioned outside the console, everything has been powering fine. I attached a new USB-C wire (that's compatible with my iPhone 15) and it also works great. My only concern is that the slight damage to the plastic housing of the main wire USB port doesn't create a problem and therefore an extra cost for me to have to switch out. Because the GPS issue was simply a software issue that was successfully troubleshooted, Mo could've charged me for the troubleshooting time, but he didn't. Truly appreciated that! They provide great customer service and follow up, especially if something goes wrong after install. Still highly recommend! read more

I went back to Pacific Stereo and the team helped me find new and improved equipment that brought new life to my original speakers. Horrible service ! Came here to do a full sound system on my truck they charged me 2800 for everything , they promised good work and to have vehicle ready by the next day , they called me to say they didn't finish and that they needed another day . Messy work they had cables everywhere didn't even take the time to hide cables or make them look neat at least . After a couple weeks had to come back because audio started failing , rear door speakers went out , said they fixed the problem but a week after they went out again !! I bought a stereo online, that I've researched and I know is a good stereo. I also knew that it is compatible with my vehicle. I reached out to Pacific stereo to buy a harness and then figured I'll just let them install it for me. I asked Beforehand if they can install it, and was guaranteed that it's definitely something that they can do. "They do it all the time." I specified that I wanted to keep my steering wheel control and add a back of cam. The guy said "no problem bring it in". Came in, payed deposit and scheduled installed for the next day. On the way there on Saturday morning, I figured it would be a good idea to go ahead and upgrade speakers. So I added that. What should've been a four hour job. Ended up taking all day. Dropped off my vehicle at 10 am picked it up at 6:30 PM. Before picking it up, I got a call from Amin, complaining that the stereo was crap and that they never work contrary to what I already known to be not true. I gave him the benefit of the doubt though. I was supposed to have a steering wheel control module installed for our steering wheel controls. They told me that it was installed, but it wasn't compatible with my stereo and offered me store credit for it, rather than returning and refunding. I let it slide, thinking that I will figure it out on my own. Upon my own investigation, I found out that that module was never installed behind my deck, I also asked to make sure that the system was properly installed securely with the dash kit, and it wasn't. They wedged my stereo into a non-fitting dash kit and wrapped it with electrical tape and shoved it into my dash. Is that what you call professional installation? Gave them a couple days and finally reached out today on Tuesday to talk about my concerns and requested a refund for the portion that I got charged for that they did not deliver, And was denied. I spent too much time waiting for my vehicle on Saturday already. They're expecting me to go out of my way to drop off my vehicle again so that they can attempt to reinstall the stereo. Why wasn't it done right the first time? This is extremely inconvenient and I have no confidence or trust and anything that they can do so I would rather just a refund for the portion that wasn't delivered. Denied. Extremely disappointed. They whole time Amin's solution is return that and buy one from him that would work. Bait and switch. Buyer beware. Not to mention all the plastic trim pieces for the interior of the car weren't put in right I had to request for them to do that at the end of the night and waited another half an hour. Follow up 2/5/24: Also got water leak in my van now after the work that they supposedly did. They never reinstalled the gaskets for the rear door when installing the back up cam. I had to reinstall it myself right now after my roof liner is stained now with water. STAY AWAY! read more

Over all great tint quality. Idk the average life span of tinted windows but mine faded and started to bubble within 4-5 years. ALSO, I was excited about the chance to redo my tint with the lifetime warranty. I knew this would eventually need to be done so why not go to pacific stereo -- $250 didn't seem too bad for the look I wanted. My tints started "bubbling" after 4 years as expected so I called to see how I can get them redone. Since they didn't have my phone number on file (I never changed it) I couldn't get my windows redone or tints removed without a charge. Even with my plate number they couldn't remove it or prove I received the tints there. Anyone know where I can get my tinted windows removed for a decent price lol read more

I was recommended this place and they charged me $400 for a $120 radio. Labor should not have been that much. They said they were waiting for a custom part to install my radio but the day they said it was ready, I came to the shop and they were sitting there making a piece themselves. We have been going to these guys for over a decade. I don't know what happened but DO NOT TRUST THEM. Without Maz, they've lost their sense of what customer service is. We had our windows tinted years ago and paid for lifetime warranty. They initially did a great job but when we took the car back to fix the bubbling tint. They said everything would be taken care of. (We had to drive the car across the country the following day so we weren't able to check if everything was done properly). One window was not even touched. I've called the owner (Mo) multiple times and all he does is blame the "contracted" window tinter (I call BS). I asked him what I'm supposed to do now and all he says is "I don't know". This has become dishonest company who points fingers at their own employees and provide zero resolution. I do not suggest giving them any business if you want an honest service done. read more

Not the best install experience I have ever had... I walked in as I was getting my car worked on in the same parking lot. I had a car camera that I wanted installed and I was quoted or more appropriately estimated 1.5 hours of work for the very next day. I am a healthcare worker so had to get to work for an evening shift, needed my car back by NOON, which I stated when making the appointment for the next day. I dropped my car off at 9am on the dot. Come NOON I still had not received a call or any update on my vehicle. I arrived at the shop and my car was still being worked on. The Manager walked back and made it look like he was pushing them to get it done already. I was charged for 2hrs which I don't think was appropriate or fair... and here is why. 1. I thought it was wrong and even stated as such but the Manager wouldn't hear it any other way. I said you have had my car for 4 hours and its still not done when I walk in the door.. 2. when I was getting my keys the tech drove the car around to the front handed me my keys and started walking off no conversation no nothing.. I said um excuse me.. are you going to give me any feedback or instruction.. or ANYTHING at all? (maybe even a smile and have a nice day.. just a thought) . He said no you have a new model camera so I don't know and he just walked off. For those 2 reasons alone I think I should have only been charged the original price of 1.5 hours. I shouldn't be charged because the staff don't know what they are doing. Also a definite amp up on the customer service and friendliness is very much in order. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to this store nor do I recommend to others. Drive the extra 20mts and find a more well rounded location that is more customer centric. ** the install itself seems to be working well enough.
