I found myself barely send my clothes to cleaners but some good stuffs you love and need to be well taken care of, Andy and Taryn didn't disappoint me. First they are reasonable price, Secondly they are really sincere when it possibly will be done with explanation. Beside the homey decoration I like, i found a super cute beanie and unique scarf at their boutique side. No one will get the same stuff with me in the city cuz they import it themselves:) The most important thing is their hospitality, They are way more than I ever expect. My partner and I have been using this place for the past year and a half for their wash & fold service and it's been fantastic. They are extremely friendly and text you when your stuff is ready to be picked up. Once, we had included a blanket that our cats sleep on a lot and they texted us saying it'll take a bit longer than usual because they are running the blanket through multiple times to properly clean it. I'm so bummed. I had been going to Pacific View Cleaners for the past year for dry cleaning, hemming and other alternations. Last week, I brought in a pair of hudson jeans that had some issues on the seam. I had asked if they could apply a patch on the inside of the jeans to reinforce the seam. I picked up the jeans this past Saturday and just put them on for the first time today. Well, they didn't apply any sort of patch at all...as a matter of fact...they did nothing and charged me $10 for zero work. Gasp! :( So disappointed! read more

love, love, love this place ^__^ the prices are way cheaper than other places and the service is excellent. they stay opened until 7pm (iirc) so i don't have to leave the office extra early just to get my clothes. one thing i thought was pretty good about this place was that they salvaged a merino wool sweater that my bf effed up. he washed it in hot water and put it in the dryer by accident. so you can imagine how rough the fabric was afterwards(surprisingly, it didn't shrink). after my sweater came back from the cleaners, it was much better. not like new but at least i can wear it without my skin feeling irritated. read more

I want to honestly share how incredible I think Pacific View Cleaners is! I have been going since about 2011, and the person I look forward to seeing each and every time I visit is Golf. She is EXCEPTIONAL in her customer service, and she is the reason that Pacific View Cleaners is the only dry cleaning service that I will go to! Each and every time I go, I feel that Golf is completely honest with me, explaining very clearly what her best recommendations are for for the clothes I bring in. If I have any questions, she listens so well to what they are, and she really pays attention to any concerns I have. I feel that Golf listens to me and works with me to make sure that they are addressed to my satisfaction. I feel that she really wants to make sure that I'm getting what I want. And if something can't be done, she'll tell me honestly. I know that people including me regard their clothes as all important things- and it's true, dressing is very important, style is important, and we all want the look, the cut, the alterations, and the clean of our clothes to be as close to what we want as possible. BUT... I think it's equally important for people to be reasonable in understanding that there are limits to what can and can't be done. I have personally messed up so many items of my own clothes because of my carelessness. I have brought each of them in to Golf and explained what I did and asked what could possibly be done. Golf is always honest, and clear in her recommendations. She is also extremely knowledgeable!!!! She is an expert in this! And I have come to trust her judgement. She has never disappointed me! Golf is such a kind person, a truly wonderful good person with a huge heart! So please, if you go, please treat her with kindness, and I GUARANTEE you, you will be treated with the best service in return. I came to this place after reading the rave reviews here on yelp, hopefully I had a one-off experience but I'm inclined to write about it nonetheless. I went in with a decently nice AX blazer with carry bag, and got it back with just the blazer on a POS hanger. After asking about getting back everything I came in with, they said they can't find it and would call me back later. So I'm thinking that's fine, as long as they figure it out and get it back to me somehow. Then, after getting home and taking a look at my blazer, I see lint everywhere, splotches of dust and whatnot in other places, and just a terrible job dry-cleaning in general. I am pained to write this because the staff there (Golf) is so super nice. The problem is that "nice" is irrelevant when it comes to alterations. I took my wedding dress here to be altered--it was too short and about 3 sizes too big on top. I learned that the seamstress is located off site and since she doesn't speak English she only gets the translated version from the store staff. To mark where the dress needed to be changed, the staff used safety pins on my luxury taffeta dress. Safety pins. So my dress had permanent little holes in various places. Also, the seamstress, even though she's never actually seen me in the dress, took it upon herself to decide that the length was too short. Se even though the staff person who measured me (who clearly has very little knowledge about tailoring or alterations) gave her the measurements, the seamstress decided that the dress needed to be longer. So when I got it back it was way, way too long and needed to go back again. The top was also still too big, I'm guessing because at the end of the day the in-store staff is simply guesstimating how many inches need to be taken in rather than actually measuring. I'm sure this place is great for dry cleaning, but I will never come back for alterations. In fact, I will never go anywhere again where the actual seamstress who is doing the alterations is not also taking the measurements. read more

So, it's 8am on the day before my brother's wedding. I look at the dress I'm wearing -- my bridesmaid's dress -- and realize it really needed to be steam-pressed. It had gotten pretty wrinkled when the seamstress altered it, and doing the whole "steaming it while showering" just wasn't going to get those wrinkles out. However, I'm leaving the City in a few hours to travel for the wedding, so I don't have a lot of time to get the steam-pressing done. Where do I go? I take a quick look on Yelp and find Pacific View Cleaners, which is near my house. I high-tail it over there, and I meet Andy. I tell him my situation, and he happily tells me he can have the dress steam-pressed and ready for me to pick up by noon, when I'm supposed to leave the City. Perfect! Sure enough, I come back a few hours later, and there's my dress, perfectly pressed and looking wedding photo ready. Andy did an awesome job in a very short period of time. I was a brand new customer, and he totally helped me out right away. I'm definitely taking the rest of my dry cleaning business back to Pacific View. read more

I've been using Pacific View Cleaners' laundry delivery service for 6 months now, doing Tuesday pickups and Thursday dropoffs. I looked hard to find a good local solution after my building removed our washer/dryer, Washio turned out to be really disappointing and I realized that it would be nice to work with just one laundry place. Tai (sp?), who does pickups, is so positive! I always look forward to seeing her. Here's a couple examples of the level of care I get with PVC: * When I requested unscented detergent, Tai texted me a picture of the detergent bottle so that I could approve--so thoughtful! * Laundry come back separated by item type and person (one bag for me and one for my partner)--I didn't even request this and it is so nice. With PVC, I can relax! read more

Pacific View Cleaners are very nice, very well-intentioned, and offer very good customer service. For everyday cleaning needs, they are probably fine. But, for more exotic items like bespoke or couture clothing, I would not recommend them. I took them four made-to-measure dress shirts to be cleaned, pressed, and starched. The shirts came back, with unseemly, wrinkly creases pressed into the cuffs and collars. I showed them this and they didn't hesitate to wash and repress the shirts, but again they had the same problem, albeit much less pronounced. The bottom line is, I don't think they know how to handle unfused cotton shirts (which are a staple of many luxury brands and custom shirt-makers). My advise, if you know what unfused cotton collars or canvased linings are, you probably own clothing that this particular cleaners isn't equipped to handle. That said, for items like jeans, ties, down comforters, and winter coats, I'd still us Pacific View Cleaners. read more

After my long-time cleaners retired, I tried other places in the outer Richmond, the last place breaking all the buttons on my husband's dress shirts. Thank goodness I found Pacific View! The service is excellent. I take my husband's shirts in regularly (he is in a profession that dictates shirt and tie apparel), and have also had several things dry cleaned and altered perfectly. They continue to do an excellent job at amazingly reasonable prices. Are u kidding me? I can't (and won't) wash and iron and hang dress shirts on hangers for around $2.00 each. These guys are horrible. I came in on a Saturday, and asked them to dry clean a jacket that a friend of mine threw up on. At first they seemed very reasonable and said, not a big deal, I'll get it back in a few days. To my surprise a few days later when I came back to pick up the shirt they hadn't done anything with it yet. When I asked why they said they couldn't clean it because it was too dirty... 1) Why didn't they tell me this when I was dropping it off 2) They're cleaners, they're suppose to clean something that's dirty, why would I use them if I don't need something dirty cleaned 3) Why didn't they give me a call instead of letting it sit there for a whole week, now the puke stain is completely soaked in and jacket is ruined Would never use them again, just be careful when you use them in the future, and make sure they don't ruin your stuff read more

I hate ironing but love cotton shirts. This is a dilemma because I will buy shirts from Gap and Banana Republic, for example, wear them a few times, wash them, and then... will never wear them again unless some fleeting urge to iron comes over me. I tried taking my shirts to the cleaners before, but it was just too expensive - I felt guilty asking someone to do what I knew I could do if I just wasn't so lazy/busy/full of excuses. Well, it got to the point that I had a dozen clean, un-ironed shirts hanging in the closet and, basically, nothing to wear. Yelp reviews led me to Pacific View Cleaners. This business has the best customer service I have found in SF. The lady that runs the show has that balance of professionalism and friendly, personable hometown take-care-of-you attitude that makes this business a standout in SF. The wash and fold is perfectly folded and neat. I asked them not to roll my socks because I feel that stretches them and they still paired them up perfectly (I have a few different styles/brands of socks and they matched them). You can send them a text and they will come to your address and pick up your laundry and drop it off for free if it is over a small minimum--and they text me when they are on the way to remind me! I won't ever take anything back here again. I came here because of the good reviews to get a bridesmaid dress altered. Well, that changed pretty fast. The review about them not using measuring tape is right. They used safety pins for the hem and eyeballed how many inches they thought should be taken off the straps. After they did that, the hem was uneven and I requested to take out the bust a little bit. They didn't even measure that, just guessed how much more to loosen it. They kept the dress and it wasn't ready when they said it would be and the wedding was fast approaching. They asked me to call back to check on it (what? I had to call everyday to check??) and for a few days they couldn't give me a date of when it would be ready. Talk about stressful when you have to be in a wedding in a few days and it's already been three weeks that they have had the dress! When it was finally ready, I picked it up and the hem was still not correct. It was a little longer on one side but I was so frustrated by then and didn't have any time left to leave it with them (and wouldn't have trusted them with it). The bust was barely taken out and because they took it out, the straps should have been adjusted but never were. It's true that someone works off site that they send it to and they don't use measuring tape. They are very nice ladies, but that's not enough when you have a $200 dress that needs altering and they don't do it right. They gave me a 15% off discount but that was hardly enough. Especially since the day of the wedding I was stepping on the longer part. It's not worth the time or stress or few dollars less to take it here. Really disappointed in this place. read more

After receiving two pair of slacks back that they had clearly shrunk but denied such a thing was even possible, Pacific View has now completely ruined a silk top and refuses to take responsibility and tried to blame it on me. When I went to pick up the dry cleaning which included the top, I was told that they had sent the top back because of a stain that happened 'due to the dry cleaning process.' Any honesty ended that day. I was told they would call me when it was back. They didn't. I called, texted and/or stopped in several times as they began to completely ignore me. Then I got into a text exchange where I was told they couldn't get the stain out but that it was there when I brought it in and was 'a sweat stain', like you'd see on the armpits of a top. I went in and was shown the top - which no longer felt like silk and there was basically a stain that looked like a burn in the middle of the back of the top. Don't lie. It's that simple. Just don't lie. Admit, as you did before you tried to back-track, that it happened on your end, then do something about it to compensate me for completely ruining my clothing. To date, they continue to ignore my requests for something in the form of compensation after, you might have guessed it, telling me they would get back to me. Do not go here if you care for your clothing and do not wish to give business to dishonest business people. read more

Fabulous, fabulous!!! My niece had to have her prom dress hemmed, which I only found out about on Sunday when we were shopping for shoes & accessories for her. PANIC TIME . . . I checked Yelp, and on Monday, I called and took her and her dress (and shoes!) over to Pacific View Cleaners. Andy was SUPER helpful, and he assured me the dress would be ready for her to try on Thursday (leaving enough time for any last minute alteration, if necessary). We got it, it was PERFECT, and came out less than the estimate. (We weren't going to quibble about prices, since it was so last minute. We -- her mother and myself -- were SO happy and grateful that they were able to do this for us!) (Also, it is conveniently located close to my niece's high school.) Andy is a treasure!
