Stay away from this company! They installed a large wall mirror (un-framed) above a double sink bathroom vanity. They had the bottom 'j' channel bracket sitting on top of the tile back splash. A year later the mirror started to slide away from the wall. Upon investigation I found: a. Pacifica installed an inadequate 1/8" mirror. I learned from other glass companies it should have been a 1/4" mirror as the 1/8" tends to flex and is used for smaller frame mounted mirrors. b. They didn't use any adhesive to attach the mirror to the wall and the 'j' channel bracket was not attached to the wall, so it stated to slip out from the bottom. I wish I had looked at the reviews (numerous 1 star) before I hired them. I had Advance Glass & Mirror, a great company, install a new mirror the correct way. See my review on them. read more

We ordered custom glass here for some doors. We made templates and the glass came back larger than the templates, even though we told them it couldn't be larger because that is the actual size of the opening. So the owner sent the glass and templates back to her manufacturer to have remade. When we went to pick up the new glass it was clearly bigger than our templates AGAIN. Obviously they didn't even check to make sure it was correct before calling us to pick it up. To top it off, she refused to send it back again, stating that she knows they won't redo them for her again. She said it was too hard to do off of carboard templates anyway and we should have made wood templates instead. Well she never said that when we brought in the templates in the first place! She also told my husband how their manufacturer has gone down hill, well then find another one! We own a fabrication shop and these templates were done meticulously. We make high quality products from cardboard templates all the time. We told her we either needed to have the glass done correctly or get our money back and she got very rude and refused BOTH! What?!! I, as a business owner for over 25 years, know that we all make mistakes. There have been times when we have made something incorrectly, but we will keep doing it until it's right, and if we can't, of course we are going to give them therir money back. Awesome service and pricing. I called around and PGC is by far the most affordable. My wife and I bought a new home with a window that had its sash's panes broken. This was something I was going to attempt to replace myself but I didn't know where I could find some low e glass. I said screw it and called around. One guy wanted to charge me $300 to come by, do an estimate, order the glass, and then install it. Not knowing any better, I thought that price must be right. Until I called PGC. Ms. Mary Jane was super helpful all the way. Plus she gave me a quote that o had to hustle my ass down there to make sure she couldn't change her mind. The panes ended costing me just a little over 1/3 of what the other people were going to charge me. Mind you, it helped because I was able to remove the sash and bring it to them. It took about 4 days for completion and we couldn't be more satisfied and happier with Ms. Mary Jane and PGC. I needed to have three screens re-screened. One for a giant sliding glass door, a big window and a smaller window. Off to Pacifica Glass I went as a friend referred me to them. I was greeted by Chelsea who took the measurements of the frames and wrote up the work order. I brought my own screen that I had left over from the original screening. Chelsea advised that it would take one, maybe two days. I received a call the following day that they were ready. I picked them up and they looked excellent. Like brand new. Very professional, quality work. I would definitely recommend Pacifica Glass. Not just for screens. They do almost anything and everything glass related. Called this company earlier this week for a "free" quote - as advertised. I spoke with Chris. Chris was initially helpful and requested photographs of my project and measurements. I put together an email with all of the details he requested, and then waited days for a return email or contact; to no avail. I had to reach out to him today to finally get him to call me back. I always hate to beg for a quote as I know this will mean $$$$$. Chris rather promptly reminded me that I do not live within their service area. We progressively began to argue back-and-forth about how his company's website clearly states that they "service all of the County of San Diego" - yeah. . . No. He went on and on about how they don't actually do so, and how they don't have any employees to work for them; typical COVID smoke and mirrors. He told me I'd have to hire a guy to come out and measure, and then he'd quote to do the work later - yeah. . . No. Absurd!! He was borderline rude and was argumentative and interruptive. He told me he could send me a quote anyways - just for the glass products; much to my surprise - not - he never did. . . I used Yelp after I hung up and the first alternative company I called jumped all over this project and is sending someone out this weekend to do measurements - FOR FREE!!! The timely response and servied to repair my living-room single-hung window was excellent! But I had to give only 4 stars because confirming/scheduling did not go smoothly. I was emailed asked if the 12-3 PM window (no pun intended) of time was okay on a given day. I emailed back asking if we could change the time. I didn't hear back. Two days later, I emailed again. The next Monday by 10:38 AM I still didn't hear back to see if a different time would work. So I phoned. I was told they had me on the schedule for that day. Although I didn't get a direct answer as to why my emails requesting a different time were not responded to, I did get genuine apologies and was told sometimes they respond by phone. I asked, then wouldn't they hear back by phone? I was told if they don't hear back to confirm the time, then they keep that person on the schedule anyway and call the client first thing in the AM to say they are coming out. But no one phoned me. Life is busy, I had other things going on; I had forgotten---since I wanted a different day and time---that they had even scheduled me for today. I was merely calling to see if they could schedule me for a different day and time and found out they had kept me on the schedule for today. I kept the appointment anyway to get it all over with. But again, the installer was great, nice, did excellent work. read more

The first time we gave them a call was back in 2015 to see if they could give us an estimate to replace an oddly-dimensioned screen that didn't quite fit the window it was in (previous owner of our home was a general contractor who made some strange choices when remodeling the house, but that's a story for another day...). They sent out Ken a day or two after we called. He took some measurements for the screen and gave us a totally reasonable estimate; he took a few other measurements and went back to Pacifica to create a new screen. He came back a couple of days later to install the new screen. Unbeknownst to us, he'd also taken measurements for another screen (small, but also oddly-dimensioned) and replaced that one for no charge. We've gone with them ever since, and they've always exceeded expectations. They're an excellent (and family-owned) company: their pricing is reasonable; their customer service is professional; and their technicians are efficient and punctual. Well I am very disappointed in this company. We had to have our glass front redone due to someone driving into our storefront. The contractor we used (that hired this company) went MIA after all the work was done. The door that was installed was not installed properly and when I tried to get a hold of the contractor, I could not. I had no idea who did the install of the store front. Fast forward a couple years. I ran into someone who used to work for the contractor during that time and I asked him for info. He gave me the number for this company. I called immediately and spoke to someone and explained the situation. They sent someone out to inspect. Great!!! He said that the door wasn't installed correctly and that it needed to be lifted. Also mentioned the threshold was too high and should not have been installed as is. He left. I got a quote about a week later for appx. $900 to fix it . Fix the bad work they did!!! Unbelievable. Very shotty work. I wrote back asking them to send me instructions on how to adjust the door myself and they are ghosting me at this point!!! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I do not normally leave reviews on Yelp but people need to know about what they might expect here. If you are considering these guys please take the time to read this. I had just finished a complete remodel of both our master and spare bathroom in August 2018. All we needed was shower glass to finish, so I got a quote from Pacifica Glass. I had to help them get their drawing right because they had a full panel where I had a pony wall (I should have listened to my gut at this point). Due to the high cost we had to put the glass on hold until we could save up enough to afford it. I was ready to move forward in January 2019, so I got back in touch and decided to have them come out and re-measure. Due to the length of time in between, I wanted to be absolutely sure we had everything correct and ready to go. They came out in February and I heard nothing for a week. I had to reach out to them to get the ball rolling. After finally getting a quote I try to setup the install, only to find out their manufacturer doesn't make the panel that I need for the spare bathroom. I am getting a pretty irritated at this point but I decide to at least get the master glass installed while we figure out the rest. They finally come out for the install, I review things with the installers who were really nice guys and I work on chores around the house while they did their thing. They came and got me when they were done and my jaw dropped when I saw the height of the glass. It was hardly above eye level for me, this was not what I had ordered. I wasn't sure how this happened but rather than argue with the installer I decide to go back through my emails and see how this mistake could have happened. I figured out that they had flip flopped the height measurements for the master and spare. I got a hold of them right away so that they didn't do the same thing with the spare bath glass. This company was aware they had just messed up the install, yet it takes me a week to hear anything. I ask to speak with a manager at this point and literally had to plead my case with her. She made it seem like it was my fault for this happening, which was absolutely ridiculous. On top of the height being a foot low, the swinging panel was installed crooked so there was a larger gap at the bottom than the top and the screws holding the hinges to my wall were put in at an angle so they screw heads were not sitting flush. She asked me to send her pictures and she would get back to me. I send her a few emails asking for an update and hear nothing for a week. Her response back was that she didn't remember what job this was for and needed to be reminded, so I remind her and hear nothing back. It takes me reaching out to the original person I was working with to be informed that they are going to re make the glass for me. I schedule another appointment to have both of the showers installed. Finally the day arrives when I can be done with this. I take the time off work again. I get a phone call 30 minutes before the install and am informed that the spare bath glass did not get notched like it was supposed be... I couldn't make this up if I tried. I tell the installer to hold off and get it figured out rather than just re-installing the master glass. More back and fourth through emails and I finally get a new installation appointment which at this point is 2 MONTHS after they originally messed up. The master glass height was correct and they installed it flush this time. Due to the original incorrect height, they had to move the hinge further up the wall, so I am left with 4 holes where the hinge was in my brand new custom shower that had just been remodeled. The plastic seal on the wall for my spare bath fell off after one day and there is a gap between the lower seal and tub, so water leaks out and spills on my floor after every shower. I get a phone call a week later from the billing department. $3,000 plus dollars and I inform her of the issues with the water leaking, she says she will contact the installer and fix the issue. As expected, I hear nothing back. Customer service is generally an important aspect of owning a business. Pacifica Glass showed me the worst I have ever experienced. After everything I went through it is insane that the manager would not follow up and make sure I was fully satisfied. The end result is I paid a lot of money to be left with holes in my brand new shower wall and a shower that leaks. Nobody should have to deal with this. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! THIS COMPANY HAS NO CLUE HOW TO PROPERLY SEAL WINDOWS. We had Pacifica glass install windows eight years ago. As any San Diegan knows, we rarely get heavy rain. But each time we do, we have had at least one of our windows leak. (We had 10 custom windows installed by another company 15 years ago and have never had a problem.) With today's rain, Dec. 14, 2021, we have our kitchen window leaking in two spots; the upper left corner leak has soaked a large bath towel in less than 30 minutes and the top middle leak is dripping heavily and we have a placed a plastic container below it to catch all the water. This is the third time we have had a major leak in the kitchen window. Our dining room window is also leaking and will require several towels to keep the water off our wood floors. In the past, we have had our bedroom and two side window leak as well. Can't express how disappointed we are that we chose this company to replace our windows. Pacifica Glass rescheduled my shower door installation 3 times and denied a requested $100 discount, for my inconvenience, on a $2100 job (2 shower door installations). Where's the loyalty, here? I was a (formerly happy) returning client with good behavior: I previously never asked for discounts, never rescheduled appointments, and never complained. After the 3rd reschedule for my shower door installation (because Pacifica had a "big storefront job" going on), I asked for a $100 inconvenience discount and was politely told, "sorry, the owner says, sometimes these things happen." You take over two weeks just to get me a quote after I have to pester you with four phone calls just trying to get the quote, then tell me I have to wait another two weeks for installation then demean me by informing me I have the right to use other vendors (like I need you to tell me that). I had Pacific Glass do an install in my bathroom for a steam shower. They were prompt , the installation people were really good and easy to communicate with. They never missed a deadline and i was always treated well , both on the phone and via email. I asked them to remove a plastic border piece after a few weeks and they came back no questions and did it for me. They mentioned i may not want to do it but i insisted. About a year later i wanted to gaskets ( i guess thats what i will call them ) so i called their office and was scheduled for the next week. Again they showed up all smile , did quick clean work , no fuss. Good work , clean execution , solid customer service. Huge mistake going here for simple glass replacement in frames I brought in. They quoted $95.00. When I came to pick up it was $183.0. I forgot that they sell glass at Orchard supply. It takes no skill to put it in frame. If it took more than 15 minutes to put in they aren't qualified. read more

We had 12 windows & a slider installed. Our experience with Pacifica Glass was great. From the initial quote by John, to the back and forth with the office staff, to the three day installation by the team led by Rodney & John, accompanied by Raul and Michael, all went well. The men were a joy to have in our home, very respectful of our needs and were very professional and worked in a timely manner. They took down and replaced our vertical blind hardware which was not offered by other companies. Rodney did the final walk through as if it were his own home. After waiting 5 days and still no quote I called. I was given the runaround and told multiple times they would give me a call back. I would give less than one star but unfortunately I do not have that option. I contacted Pacifica Glass Company on April 2, 2017 to get an estimate on two frameless shower doors and a wall mirror. Their guy came out and took all the measurements on April 4, 2017. I received a bid on April 6, 2017 for 2,937 dollars this was for a 42 1/4 x 72 frameless shower enclosure ($1,113) a 58 1/2 x 72 frameless shower enclosure($1,174) and a 82 1/2 x 56 1/4 wall mirror ($650). I accepted the bid and the installer came out April 21, 2017 to do the work. I was not home when the work was done but a family member was. I received a call from the installer later that evening telling me that he had incorrectly measured both the wall mirror and the 42 1/4 x 72 shower enclosure. Regardless of his incorrect measurement for the mirror, he chose to install it anyway leaving an inch difference. He chose to make up the difference with a plastic bar resembling a nickel finish. The incorrect shower door would have to be reordered. I contacted the company the following day letting them know this was unacceptable and the mirror would have to be replaced. I was told by the office that they would send someone to install the shower doors with the correct measurement and "will have someone who really knows what they are doing" to come out May 8, 2017 to re measure the wall mirror. On May 1, 2017, their guy came out, the same one who had done the original measurements to install the shower door. Again, it was measured incorrectly!! The stationary piece of glass was too big and did not fit. They did however install the hinged glass door. Installing the hinged door put me at a disadvantage. At this point I am fed up with this company and their inept workers. I was afraid to contact someone else to do the work because they had already drilled hinges into my extremely expensive tile. If I contacted someone else, I would have to remove their work. This may have caused further damage to my tiles and cost me more time and money. Against my better judgement, I chose to continue with Pacifica Glass. May 8, 2017, the "guy who really knows what he is doing" came to re measure my wall mirror. After, a lot of back and forth with them trying to convince me to switch to a flat finish rather than the bevel due to the bevel would cause some type of glare. I chose to stick with the bevel finish and they were to come and install the shower door and wall mirror May 22, 2017. I had to cancel and the earliest they could come was June 20, 2017. I made it very clear that I wanted everything done June 20, 2017. I was assured everything would be. The "guy who really knows what he is doing showed up with a coworker. I immediately asked, "you guys are installing the mirror and shower doors correct?" They said they only thought they were installing the mirror. They called the office and someone had to bring the shower door that needed to be installed. A job that was supposed to be done April 21, 2017 was not completed until June 20, 2017. Luckily, the "guy who really knows what he is doing" really knew what he was doing. One would think a company who is asking for thousands of dollars for their work would send someone who "really knows what they are doing" in the first place? read more
