a food truck
Sue L.

When food trucks were my only option, I was grateful to have a healthier option available by way of Pacifico Charbroiled Fish. I can't say that I've really bought into the appeal of food trucks, but this one wasn't too bad. And the folks running it were friendly and kept things moving. If ever I were to visit again, I will need to remember to request lower sodium.

Got the charbroiled white fish plate and it was grilled perfectly! Came with grilled corn, cilantro lime rice (which was really flavorful so so good), and salad topped with sriracha mayo. $23 with tax - super happy with my lunch today :)

Pacifico knows how to cook their fish! I have been fed from their food truck that comes to UCLA occasionally, and I ordered the Salmon Bowl (with Garlic Noodles). There is SO much flavor and excitement in that single bowl of salmon. It was similar to a dish you'd order from a fancy restaurant that is high-quality and trustworthy. The garlic noodles burst with garlic flavors as they are supposed to, and the salmon was nicely charred on the outside and juicy on the inside. I am honestly in awe of how well they perfect their cooking. One downside is that the garlic noodles are overly buttery and creamy.

(Dined 07/01/21 TH @ 5:30pm): A cold Pacifico Mexican cerveza would go nicely with the charbroiled and fried fish coming out from this food truck! My roommate, her sister, their respective dogs, and I recently attended the official grand opening of Lawless Brewing Co. in North Hollywood, and Pacifico Charbroiled Fish Food Truck was the featured meals-on-wheels during this exciting event. Prior to these COVID-19 times, I frequently attended, worked, or volunteered at the myriad of year-around events throughout Southern California, yet this was the first time I've ever seen this road restaurant and had no choice but to try them out. I was always down for seafood with the understanding of the elevated prices that came along with that, so would this be any different!? QUICK BIO "A Southern California and Baja style charbroiled fish concept offering American comfort seafood." PURCHASE Fish & Chips ($14.25): Honestly... this was a massive portion size that needed to be seen to be believed! Served with a Texas toast-sized garlic bread and a ridiculous amount of lightly-seasoned crispy crunchy chips/fries was a ginormous fried fish that wasn't a beauty but dammit it was a beast to eat! With a lemon wedge and a side of chipotle tartar sauce, I lathered and slathered this monster then broke parts off as steam escaped that revealed moist supple fish flesh. Easily a meal for two, I showed it who's boss and engulfed the entire entree (of course I regretted it later). This was a bargain if I ever saw one that concerned seafood from a food truck https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_IvVPHk2ECSZsCkBBK2ITw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! Fish & Shrimps ($14.25): If I thought the fish & chips meal was amazing, the fish & shrimp meal topped that! Along with an equally large fried fish, it came with five jumbo fried shrimps, half the amount of chips but included a cleansing coleslaw, and the same Texas toast garlic bread. I swore this was the better deal for the same price https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=zzhG-PPZSPaBf9lvHcsVew&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! SERVICE I dealt with one individual - a jovial man who gave me a quick menu rundown, easily took my food order, and about fifteen minutes later I returned to the truck's pick-up window! Easy, efficient, and friendly - all good! PARKING (FREE) Being a food truck, they were at the beck and call wherever they were serving food. I drove us and luckily found parking in their private lot (the food truck took up several spots). Otherwise, the venue was at Lawless Brewing Co. with plenty of surrounding timed (until 6pm) residential free street parking around the entire place. Another option was to hire a driving service like a taxi, Lyft, or Uber. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your standard self-sufficient food truck with an exterior menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=wIB6LHTAzXACnTqT_T3KJg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, order and pick up windows https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=l8CcoT3XMsG_ejprF4FaAw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw --- currently no area for condiments, napkins, and utensils, no designated seating area --- and natural lighting was prevalent during the daytime while electric street and truck lighting glowed at night. There were no TVs while background music came from inside the truck https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=CiNRg2RxiY2dFkT42B6jkw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Pacifico Charbroiled Fish Food Truck was a wonderful night-out coupled with the brewery's grand opening celebration. Although they had a very limited menu which also included sodas and water, there were a few items that caught my attention and deserved a try. I was ecstatically surprised by the portion size and tastiness along with the friendly service. The prices were below food truck standards for seafood which was incredible. Heck... give them a call for your catering needs https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=TN2P5yn6YJkYfUQOWFPOEQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $29.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

Seared ahi tuna salad with vegetables and green salad. 10/10
Veronica L.

I tried the seared ahi tuna with vegetables and green salad as the sides and oh my goodness. It was so delicious and healthy! The tuna was seared to perfection and seasoned perfectly too! The vegetables were also amazing and a good sized portion! I will definitely be ordering the same! All their food looks good but if you love tuna try this one, it's definitely a good portion of tuna! The chipotle dressing they gave me was also perfect for the green salad snd to drizzle on the tuna.

Doreen M.

Loved their food! Very delish, fresh, and piping hot. I ate at their food truck when they were in Culver City. Food came out fairly fast, friendly service, and healthy too. A can't miss! I got their shrimp and salmon plate which came with rice and veggies and even the veggies were bomb! It also came with a piece of bread. Would def eat here again!

I work across the street from the food truck. I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The quality is amazing , flavors are on point , and service is delightful. Food was hot and ready in a reasonable time. Everything is made to order and each place is filled with color !! If your looking for an amazing seafood food Truck ..... PACIFICO CHARBROILED FISH is your place !!

Fish and Chips Fried Seared Ahi Tuna Plate
Jake R.

All in all, great food truck. Only reason I gave it a 4/5 was because I've had better ahi tuna from a flavor standpoint. Service was on point with the timeliness and the guy who ran the show was a beaut. Order: Seared Ahi Tuna Plate and Fish and Chips Fried. Fish & Chips: Everything about this plate was spectacular from the freshness and sauce on the coleslaw, the hot and salted fries, the charred garlic toast, and last but certainly not least the perfectly battered fish. Outstanding order and I highly recommend Seared Ahi Tuna: The first word that comes to mind is FRESH. The tuna just melted in my mouth every bite, the salad with the chipotle sauce was a great addition along with the bed of rice at the bottom that was surprisingly tasty.

This place is the real deal! Soo good! The person making the food was soo friendly and accommodating! Ending up getting the garlic pasta which normally comes with shrimp, but I substituted the shrimp with charboiled salmon! Wow! So good! I wanted something else that was different and he recommend a mahi mahi with roasted vegetables and lime, cilantro rice! The veggies were soo fresh (not frozen stuff). You could smell, taste the charboiled! They had a few other options as well that I can't wait to try! Definitely visit this place and help out the small business!

Flautas
Erik H.

Very impressed with the quality of food and the flavor. I ordered the seared ahi ahi and flautas. The shredded chicken and shrimp were flavorful and cooked to perfection, and the seared ahi ahi looked amazing (delivered to my dad so don't know how it tasted). The sauce for the flautas was yummy, and the shell was still crunchy and not bland likeI would have expected from trying other tortilla wrapped foods like tortillas. Highly recommended!

Liz H.

I am a seafood fanatic and I could say I am obsessed with Pacificos entire menu, especially their fish tacos and Salmon bowls! Portions are perfect. The fish, rice, avocado and salsa are so fresh and tasty. To top it of the Chef/team are very friendly and welcoming. I recommend them to all my family and friends. Looking forward to my next visit!

Shrimp & chicken flautas! Yummy!!
Huong B.

Tried their shrimp & chicken flautas - which are so on point!! Perfect crunch. Juicy meat inside. Nice slaw. Yummy fries. I was indifferent on the rice. But everything was so good! They are super nice as well - sweet customer service. I can't wait to try more menu items next time!

A Hidden Gem for Fresh Seafood & Family Vibes!…read more We visited Marisco Corona as a party of six--four adults and two toddlers (under 3)--and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Despite it being a busy spot, we were seated right away, which is a huge plus when you have little ones in tow! The Drinks & Starters We started with the Horchata and the Pineapple Water (Agua de Piña). Both were refreshing, authentic, and clearly made with care. If you like traditional Mexican drinks, these are a must-try. The Food Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and felt incredibly fresh. A standout for us was the homemade corn tortillas--you can really taste the difference! Our table shared: * Mojarra & Pescado al Mojo de Ajo: Perfectly cooked and seasoned. * Lobster Plate: Succulent and generous. * Surf & Turf Tacos: These were a highlight! Loaded with carne asada and creamy guacamole, then topped with perfectly grilled shrimp. Each plate comes with rice, beans, and a side salad, but they are super flexible--we were able to substitute fries for the rice and beans on some plates, which is great for picky eaters or just a change of pace. Service & Atmosphere The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center, so parking was easy to find, which takes the stress out of the arrival. Even though the dining room was buzzing and busy, our waitress was incredibly nice and the entire staff was well-attended to our needs. Bottom line: If you're looking for delicious, flavorful seafood in a family-friendly environment, Marisco Corona is the place to go. We will definitely be back!

A confidential envelope was posted on the door and we were not able to get in. Both sides of the doors were locked. Some other mail was on the ground and 2 were inside the restaurant. I don't know what is going on with both Oliva and this Crab House restaurants? It was dark inside as I snooped to see what the place looked like, was not able to see anything, except one side of the restaurant the chairs were placed on top of the tables. Again, either they are going out of business, or sold the restaurant to someone else. We dialed their number, no answer, left a message (twice), and no one called us back! Even until today. What a shame!! Was so looking forward to it. We were there on the 7th of this month at 12 noon. My friend drove all the way from Tarzana so we could have had lunch, but both restaurants let us down..

The famed lobster appetizer was not for us. Bits of lobster floating in a lot of butter didn't excite us. Excellent salads. The other appetizers however, were excellent. We've been twice now had had a lot of their menu. The pork was outstanding. The rack was very good, but I've had even better racks elsewhere. The "famous" banana cream pie was good, not great, but so huge and rich it must be shared. At $30, it's maybe also a tad overpriced. The bar makes a healthy-sized martini that's worth its high-end price tag. Great wine list with wonderful advice and good-sized sample pours, even though I only drink one glass and my husband doesn't drink at all. This is a good place to splurge on a good wine. I've mentioned the above-par service. Informative and cheery, without trying to become your best friend. They went out of their way to assure us a table in a very quiet spot, due to my deafness. Very attentive without being overbearing. Their suggestions seem honest, rather than just trying to upsell everything. The place is huge and gorgeous. Flatteringly, if dimly, lit, it lends itself to romantic dinners and anniversaries. In our case, we like to have a rather luxurious and romantic and lengthy meal perhaps once a month, and feel very fortunate to be able to do so. It's divided into several smallish areas and the effect is rather cozy and intimate. It's chic and stylish, so PLEASE folks, dress for it? It especially saddens me to see a nicely dressed young woman, who obviously spent some time on herself beforehand, with a guy ( I'll guess her husband ), in shorts and a tee shirt. I say, for a place like this, where you could easily spend four bills on a good meal for two, with drinks, management, bring back a dress policy! And enforce it with a reminder email they you do so. Is a collared shirt and a pressed pair of khakis too much to ask for?
