Absolutely love Packard Dental. I've been looking around for different ortho places for my 10 yr old. Packard dental was the 4th spot we had been to. Right when we got there, immediately, I loved it. Clean place, friendly staff, bright decor, quiet/relaxing ambiance. They have a mini fridge with complimentary water bottles, books for the little ones, and magazines for the rest. Everything looks so "state of the art". Beautiful dental office, to say the least. Dr. Jarred is really great and made us feel comfortable with the details of our consultation. Everything seemed to be so perfect I was afraid their prices were going to be through the roof. Especially because it was in Carlsbad (well known beach city). But to my surprise they were actually less money than anticipated! I paid right then & there! So stoked! Initially went for a general cleaning- had a great experience and scheduled a consultation to discuss invisalign with the orthodontist. The technician who then was scanning my teeth with a little camera (new technology- no plaster molds anymore!) was having a hard time because the camera kept fogging up. He kept wiping the camera off but I couldn't really see what he was doing initially. Later I realized he kept wiping it off on his pants and then putting it back in my mouth- he must have done it at least 20 times. Gross all the time, especially gross during a pandemic. read more

I'm writing this review from the office as I wait for my appointment. A client is trying to schedule an appointments for her kids and I just wanted to comment at how great and flexible this office is. Dr. Jared is looking through the schedule himself and rearranging things to make it work for her schedule. From what I can tell her kids are very busy and she isn't willing to let them miss practice, so the office is being very accommodating for her. Kudos to them, and she is lucky. read more

I really need a stellar dentist because my teeth are always causing me problems. I first came to Packard dental because I had to have a crown replaced. Dr. Mark did a fabulous job, but the damage from the other dentist on my teeth could not be brushed away. Since then, Packard dental has tirelessly helped me, and Julia is no exception. She cleaned, lasered, and rinsed my numbled tooth, and I left feeling confident my tooth is in good hands. If that were not enough, Julia noticed two sores on the corner of lips and without any complaint, she lasered these spots on the corner of lips. No one does that, but I was sure thankful she did. My tooth and lips feel better, and I give all the credit to Julia and Packard dental. read more

I have been coming to Packard Dental for over a year sinced I moved back to San Diego county and I must say I've had a great experience so far. The place is extremely clean everyone is very professional and organized. The dentists in this office have your best interest in mind and don't try to push anything you don't need and actually offer you services to have a healthy set of teeth. Totally not what I'm used to since the dentist offices in La would always try to push procedures and services on me just to charge my insurance.I typically get my teeth cleaned with Kendra who is amazing she is so friendly and professional. After being in the ER for horrible ear and tooth pain I had no choice but to call a dentist! I naturally feared the dentist in my twenties probably for not going for 10 plus years! Luckily for me my good friend Chelsea works at Packard Dental. Chelsea got the wonderful 6AM panic call from that I needed to be seen, that day, ASAP! My face and ear hurt so bad that I was actually looking forward to getting in the chair at the dentist office. She got me an appointment the same day with Dr. Jared. My hygienist was AMAZING right from the start! No really, when I say amazing, she was literally so attentive and listened to me complaining of pain that she got right to it to get me comfortable and ready for the Dr. When Dr. Jared walked in and saw my bottom right wisdom tooth he told me it was an abscess. Immediately I panicked in my own head but told myself "okay let's do this, let's get this tooth out" I looked around the room and actually felt comforted. There is the coolest board in the room I was in with a these pictures of Dr. Jared and his family. For whatever reason that board got me through my visit! Maybe because it reminded me of my own kids. I'm a mom and always tell my kids at the dentist "it won't be that bad, be a trooper" so I kept telling myself to be a trooper. The extraction of my wisdom tooth went flawlessly and I felt instant relief. I'm actually excited to go back to the dentist to have my final wisdom tooth pulled and have two cavities filled. The whole experience was great and Dr. Jared is such a good Dr. He is so personable and funny that it really made my visit fun. Imagine that, I went in with lots of pain and came out laughing (no I didn't opt for the nitrous lol) I can't wait to come to the new office and have the rest of my work done. We were visiting from out if town when my daughter's braces had a mishap which caused the wire to poke and irritate her mouth. We called to see if there was any way someone in the office could see her to repair the wire and were so happy we did. The office is beautiful, the staff is so kind and Dr. Matt was great! I am so extremely impressed with the entire staff here. I'm not one who has ever been scared of going to the dentist, but I never feel comfortable or happy after I go to them. That's NOT the case with this office. I had a lot of work to be done but they did a great job of not overwhelming me and helping me take things one step at a time. Dr. Jared is the best and even took the time to follow up on my recovery after some crown work was done. It's slightly out of my way to come here but well worth it! Wow! The new Packard Dental Office is truly second to none, and despite the facility changes, the friendly demeanor of everyone there hasn't changed one bit. It was really surprising and cool that Kendra, one of the hygienists, actually remembered me by name considering I haven't been in the office since July. The professionalism is still top notch as well. Dr. Jared is always welcoming and it's very apparent that he's passionate about his craft (and that goes for the rest of the staff too!) And just when you thought Packard Dental couldn't get any better, as I sat down in the dental chair, I looked up and was greeted by a TV on the ceiling! Everyone here made me feel welcome. The doctors with such a long track record of happy customers/patience clearly know what they're doing. Wish I could afford them. I'm a big fan of Packard Dental (sounds funny to say). I started going to them a year and a half ago when they were in their old building in Carlsbad Village. Their new location is actually closer to my house and the brand new space is pretty slick with all the latest toys (tvs to watch in the ceiling while you get your teeth cleaned, some machine that takes a 3D picture of your teeth that they can "fly" around and into to find any cavities, etc). Of course, the best technology in the world doesn't make a great place, and it's really the quality of the dentists and their staff that earn the 5 star review here. Everyone I've ever interacted with in the office has been professional, courteous, and genuine, and the level of care I get (from cleanings to having a nightguard made to the occasional filling- doh!) has been top notch across the board. I highly recommend this place. Just don't get too busy to see me, please! read more

What an amazing dental experience!!! I usually hate getting any dental work done but here it was different. Dr. Matt is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. His assistant, Kyla, took my xrays and normally that's a very painful experience for me but she made sure to be very gentle and it didn't hurt a bit! I was also in for a cleaning and laser treatment from Allison, and she was wonderful! Kept it comfortable and relaxing, and my teeth have literally never felt cleaner after leaving. Also coordinated my future treatment plan with Jordan and she made everything so easy to understand! She was so friendly and helpful, dealing with her was a perfect ending to a perfect dental experience. Everyone there has such amazing people skills and are very very friendly. This place is the best! I came here originally for an exam to get my wisdom teeth out and stayed ever since. Mark, Jared, and Matt are really sincere dentists that are great at what they do. Nicole is the best for cleanings and check ups! She has amazing rapport and lots of knowledge - so great! Overall, super great patient relationships and they're all committed to making sure you leave with a great experience and some super clean teeth! Amanda helped me with my ortho consult and she was just wonderful.
