Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely.
