Rreal Tacos has blown me away multiple times & I have yet to visit on a Taco Tuesday! Service is attentive, food is amazingly (and consistently) good, and their juices and margaritas are fresh & thoughtfully made. You can't go wrong with any of their classic tacos, including al pastor. The fried avocado added additional flavor to my meals. Try any of the costras (my go-to is picanha steak), as the ingredients are enveloped in fried cheese & placed in a flour tortilla! We had dinner at Rreal Tacos in West Midtown this past Monday and enjoyed it. I give the food and drink a solid four Yelp stars. The tacos and other food, as well as the margarita and michelada that we had, were delicious. There were some service and parking issues, but our server made everything right. The vibe was fun. If you're OK with loud music *and* you're looking for a lively taco joint with satisfying Mexican food and drinks, I recommend this place. This Rreal Tacos is located at the corner of Northside and 10th on ground level of the Bower Westside apartment complex. Park in the complex's garage. You can enter from either Northside or 10th. I scanned the QR code at our parking spot and went ahead and paid for parking before entering the restaurant. I was charged $7.89 for two hours via LAZ Parking. There was a sign in front of the restaurant with an alphanumeric validation code. I may have missed it, but nowhere did I see an option, before or after paying for parking, to enter a validation code. This is different from a parking company like Park Simple, which the nearby sweetgreen uses, for example. With Park Simple, you pay then validate. Park Simple makes the process easy and intuitive. LAZ does not. Long story short, our server asked a manager to discount our bill $8 to cover parking. Also, our server mentioned that another party was having problems with the validation code. This place is popular. You should make a reservation. Rreal Tacos is on OpenTable and awards points. That said, I checked the box to earn 100 points on my reservation and after two days, the points didn't show up. I had to contact OpenTable and they did a points adjustment, so watch out for that. On Monday night, the patios were closed. Inside, it was decently busy, but not slammed. We visited the Rreal Tacos in Midtown (6th St NE) on a Saturday night last December and it was packed with people waiting outside. Here's what my wife and I had at this location: Drinks: * Dragon Fruit Margarita ($13) - tequila blanco, dragon fruit, cucumber, lime, and agave * Michelada ($13) - made with Pacifico and clam Starters: * Elote ($5.99) - grilled corn with Mexican mayo, lime, queso cotija, chilito (chile powder) Tacos: * Al Pastor ($4.49) - seasoned pork slowly cooked in a spinning trompo, with onion, cilantro, and roasted pineapple * Pork Carnitas ($4.49) - pork slow-cooked, pulled, and shredded, with onions and cilantro * Pork Belly ($4.99) - braised tender pork belly seasoned with sea salt and spices, with onions and cilantro * Asada ($4.99) - flank steak, marinated, with onions and cilantro * Beef Barbacoa ($4.99) - marinated beef with a blend of chiles and spices, slow-roasted for 12+ hours, with onions and cilantro * Picanha ($5.69) - picanha steak with chimichurri sauce, topped with pickled red onions * Grilled Shrimp ($4.69) - grilled shrimp, marinated and seasoned, with slaw mix, onion, and cilantro. * Tempura Fish ($4.99) - tempura fish on a flour tortilla with coleslaw and chipotle mayo Not Tacos: * Quesabirria ($14.99) - birria barbacoa quesadilla with cilantro, onions and consomé We also ordered Guacamole & Chips ($8.99), but it never came out. Our server said it was her mistake. We told her no worries, we had enough food. Also, instead of getting a Tempura Fish taco, we got a Grilled Shrimp taco instead. Again, our server admitted she goofed. We got the Grilled Shrimp taco on the house and the correct Tempura Fish taco came out later. Despite the mishaps, our server was very nice and gracious. We appreciated her making everything right, including the parking. The food and drink came out fast and everything was presented beautifully. The drinks were terrific. The Dragon Fruit Margarita and Michelada were both well made and super tasty. I'm not sure what all Rreal Tacos puts in their Michelada, but mine was refreshing, fizzy, salty, tangy, and spicy. And it came with a tamarind straw. The tacos were fresh and filling. They were all equally good. If I had to pick favorites, they would be the Al Pastor and Picanha. The Pork Belly was also fantastic - crispy and great hit of flavor, but it was by far the greasiest. Some of the tacos were served with two tortillas, while others only one. The Quesabirria and consomé were great; savory and gratifying. Portion sizes are above average. When we were seated, I noticed our table hadn't been completely wiped clean. There was still some sauce on it. Also, our lamp was dirty. When a couple near us was seated, the lady commented the floor beneath their table was dirty. We let those things go (didn't notify staff). The bathroom I used was clean. I remember visiting the original Rreal Tacos in Midtown shortly after it opened in December 2015. This location in West Midtown opened in June 2022. There are now 10 (!) locations in metro Atlanta. The newest location opened on the Beltline two days ago, on September 15, 2025. That's a lot of growth in just under 10 years. read more

"Long" wait times may deter you on a Saturday night but don't let it. Hostess quoted us 45 minutes... I think we actually waited for like 10 lol. They do have parking in the parking deck behind the building and do validate parking for 1.5 hours. They clean tables and move like an assembly line which I didn't think I would appreciate until actually watching it in action lol. The establishment is kind of tight in space so you may get tapped by people passing by. It is also a rad bit loud so don't expect to have an intimate convo here. We were in and out within an hour. The food was good and came out rather quickly. I always get the esquites and a burrito bowl with shrimp, which is always a good serving size for me. I have now been to all of the rreal tacos. This is one of the smaller locations with the smallest along with Chamblee and the beltline has the most seating. The drinks are always constistent, but I am learning that the different locations cook their tacos slightly different. The pork belly at this location with Center and the ends more crisp. Now, let's talk food and drink--because we didn't come to play. We started with a pitcher of Strawberry Texas Margarita. Let me just say, this margarita didn't come to sip; it came to slay. Sweet, refreshing, and delicious, it was the perfect kickoff. For the main event, we ordered the taco platter. You choose four proteins and get a total of 12 tacos. Yes, 12 tacos! We went with chicken, fish, shrimp, and steak. All of them were good, but the shrimp and chicken? Absolute showstoppers. Juicy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. Omgeee, can you say delicious?! I had heard about this place but it wasn't until I saw their Christmas ads on Instagram that I made a plan to visit. I called and the automated message said there were no reservations due to high volume but to just walk in. We decided to chance it and try the West Midtown location. People were complaining about waiting for over an hour so I was expecting to get that same wait time when I walked up but because I agreed to sit outside, we were sat immediately! So I guess the really long wait and full reservations are to sit inside. I get it, the inside is the magic, but I rathered sit immediately and still get the vibe than wait over an hour to sit inside. Plus, they had a ton of heaters outside that really helped in the cold. One tip for them is to assign different table numbers to each table. We sat at table P6 and apparently, there's another P6 table inside. When we scanned the QR code, instead of the menu coming up, it was someone's $200 unpaid bill. We told the server and he fixed it right away but I think that issue is also why servers kept coming to our table with items we didn't order. Okay, quick rundown of the good stuff: -Hot chocolate: So pretty, decent chocolate, had the large marshmellows and 2 cookies. The liquor in it is tequila. That was new for me but it was good and you can definitely taste the liquor. -El Rudolph: This is definitely reminiscent of coquito but without the bite that usually comes from the plain bacardi. This restaurant uses coconut rum. -Quesabirria: This was just us being greedy for no reason lol. It's a combination of a quesadilla and a birria taco. It's really tasty and I like the consume served with it. It's really filling. -Spanish rice: Good flavor but nothing special If you sit outside, be prepared for people to hover. They allow people to wait outside and everyone wants to be near the heaters so there are people standing right by your table. So this is not my first rodeo with Rreal tacos and although the food never impressed me, I wanted to give them another chance during their Halloween special. Now I mentioned the food being less than average but they have great drinks so I was excited to go! My party of 4 went to this location on a Friday night with no reservation! The wait was quoted for 30 minutes and was definitely busy, but we were sat within 15 minutes so this was a great start. Originally our server took a while to finally come to the table, so much so that we wrote out or entire orders (drinks, apps, and entree) just so we can put them all in at once. It did take a minute to get our drinks but again, it was busy so we gave grace! I specifically ordered their Haunted Titantic shot flight initially and one drink. Unfortunately, I never received the Titantic and when we got to the end of the meal, when I reminded him, he informed me they were out of the Haunted Punch and if it would be okay to sub the shots with the Witch's Brew. I went ahead and obliged for the sake of the experience, but if my order was put in when initially ordered I would have gotten the designed drink. Outside of that complaint, another major annoyance was one person in my party who only ordered the Dip Trio and a shrimp bowl, had to ask for her Trio after everyone else received their food and then, when we all were done eating, we realized she never received her entree. Although apologetic, the bowl was not comped or any additional resolution for simply forgetting her food. Ratings below for what I ordered specifically: Empanada: 7/10 (standard, dipping sauce was good but preferred with their house salsas) VinoRita: 9/10 Balanced drink, sub for Tajin rim ;) Witch's Brew: 7/10 Too sweet for me, but not nasty Elote: 10/10 delicious!! I have been looking for a good Mexican spot and I heard great things about Rreal Tacos, so I have been looking to try this place out. Initially, we went to the location in Buckhead on a weeknight but it was packed. Luckily, we reserved a spot last minute in West Midtown. Upon entering the restaurant, it was really busy, but our server was nice. However, one of our side dishes did not come out until much later (and after we reminded a different waitress about it). I think because it was so busy that night, our server forgot about us a bit until we reminded me. The ambiance was very warm and lively, but it was hard to hear each other, even though we were sitting next to each other. We ordered the Guacamole & Chips, Spanish Rice, Refried Beans, Grilled Chicken Taco, Pork Belly Taco, Birria Barbacoa Taco, Consome, Picanha Taco, Strawberry Margarita, and Mango Margarita. The Guacamole & Chips were appetizing; the guacamole tasted pretty fresh. I also like my Mango Margarita, although it was a bit sweet even for my liking. The Spanish Rice was honestly kind of bland and I was expecting more flavor. However, the Refried Beans were a bit too salty so eating it with the rice worked out well as the flavors balanced each other. The Grilled Chicken Taco tasted just as I expected, which was good. I was an even bigger fan of the Birria Barbacoa Taco. The meat was good and flavorful and dipping it into the Consome was a good touch. I also got to try the Pork Belly Taco which was also yummy, but a bit dry. I would definitely recommend drizzling their sauces (salsa verde, salsa roja, etc.) on the tacos for an extra spicy kick. For me, I think that eating 2-3 tacos here is enough to fill me up just because there is a good amount of filling inside the tacos. I usually do not eat Mexican food, but I did enjoy the food here.
