Very large portions, but I felt the chili verde didn't have enough sauce and only 2 corn tortillas for a massive amount of meat and sides.

Delicious entrees, an assortment of non-alcohol beverages, authentic decorations, BYOB w/o a corkage fee.

It's nice to have another authentic Mexican restaurant in the island! This place occupied a former popular steakhouse, but they've done well to make this place their own with colors and nice dia de los muertos decor. Food is around $25-40 per person, but to me it's worth it for locally-sourced ingredients and cuisine from Acapulco (so many other restaurants on Kauai are Tijuana or Sonora cuisine). My girlfriend and I ordered the pescado and vegetarian tacos so we could sample both. The fish is delicious and adobo seasoned. The veggies are nicely roasted. I love the peanut/sunflower/chili oil, which adds a good kick to anything. The house made salsas and chile sauces are amazing, but I like'em a little hotter. The owner/server is really nice and made sure we were cared for. I liked that she was upfront about what wasn't available because of seasonal crops. I hope this place sticks around!

Love this place. Only Authentic Mexican food on Kauai with great homemade tortillas. The Portions are the right size not too big not too small. The decor is cool with Mexican sugar skulls. Service is always good here staff are friendly and attentive.

I had the Tampiqueña, I ordered my steak medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. The enchiladas are also good. I highly recommend using the sauce on the table, a great addition to an already flavorful dish. The taco's are large , not street taco style. They are very good.

Taking the day of the dead seriously.

The Tampiquena was delicious and huge. The Horchata was smooth and sweet. Seven of us thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful Oaxaca restaurant!

We were seated directly under a industrial fan used for the heat, but it was like 59 degrees so we asked if it could be turned off. We were told they can only turn it off it they turn off all the lights. So we asked if we could be moved to another table out of the way of the fan and were told no, this was the only table available. We sat down and the server immediately came over and asked for our drink order. We asked for a drink menu, so she brought one for five people. Then she stood at the bar staring at us until we decided. The drinks were delivered quickly and we're actually good. Next came the food order. Four menus for five people. Order placed for one taco salad, twelve street tacos, all chicken or steak, and one burrito. We asked if we could have chips and salsa, guacamole, and queso dip. One bowl of chips for five people, which we paid for two refills. Salsa was canned, guacamole was not fresh, and queso was bland. Taco salad was OK. Street tacos weren't what we expected and didn't have limes. They tasted ok and the meat was fresh. Burrito was messed up and they tried to lie and say that's how burritos are served and the green sauce was chilis. We found out it was cooked and served with ground pork. This was not advertised. Overall, they seemed bothered by us and we're talking about us in Spanish to each other. One of our party was fluent in Spanish. When we left, there were three people there with badges looking at some paperwork from the bar, which was very suspicious.

Huge disappointment and they raised their prices! Oh, and good luck ordering if you don't have your cell phone because you need to scan the QR code to get a menu while at the same time the hostess handed us old outdated menus reflecting old prices. And, if you don't mind flies swirling around your food then this is the place for you. I get that it's an outside dining experience but wow, dry chewy sock burritos, tasteless beans and rice, added with flies sure makes for a gross meal with family and friends.
