Pleasantly surprised by Thai House! It's definitely a hole in the wall and I would absolutely recommend this spot! It's a very cute small restaurant. When we arrived, it was an hour or two before closing. There wasn't many people, which made me nervous but it was probably an odd dinner time. We ordered a pad kee mao and pad thai. Both portions were generous and perfect for eating family style! The pad kee mao was saucy and flavorful! I was expecting it to be a bit more spicy, and I should've requested extra spicy like I usually do. However, I really enjoyed the dish! The beef was soft and tender. I don't usually like pad thai because many places make it sweet, but I was very surprised by their dish! We asked the server if it was sweet, and she said not really. When it came out, she was right! It barely had a hint of sweetness and the noodles had really good full flavor to it. It tasted like authentic pad thai (which is hard to find) and was delicious. The dish was even better with lime in my opinion! Although I did eat some portions with lime and without lime because I wanted the best of both worlds. They were good either way! I really enjoyed both dishes and I look forward to trying more of their dishes soon! I am very happy with my experience here. Mark and I went here today for lunch, with Polly, Karen, Diane and Lucja. We ate outside, it was about 1:00 pm, great afternoon, mild temperatures and was quiet and peaceful. Not much traffic out. I ordered the Fresh salad rolls with shrimp, Polly ordered the same (vegetarian), Mark and Lucja ordered the Pad Thai Noodles, Diane ordered the brown rice W/ Green Curry, Karen ordered the Pumpkin Curry. EVERYTHING was delicious and amazing. But first, we each had a salad, which comes with lunch orders. I always love their salad dressing. It's so good. It was our friends Birthday, they brought her the Fried Bananas. THE BEST dessert I've ever had at a Thai Restaurant. The staff were so kind, they all sang Happy Birthday to her, and made it extra special. That dessert was soooooooooo good, I'm ordering that EVERY time I'm there. Friendly staff as usual. I'm really sad to write this but I just ordered my usual spring rolls from here and when I ate a big bite I literally had to spit it out because it tasted so bitter or spoiled. I started trying the ingredients separately and I found out it was the cucumber? Everything else tasted fine. The cucumber was so extremely bitter it didn't make sense. And the rolls without cucumber are just plain and dry. I will try again soon to see if the issue was fixed but that was really disappointing. read more

Sorry it took me 10 days to write this review, but I absolutely needed to write one. We went here for dinner and it was wonderful. The food was great, and the prices are reasonable. But that's not what this review was about. When we got here, the place was hopping. People were waiting for takeout orders, and it was pretty busy with sit-down customers too. And helping all the tables was ONE waitress. Yet, despite the stress, she was on top of it, prompt, and friendly. I'm not good with names, but she deserves a raise! It had been a few years since we ate at Thai House. We should not have waited so long! You don't go here for the ambiance, think of a diner for Thai food - you go for the flavor. We did a pretty wide sample: Beef Satay; Chicken Tom-Ka soup; Veggie PaNang curry; and Pork Pad Thai. THE PROS: The flavors are spot- on. Really liked the Tom-Ka. Unlike many Thai places, they don't ask you how "hot" you want it. To me all our food was just right spice wise. About a 4.5/10 on the Thai Hot scale. We often get it hotter, but these flavors were so good, it didn't seem necessary. If you want high-heat let them know up front. Good size portions-(which often Thai restaurants skimp on.) A few outside tables on a sidewalk patio for nice evenings. THE CONS: None of these are enough not to eat here, but to be fair, most places have a few. The overall ambience and decor are nothing to speak of. Boxes of supplies are stacked in the dining area. The background music, while definitely authentic, was, for me, a bit too upfront and noticeable. Also, while common, I wish they would remove the inedible aromatics- like the galanga, keifer leaf and lemon grass stalk - from the soup when it's served. BOTTOM LINE: The foods the thing, you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for fancy, get it to go and light a candle at home. Rating: 8/10 read more

This is a nice little spot for Thai comfort food. There about -0 or 12 tables, all with fresh roses on them, which was a nice touch. There's just one guy running the dining room and the door dash orders. But he was attentive and food came out quick. The fresh rolls were fantastic and well balanced, no chewiness of the wrappers. The peanut vinaigrette was sweet and just a little spicy. The pad Thai was fantastic! Sweet and cooked to the perfect doneness. The shrimp were not overcooked. The curry was very flavorful. The pineapple flavor permeated the entire dish and I've never had a pineapple curry quite like this one. Would highly recommend. The restaurant made it easy to adapt the entrees to the dietary restrictions we provided. I recommend sitting outside because if you sit inside, you'll smell every dish as it's being made and you'll end up ordering all of them. It's a little strange that they have a Chinese Zodiac on the paper placemats at a Thai restaurant but whatever. They are still entertaining to read even though I have seen them a million times. The service was friendly as soon as we walked in the door. They quickly seated us and came by soon to take our order, and they checked on us during dinner. Everything we had was delicious and had really good flavor. The table of us four shared a large Tom Kha with Chicken, Fresh Shrimp Rolls, Pad Kee Mow with Chicken, Cashew Chicken with a side of White Rice, Panang Chicken Curry with a side of Brown Rice. Yummy yummy in my tummy. My son really enjoyed the rolls and Cashew Chicken which was not spicy and not too sweet. The Panang Curry had big chucks of chicken and veggies. Picked up takeout from Thai House. Two N1's and an order of fried chicken egg rolls. The pad see ew had that smoky, savory flavor we were hoping for, and the egg rolls had a solid crunch. You only get four egg rolls for $12, which felt a little steep for the portion. Food was still hot by the time we got home, which is always a plus with takeout. When I walked in, the woman at the front was polite, but one of the first things she said was, "How are you paying?" Kind of caught me off guard. Not a dealbreaker, just... notable. Really good Thai food! Came for lunch. One server gal was bustling. Wish there were more lunch specials. Ordered the $15 eggplant stir fry with chicken. Came with a small salad and a small serving of white or brown rice. Large portion, super fresh, tasty, authentic, spicy. Flavors were on point. Sadly I came back for this soup last night and it wasn't at all like last time. The broth was watery, it lacked that creamy coconut aspect and lacked flavor, I actually went back in to ask if there was anything I could add to make it better and the chef told me the problem was we "added too much" (my boyfriend and I like to add extra veggies/protein) so that's why the soup base was bland. He then handed me a bunch of some kind of spicy sauce that it no where near what I was needing because my soup was already spicy enough... I'm just super disappointed in this soup this time around. After 7+ yrs living in the area i decided to finally try the establishment for the first time. I ordered online to go a few minutes before they opened during a weekday. I originally planned to order a few food items but observed the cost was on the higher than what I'm accustomed to when ordering from Thai Restaurants throughout the years. This included fees for ordering online plus substituting for different proteins. Weary over the pricing, I just stuck with the pad kee mow (drunken noodles) and replaced their standard chicken with beef. From online order to having the food ready, it didn't take long at all (there was an estimated time of 45 minutes but it was ready in 10-15). Walking in to pick up the order I observed a nice, clean and spacious establishment - was promptly greeted and received my order. The food itself was pretty good - wasn't as spicy as I'd have hoped it to be. I'm knocking it a few stars mainly because for the amount I paid, I'd expected a bit more for the serving.I do however plan to come back and eat indoors and try a few other dishes in hopes that my first experience was due to ordering take out. read more

This place was solid. Came here and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a pleasant surprise. The staff was great, and the entire experience was pleasant. I liked the food, and you can see why it's popular. It's hard to explain, but it the only thing that prevented it from getting a fifth star was the taste didn't tickle my taste buds in the same way other Thai places do. Don't get me wrong, the food is good! Just wanted it to have that little oomph that gets the very deepest corners of my tongue, in the same way other Thai places in the area have. The owner here who works at the front desk and is half toothless is rude and talk yells at people. I don't think I would enjoy working for him and won't be coming back based on his tone of voice at all. Read some other reviews and apparently I'm not alone in this. For example, I phoned for a to go and asked the broth not to be hot since they put things in plastic containers. The lady on the phone was understanding but the owner calls back and was rude and not understanding the situation. There's someone with cancer in my family so I don't think it's an unreasonable request not to have plastic leech into hot liquid! I picked up the curry and it's hot with plastic lid peeling off!! What a gem. Food quality: 5. Service: 5+. Nearly a hole-in-the-wall, with maybe 8 or 9 tables total. The place fills quickly at meal time, so get there early. They don't take reservations. A group of three of us happened upon Thai House because we couldn't get into a local Japanese restaurant. What a find! We order Fresh Shrimp Salad Rolls and Chicken Satay for appetizers. They were both quite tasty. One of us ordered the Pad Thai, which had a generous portion that she wasn't able to make a major dent in, so she took it home. Another of us ordered Mild Yellow Curry, which I found to be quite tasty. I ordered the Spicy Pineapple Curry which I really enjoyed. The spice mixed with the sweetness from the pineapple, complemented by ample fresh ingredients, moved this one to the top of my list. All of the food, without exception, was freshly made and clearly made with fresh ingredients. It was wonderful fare. They're also quite accommodating on the spice. My two friends liked their food on the mild side, and both of their dishes certainly were. I like it really spicy. They offered mild, medium, hot and Thai hot. I went for hot, but honestly I could have gone hotter. (But Thai hot scares me!). Next time I'll ask for hotter than hot. :) Wrt service, the appetizers somehow got lower down on the preparation list, and didn't make it out until we were well into our meal. One of the owners, Vinnie, noticed this and told us (unprompted, mind you) that that wasn't right, and comped us an extra beer apiece. Wha!? Yeah, it would have been nice to receive the appetizers at the beginning of the meal, but everything was so good and fresh, none of us had really noticed. The fact that the owner took that extra step, completely unprompted, really speaks to the quality of service in this establishment. Will I be back? I was really craving Pad See Ew the other day and so glad Thai House was able to satisfy that craving. I called in an order during the busy lunch hour, and they were able to quickly make my noodles. I requested for the veggie option with mild spice. It smelled delicious when I opened the container - like grandma's Pad See Ew. My noodles were loaded with delicious veggies! I liked that there was a mix of different veggies and that the ratio of noodles to veggies were equal. My noodles weren't spicy at all though. It tasted like a classic Pad See Ew, so I'm not sure if they forgot the heat or if they gave me some heat and it was just weak to my tasting. lol I def will order lunch here again! read more

Jake opted for the Spicy Green Curry, giving it a perfect 5/5 rating for flavor. Esteban went with the Pad See Ew, while I ordered the Spicy Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mow). Each dish was accompanied by a salad dressed with peanut sauce, which we found quite enjoyable. Overall, the food was delicious, and we're looking forward to adding this restaurant to our regular rotation. I used to love this place. I always thought it had really good Thai food and I'm went today and I ordered to go and I'm really disappointed. First of all the prices are higher all of a sudden it's like they were 16 now they're 21 and the portion sizes have been made smaller and it was so spicy that I could hardly eat it. Came in about a month ago. Ordered 3 main dishes that we shared family style. The first fried rice we tried was severely burnt. Brought it up to the waitress she was very apologetic and offered to take it back and give us a new one. The new dish was more up to par. The issue comes in with the second dish that was also burnt. We again brought it to the waitress's attention she seemed a little annoyed this time but she let the cook know. A few minutes later the cook (Hispanic male with missing teeth) came from the kitchen to LOUDLY demand "what's going on ladies!" Which startled me. All of us were surprised at the confrontation and hesitantly told him the dish is also burnt. He again LOUDLY asked "what do we want to do remake it or take it off the bill!" It was very accusatory and embarrassing even though there was only 1 other party in the restaurant. Because of his demeanor we decided it would be best not to allow him to make it again. Ok it was my first time ordering takeout from this place, i ordered 2 pad thai's and honestly the service was great, the girl on the phone was nice, but $40 for that quality of pad thai? It didnt even taste like pad thai, it was so stale, no sauce dry and the tofu was small. I've been on the fence about posting this updated review but it's been bothering me too much to be quiet. Two visits ago I placed my order over the phone. I forgot this Thai restaurant adds bell peppers to the cashew chicken. I'm not a bell pepper fan. Fifteen minutes after I placed my order, I called to mention my forgetfulness. The person on the phone said they could do nothing about it because the dish was already made. When I arrived, a man in the kitchen was hostile towards me about my request I walked out without the food, vowing to not return. However, I really liked how Thai House made their cashew chicken. So here I was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and I placed an order in person. First disappointment was being quoted 25-35 minutes but the food was ready 50 minutes later. Second disappointment was the way that the same man talked to his employees. Third disappointment was that the food didn't taste as great as I remembered. And while I can understand that Thanksgiving Eve is a busy night, I didn't receive an apology for being stuck with white rice. And I only overhead that they didn't have brown rice and I had to ask about it. If I'd known that when I placed my order with brown rice, I would have gotten food from somewhere different. The way he talked to his employees made other patrons uncomfortable, too. I hope he finds what's ailing him and fixes himself. No one should talk to people like that. read more
