Pants upon this place because the other place we were supposed to go to isn't serving lunch yet. So we ordered all sorts of different things and surprisingly everything was really good what surprised us the most is that nobody was there and nobody was coming in to try the place out so I'm not sure what's going on. They do have a mango sticky rice as a dessert and we were so happy because they were using Filipino mangoes. What I like about the place is is you're able to customize the level of spiciness that you want I do eat spicy but I'm not into Super spicy food so we did everything medium except two dishes. No specific dish released to doubt for me everything was flavorful and tasted really good, but I didn't have any favorites. Service was good. Parking is in an issue. MUST EAT PLACE FOR PAD THAI! This is our favorite Thai spot in all of the Chicago suburbs. Pad Thai here is so good! It reminds us of when we were in Chiang Mai and Bangkok when it comes to the taste and quality. Everything is good here. We always get the pad tie when we're here, we've also had the cashew chicken dish, pineapple fried rice is amazing, the eggplant dish is also really really good! The servers are so nice and sweet. They're always very responsive and take care of us. I also like the ambiance. It has a very relaxing Thai feel. I love the picture of the dalai lama. It puts me a peace. First time here and unfortunately I won't be back. Right off the bat, the papaya salad and Tom yum soup tasted so different and not in a good way. There was no heat to the salad even though we asked for medium spicy. Something was missing - fish sauce?. The Tom yum soup tasted like a different broth altogether. Very confusing! I tried Kao Sôi for the first time and really liked that dish. The basil chicken was OK, not as flavorful as what I am used to. The fried chicken wings were crispy and good. It has been more than a year since we last ordered from this restaurant. Sadly their service and food quality have gone downhill. They did not follow instructions on spice levels; one was supposed to be medium and the other not spicy at all. Both were very spicy. Their portions very small, containers were not full. The rice container was barely enough for one full serving and they charged $1 to include white rice with order. We would have to make rice in order to eat leftovers. But since it was too spicy, we will be throwing the leftovers in the trash. Rumor has it they sold the business 12-18 months ago. This was a total waste of our money. read more

Was looking for a new Thai place to try, and based on the positive reviews, I gave this spot a shot. We didn't order much, just an order of Kung pao chicken and cashew chicken. The food came out fast and piping hot. The chicken tasted very fresh and was sliced really thin. The flavors of both dishes were excellent, and pretty much what you would expect for both dishes. The portions were good and the prices were reasonable. Service was very good. Very happy to find a new spot to go to, will definitely return! read more

I ate there for decades & his cooking was unbelievable, unfortunately he retired over a year ago. So Pad Thai restaurant was on my list to try. I arrived when there was a lunch special available. I upgraded their panang (rice dish) to beef at an extra fee. A single fried vegetable egg roll and a small cup of tom yum soup are included in the lunch special. Although the soup appears thin, its flavor is still present and not overbearing because it wasn't very sour. The scent of spices and lemongrass are pleasant. The egg roll was nicely crispy. The veggie filling has a flavorful seasoning. It has carrots, onions, and cabbage. Along with it was a side of sour and sweet sauce to dip. The panang was appealing served with rice. The deep orange color of the red curry gravy is enhanced by the bright red hue of the bell pepper and a hint of earthy green basil. The texture of the red curry is thick and velvety, unlike anything I had imagined. The flavor's complexity left my taste buds wanting more; it was savory, creamy, spicy, and sweet. I liked it so much that I ate it all, but the portion was modest, and I was still hungry, so I got their appetizer, chicken wings, afterwards. There were six pieces. It contains a pleasing balance of flats and drums. It will undoubtedly be filling due to its large size. Due to the wings' heavy coating of chili sauce, the outside lost its crispy quality. Don't be misled by the chili flakes; the Thai chili sauce is more sweet than fiery. It's actually rather moderate. The meat was not done enough. When I confronted the staff and discovered that the flesh was still red and bleeding, they apologized and sent the wings back to the kitchen to be cooked again. I couldn't be angry because the staff informed me before I placed my order that the wings would take longer because of the process, so I was frustrated that I had to wait a long time for them and that they had to be sent back at the same time. I had their Khao Tom Mud for dessert; it's a simple but tasty dish made of sticky rice with a fresh banana filling and wrapped in a banana leaves. The sticky rice was fragile and gooey at the same time. The banana filling was tender; it also had an undertone of sweetness. The texture of the bean is somewhat solid. The flavor truly hit the spot, and it has a very nostalgic taste that makes me think of something my mom used to give me when I was younger. If they have added coconut milk, it will be excellent. It was a nice lunch, the food was good, there was some troubleshooting, but it was resolved, and I would most certainly return. read more

8/10/2023 Came by tonight for dinner. Ambiance = A Cute mom and pop restaurant in a strip mall. It can seat around 30 diners. The place is clean, and simple, with a wall decorated with Thai art and a lot of gold colors. Very calm, very chill. Music is not overpowering either. Perfect for dining. Check out their chalkboard with specials written on them! The dessert list looked so good, we were persuaded to get two desserts! Food = A Delicious, well-seasoned, good portions for the price, and arrived at our table hot and fresh after an acceptable wait time (10 mins or so). We ordered edamame, chicken pad see eew, chicken stir fried vegetables (comes with a small cup of rice), coconut boba shake, and mango sticky rice for dessert. All dishes were delicious. It was nearby so I dropped in. If my green curry was typical of the food here, I would come back a dozen times to try other dishes. Not having eaten here before, I asked for medium spice level. They don't water it down for Midwestern palates. I regularly eat Sichuan food; medium was just right. I have a little issue with bell peppers and asked the waitress if they would mind substituting some other veggies. They did so cheerfully. It was a generous portion, with plenty of Thai basil...so satisfying. This is clearly a family business--everyone was friendly and cheerful. Decor is simple and it's in a strip mall, but in my book that's the best kind of restaurant: food cooked with love and served with a smile. Have only had takeout, but the vibe is really cute in here. Found this place when I was craving beef pad Thai, and of course it popped right up. There are a lot of Asian food options in this area, but this is one of the better ones. The pad Thai was great, although if you're a big meat eater, order extra beef. I also tried the banana crepe dessert with coconut ice cream. Totally weird mini crepe pockets, fried?, and stuffed with banana slices. Actually really good. Got take out from here last week - ordered on Yelp and it took a while (~45 min) before it was ready for pick up. The staff was very polite and gave me sauce on the side, but I was disappointed in the drunken noodle. It was very oily and there wasn't enough flavor/sauce to balance. I added a lot of chili paste to help make it more flavorful but it was lacking soy sauce and other flavors. The fresh Thai basil was pretty good, but it just needed more. This is my favorite Thai dish, so I have pretty high standards, but would probably return to this place and try another dish next time! read more

So, we stumbled upon Pad Thai Restaurant in Mt. Prospect instead. So glad we did! We ordered the crab rangoon, curry (fried) rice, pad Thai w/ veggies and a pork entree. All of the dishes were excellent and the crab rangoons were easily in the Top 3 best I've ever eaten. Outstanding! Fresh and plump! We spent a little over $40 (for 2 people), so more pricey than the Chinese restaurant we like to go to. Portions are very large and the ingredients are very fresh. This is likely a place we'll only dine on special occasions, not monthly. We got carry out, so I don't know much about what the inside of the restaurant looks like. Got stuck in Chicago due to a canceled flight so took a road trip to our destination. Decided to stop and eat at a local restaurant. This one popped up on the around me app so we ended up here. What a great find. We ordered the Pad-see-ew and Wow, the noodles were so good I wouldn't be surprised if they were homemade. We both had Thai Tea as well and it was delicious. Very good! I highly recommend trying this Thai restaurant. Everything was delicious, tasted home made and fresh. We started with a bowl of seafood Tom yam soup. It is a bit different from most of the other restaurants I've been to, but it was really good. Most Tom Yam soups I've had have more of a red broth, but this was more clear in color. The flavors were a little different too, but I loved it. We ordered the Spicy Catfish as well as the Pad Woonsen, and loved them both. Wow this place was surprisingly good! I was not expecting much from a tiny place in a strip mall. We were the only customers dining in... they seem to do mostly carry out for lunch. I ordered the Pad See Ewe with tofu... what can I say... I am addicted! The service was kind and prompt. The lunch special is $8 or $9 depending on the meat you choose. Lunch is served on weekdays until 3 pm. The lunch special comes with a soup of the day or salad and an appetizer of the day. The soup of the day sounded boring... some clear broth veggie soup... so I opted for the salad and ordered a small Tom Yum Soup with chicken. The Tom Yum soup is top notch here! The salad was pretty good but nothing to write home about. The appetizer of the day was pot stickers which again were good but nothing too special. Then, came the main attraction... my Pad See Ewe with tofu... this was amazing... the noodles were cooked perfectly... not too mushy like some Thai places make them. The one thing I was not happy with was that the restaurant was a bit chill... I hate having to wear my jacket when I eat! I will still return if I am in the area though!
