My husband and I were so happy to come here as the team that took over this restaurant location used to have a Thai restaurant in Algonquin, IL which was our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the area - no other place near us comes close to the food. I ordered a carry out on a Saturday night. I ordered online and received a confirmation within minutes. I picked up the food at the scheduled time and it was ready and hot. I ordered basil chicken which was delicious. I asked for #2 spiciness and that was perfect. Just a bit of spice but not overwhelming. I also ordered Hawaiian fried rice. When ordering delivery, we decided to try Sukai Thai Cuisine. We'd never trie them before, so wanted to se if they could be one to add to our growing list. We ordered Drunken Chicken Noodles and Curry Fried Rice using GrubHub. A few comments about the food and then about delivery. The Curry Fried Rice was excellent. We're fried rice fans, but had not tried this version before. The texture of the rice was great. It had a slight crisp to it; the chicken was cooked perfectly; and the food was hot. The Drunken Noodles were also good. Since I get this dish a lot, I found it good, actually very good. I'm happier with the preparation at other restaurants but don't want to knock this one. Now, one comment about delivery. I'm growing more and more unhappy with both GrubHub and DoorDash. My feelings about both are the same. While they offer a good service model, practically, the food generally arrive Luke warm and even cold. That was the case here. The convenience of using a food delivery app is nice. They add a lot of fees to their service; I understand they don't pay the restaurants their fair share, and with a few exceptions, their issues are blamed on the restaurant. With COVID on the rise again, dining is is beginning to be concerning, again. These are the times where the service is the only option, and may help keep restaurants in business. My point is, they are a necessary evil. I wish they understood service the way their clients do. read more

One of my go-to Thai restaurants. I usually order chicken satay, pad see ew, pad thai, and/or parang curry with chicken. You get to choose the protein and spicy level for the dish. The taste has been consistent and as authentic as can be. I enjoy their Thai ice tea as well. I usually order to go as the interior looks a bit dated. If you eat there, their food usually comes out pretty quickly and they do check on you a few times. I'd give 5 stars for food, 4 stars for service, and 3 stars for the ambiance. After suffering from some SEVERE sinus congestion due to COVID, I found myself searching for something spicy. I ended up ordering tom yum soup and garlic pepper pork at a spice level of 3. Man, was it HOT and AUTHENTIC! This is the best soup I've ever had, hands down. Three spoonfuls of flavorful broth, and my sinuses were running a marathon. Lol! This is my new go-to Thai restaurant. One amazing meal! My wife had a taste for Thai yesterday and I didn't feel like making the trip all the way over to Althai in Arlington Heights so I located this place thanks to Yelp. Their ordering thru the site was very simple and easy and made for a convenient pickup experience. To eat, I decided on a Panang Curry with Chicken (Spicy), my wife got a curry fried rice with chicken and we split an order of Rangoons. The rangoons were great, soft with a nice fried crunch and tasted fresh. The Panang Curry was AMAZING. The texture of the sauce was nicely creamy with well seasoned and savory flavor and a well balanced sweetness. I got it spicy (level 4) and it was HOT. Usually, spicy just means a little kick but nothing serious but this had a serious KICK for this spicy food lover. My wife's curry fried rice was tasty as well. Unfortunately the food was blecch- overcooked, salty, and not very flavorful: - wonton soup= wontons were falling apart, broth was salty - tom yum soup= not spicy, mediocre - fresh spring rolls= dry, not fresh, the spring had already sprung - mee krob= not sweet enough, definitely missing flavor - red curry= sauce was watery, not nearly spicy enough - pad thai= noodles were broken in tiny pieces and pasty, chicken was dried out, not spicy at all, not flavorful I can only speculate that much of the food was prepared a day or two in advance and reheated or recooked in some way. This was terribly disappointing given how friendly the staff was. We ended up throwing much of it away. read more

Discovered this place because we always eat at Ramen Sinchan and Hangout Cafe next door. Always willing to support mom and pop restaurants. Unfortunately, service sucks. We never got a chance to eat here. My husband, 2 kids and I stood buy the door door for 7-10mins. One of the servers (old lady) came out of the kitchen, saw us, kept serving other customers, and never sat us down. Anyway it had no flavor , I could hardly eat it. And I can take down a whole order of pad Thai if it's good. I was like what am I eating some weird tasting spaghetti ? I understand things happen, but there was no apology when I called the restaurant to ask for a refund. The man who answered the phone just said to call Uber eats for a refund (which may have been all he could do). I ordered takeout. I will say the food portions are great for the money you pay. My parents and I decided to stop by our favorite Thai restaurant while running errands nearby, and at first we're super upset to see that it had been reported as "closed" on Yelp. I called to see if their phone worked, and it turns out that they're still open just under a new name: Sukho Thai Cuisine! We ordered everything to-go: steamed potstickers, Pad See-Ewe, Pad Thai with Chicken, and Cashew Chicken. Everything held up well for the 1.5 hour trip back home except the potstickers. Since they were steamed, the dough kind of stuck together, and kind of fell apart when you tried to separate them. They probably would have been fine if we had eaten them sooner, so as long as you eat them pretty soon after picking them up, they'll probably be fine. Even though they were falling apart, the potstickers were absolutely delicious, and we regretted not getting a second order! As for our entrees, each container was filled to the brim. The food was delicious, and there was plenty in there for leftovers. Looking forward to getting more food from Sukho soon! read more

My fav Thai restaurant in the area. Perfect for take outs and super allergy friendly meals. My husband is highly sensitive to fish and oyster sauce and me being a huge fan of Asian food in general, I've had to learn to make it at home without those ingredients since many restaurants have a hard time subbing out their original ingredients from the recipe. This place does a FANTASTIC job in making sure the food does not have those certain ingredients. Some of our favs here are: Red curry with tofu or chicken Drunken noodles with tofu or chicken Vegetarian Egg rolls (they do a great job of venting the box so that it doesn't get soggy) Curry fried rice Green curry with tofu Tip: it is best to get a less spicy version medium or mild and then add Thai chili sauce at home based on your spice preference. We eat spicy Indian food at home so mild was good for the kids too. We have tried the spring rolls but we did not like them here. I'm so glad we can enjoy eating Thai food from outside the home now :) please do take your business here as it can help local businesses grow! read more
