I have always heard about Paddlefish but this is the first time visiting. The food and drinks was delicious. Our waiter-forgot her name, was great, I asked her for recommendations in which she provided and they were delicious. Ambiance was also nice. The restaurant is on Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs, it is on the water. The Mayan Empress drink was absolutely delicious, the mocktail strawberry basil lemonade was also good. We had calamari and the lobster corn dogs for appetizer which was so good, then the shrimp pastas was also great, the sauce was yummy and put the dish together. The ribeye was good but it needed a little more seasoning, maybe a garlic butter sauce or something but overall everything was good. I would say about 8/10. Will visit again read more

We had 5 people and had been to Paddlefish before with great results, but this experience was different. We had the octopus appetizer, it was very chewy and hard to cut so nor prepared correctly. We have had Octopus before and how it was if prepared right. My wife ordered the crab cakes, they had a strange smell and taste like it came from a can, she could not eat it. My daughter ordered the ceviche and it was worse than the crab cakes. The ceviche actually tasted like it came from the can. Son in law had a steak that was good, grandson had the salmon and he ate all. I had the stuffed cod and it was also good. The servers were good, checking on us occasionally. I ordered the stuffed cod and while the presentation was good, the fish was just odd. The "stuffing" which was placed on top was heavy on the mustard and it overpowered everything. The fish itself was overall weird. It wasn't flaky or steak-y even though cod should be flaky. It definitely was frozen and even possibly processed? I've never had fish with this texture. The only way I can describe it was like a dense cotton-ball. Of course prices in the area are like fresh caught but this definitely was not the case. My tablemates ordered the swordfish and a ribeye. They didn't complain but the ribeye had barely any sear on it from what I could see. For me, it's a one and done. If it wasn't for the free public transportation back to our resort, a drive to leave the property is really the way for me when it comes for meals in the area. read more

Unique even for a Disney destination. Based upon an old time paddle boat this place has an excellent view of the lake and the numerous water crafts idling by. Nice open and airy with the tables offering plenty of room to kick knacks and relax. Good food choices with an emphasis on seafood since this is Florida. This was our first time in Disney Springs. We thought it would be good idea to go to paddle fish to get some seafood since we were in Florida coming from Chicago! I started with the spicy margarita they had to offer. I think it's the best spicy margarita I've had. It was very smoky, which is something different for me. The black salt added a great touch. It is called the "not everyone's margarita" for a reason! I love it though. We received free bread and butter. The bread was actually very dry, I only had one bite. The butter was just plain and cold. My boyfriend used the bread and dipped it into his clam chowder because we didn't like the bread on its own or with the butter. The crab ceviche was okay, we found it overly sour. It wasn't terrible, we ate it all! The crispy shrimp was delicious. It seems to be fresh shrimp and not frozen. I could tell by the texture of the shrimp. The clam linguine was delicious. The clam they had were very brittle so there were little pieces of the shell in the pasta. It was hard to eat because we would get little pieces of shells in our mouth all the time! Otherwise the pasta and the meat of the clams tasted great. We still ate the whole thing, it just took some time to eat it so we wouldn't swallow any shell pieces! Overall, I think this restaurant is okay. On this visit I got the crawfish etouffee and even with the shrimp in it with the crawfish tails it is amazing. Not as spicy as I would like but people like my wife who don't like a lot of spice it is so flavorful and nice. The rice is good quality too. My wife and father got different pasta dishes but I could tell by how much they were talking about it that they loved it. Finally after years of coming to Disney Springs and wanting to try this place, me and my wife finally did. We checked in for our reservation a little early and were seated quickly upon arrival. We sat on the second floor near a window and the view was great, being able to see the rainforest Cafe nearby have their volcano erupt with fire. Our waitress was very friendly and introduced herself quickly while getting our drink orders and explaining a few of the specials they had while we were there. We were given bread for the table while we looked at the menu. The bread was super soft and very easy to pull apart, with butter it was perfect and we asked for more bread! For the appetizer we ordered the fried green tomatoes, and yes they were phenomenal, however for the price point of what they were, you should get 4 of them instead of 3,but overall the crunch of the coating and the dressing on it was superb. The corn on top was fresh but didn't bring much to the dish overall. For my main dish, I decided to get the Etoufee. When it came out, I was shocked at the size of it, I was not expecting that for the price! The shrimp and crawfish were coated perfectly and everytime I took a bite, there was some seafood on it, so I know there was an insane amount of it in the dish! The sauce had a nice spice to it without it being overwhelming for the dish overall. The only thing I didn't like was the edges of the dish, the rice, were a little too crispy and a couple times I needed to pick out some rice because it was either under/over cooked so I couldn't bite into it. Was looking for seafood dinner around Orlando and stumbled upon paddlefish. Easy to make last minute reservations, which I highly recommend since it's in Disney springs and can get packed during peak dinner hours. Kid friendly! They loved that they were eating on a boat lol the kids menu portions were large! And I mean, honestly, I could have eaten the kids pasta dish for my own meal. Allergy friendly! I didn't see too much info on the menu regarding allergies which made me worried there wouldn't be anything for my dairy-free, peanut-free child. But the server immediately asked about allergies after we were seated and made sure the kitchen knew to not cross contaminate foods. We also ordered the linguine with clams and the flounder. The linguine was really good and light. The flounder was good, but their description "nước chấm" didn't make sense. It should have said fish sauce, or "nước mắm" so you could gauge how salty it may have been. We also ordered oysters on the half shell, which tasted fresh. If you have kids, I recommend reviewing the menu beforehand so you can order as soon as you're seated for those hungry kiddos, especially after a long day of being out and about. Excited to arrived but sad to find out we were placed at the back of the restaurant with NO VIEW. we had four kids, I get it but it doesn't mean us adults don't want a meal with a view. The large adult party in the same area was super loud and there was no noise control by staff. Our Asian server lady was very friendly. Took our drink orders promptly. Allowed us to order for the kids early so they wouldn't cause a ruckus. Orders included. Two white pastas and a hot dog for the kids. Two ribeyes. One filet. One fried shrimp and one salmon salad. Apps were guac and calamari. All the entrees and APPS were delicious and I loved how they served bread pre meal. 18% auto tacked on gratuity for our party of 9. Bill came out to $400+. Paddlefish was a very disappointing experience. We picked the restaurant based on recommendations from others. It is deep in Disney Springs. The restaurant is a conversion from the old Empress Lily. While I cannot judge their inability to seat us early, I can judge the fact that it was 70 Minutes from being seated until art entrees were served. Our server was generally inattentive. The food was good, but it wasn't great. It was certainly not enough to make up for 3 hours to have a simple dinner. Mama told you never judge a book by its cover. Their complimentary bread which I didn't get a picture of wasn't really good either, it's not fluffy and tasteful. The calamari appetizer was really good. I honestly wouldn't recommend anyone to eat here. The food standards should match the prices. If you're going to charge more which I don't mind, I want to get quality food and be able to brag about the restaurant but in this case I cannot. It's styled to look like a boat, so it has a cute element to it. I ordered an extra dirty martini (not on the menu but they have a full bar), a Caesar salad, and the shrimp and grits! This is the kind of place that is really hard to get a table and I'd recommend getting a reservation for. I am sorry to say, however, I was expecting more -- Our reservation didn't go through in-spite of me having a confirmation number. The people were nice though, and the service was accommodating and were able to get us a table after a short enough wait. Service was good which was very nice. I will give praise for the decoration and style because it makes you feel like you're in a high-end place. There is also a very nice view of the water near the tables. However, the place's layout can be a little confusing. The women's bathroom (which would intuitively be near the men's) is a walk away around a corner from the men's and my friend got lost trying to find it. What matters most about a restaurant is the food. My table ordered the crab guacamole, shrimp spaghettis, pork chop, and stuffed cod. Overall, the food was not great: the shrimp had cherry tomatoes that I personally think gave an unnecessary burst of flavor that didn't pair well with the whole dish. My friend told me her pork chop (cooked medium) was very chewy, and the stuffing in the stuffed cod felt gross. We really wanted to like the place, but overall it was very underwhelming. read more

The restaurant has a stunning exterior and resembles a boat. The interior is pretty nice as well, and we were lucky to get a window table. Since we weren't super hungry, we decided to share a couple appetizers between the three of us. We decided to get the crab fries, crab cake, poke, and calamari. The calamari was nice and crispy and a decent sized portion. I thought the crab cake was pretty good too, wasn't too bready and could taste the crab meat. The poke was probably my least favorite of the shareables. There wasn't a ton of meat and it was cubes very small. The chips were seasoned though, which was nice as you don't see seasoned chips often. My favorite was definitely the crab fries. The sauce it came with was tasty (kind of thousand island-y) and there was a good amount of crab that was topped on the fries. I haven't had crab topped fries before and I think more places should definitely serve this dish! One thing that disappointed us was the service. Our water was never refilled during our entire meal - it was only refilled finally when we asked for the check. We tried to flag down a server multiple times for water and found it quite difficult to get their attention. The place is also really loud so if you want to have an initiate conversation this is probably not the place as you'll have difficulty hearing each other. read more

We had a private event at Paddlefish in December in the lounge area of the restaurant. We worked with Kate and Jasmine on the planning of the event and both were easy to deal with and professional. The day of the event went smoothly and everything was handled exceptionally well by the restaurant. The servers that we had assigned to our event were excellent, Lindsey, Tyler and Curt made everyone feel welcome and were excellent at their jobs. Many guests commented at how great the service was. Likewise, the food was all phenomenal. We had the seafood towers, which were fresh and tasty. The caprese salad, which was really delicious and our entrees were the filet, shrimp pasta and the Mahi Mahi. The filets and Mahi were the favorites. The dessert trio was good too, with the cheesecake and key lime being the better of the three; the brownie was a bit dry and boring. We had a Kris Kringle cake from Gideons delivered, which was also excellent. Overall, we couldn't be happier with how the event turned out. It was a great space, meal and service. Everything about our experience here was top notch! The food, and service were both incredible. Alison was our server and she made wonderful recommendations for both food and drink to try. I ordered the Key Lime Spritz drink which was different yet so good and even had a refreshing taste to it. The fried green tomatoes come with elote and queso fresco which gives them a unique spin to traditional fried green tomatoes. They were so good that we got two orders! The calamari was decent. It came with shishito peppers, and a sauce that I can't say I loved. For dinner the stuffed cod is something I HIGHLY recommend. It is stuffed with shrimp and scallop corn bread stuffing, and comes with asparagus, red potatoes, and a mustard cream sauce. The flavors are outstanding. Although I didn't take a picture of the beautiful view, it was great. We were seated on the second floor by the window.
