Disney Spring is a madhouse of packed walkways, crazy lines and overpriced restaurants serving okay food. We went to Paddlefish because it was the only one that we could make a reservation at a time we wanted..but when we showed up for our reservation, we ended up waiting 30more mins for our table. Cue the Seinfeld episode of you know how to take a reservation... The restaurant from the outside looks beautiful, and inside was not as nice but still had class. We were on the third floor so I have to complain about the washrooms. The men's washroom had one toilet stale!?!? It was super strange to wait in line at a men's room to use one toilet. It looked like the pulled the urinal off the wall. Our waitress was fine but slow but obviously she had too many tables. The bread came out super quick and was very good. The cocktails were fantastic...but the mains were just okay. My shrimp pasta was great, kids linguine and chicken fingers were fine...but my wife's stuff cod was not warm and plain. My other daughter ordered the salad with salmon but it was so heavily salted that she couldn't eat it. We had to complain and the manager was great and offered to remake the meal, but we were short on time so they didn't charge us for the 2 mains which was fair. Seafood in Disney Springs was not my first choice, but it was a good spot to sit down and enjoy a nice meal with co-workers. Not the cheapest spot or best view (unless you sit outside) I found Paddlefish to excel in their service. Yelp tip: Upper deck seating is only open during dinner service and tables for larger groups, we had 15 people, will be seated inside. The outdoor tables do not move. I split the shrimp pasta and the shrimp po' boy and I would vote the pasta over the sandwich. The flavor of the crab and shrimp worked well with a pasta and the portion size was great. There was lots of food and we ordered the crab fries and calamari. The crab fries were superb and came with this sauce that was tangy and just right. Surprisingly they gave ample amounts of crab and it didn't taste fishy. The calamari was standard and actually less than I expected. Overall if you want a quiet place to rest your feet, get some good service, and get a seafood fix then come here. They do have non-seafood items like the pork chop, pictured here, but nothing to rave about. read more

It's been several years since I dined at Paddlefish, so decided it was time for a return visit. We were seated along the windows which provided a wonderful view of the water and the amphicars. We started with the Crab Fries, French fries with remoulade sauce and crab meat. This is a great starter with plenty of crab meat. We shared a crab cake sandwich and Blue crab ceviche. The one down thing about the sandwich is it's topped with American cheese. Otherwise the sandwich had great flavor and is served with house made chips. The ceviche is served "dry" without the extra tomato and lime juice. There is plenty of crab, avocado, onion and tomato and is served with seasoned tortilla chips to eat the ceviche with. Claudia was our server and took wonderful care of us. She noticed the tortilla chips served were from the last of the batch with more broken chips and replaced them. read more

We usually eat at Boathouse when we're in Disney Springs but we struggled to get a reservation on the day we wanted - so we ended up next door at Paddlefish for dinner. We should have known by the lack of wait that something was up. Overall, food was just alright. Some things were a little too salty, some seemed to be missing a seasoning or other... just a little disappointing. Nothing was done WRONG but at the same time, nothing was memorable. However, I did really enjoy my scallop entree, but my photo didn't do it justice since presentation was just ok. I would definitely recommend Boathouse over Paddlefish any day, but if you don't want to wait, Paddlefish still serves up some fresh seafood that may be worth your while. read more

Great service from Ryan. Beautiful views of the water, perfect for a date night! The fried green tomatoes with elote, queso fresco and remoulade was a great combo! I am an elote lover so I would definitely recommend this as it pairs so well with the friend green tomatoes. As a southerner, I'm not surprised that I didn't love the crawfish and shrimp etouffee. Our reservation had fallen through at another restaurant so this was our backup on a Saturday night when everything else was over an hour wait. We were seated almost immediately as a walk-in with quick and attentive service. We had a great view from our table of the waterfront and overall the ambiance felt elevated and welcoming and the boat aesthetic was fun. As for food we got the seafood tower, linguine & clams, and ribeye along with free bread all to share between 2 people. The portions were definitely larger than expected and we left full with leftovers. For drinks we got the house sangria and paddlefish red wine Free bread - pretty standard dinner roll type bread but very soft Seafood tower - advertised to serve 4 probably more comfortably serves 3 as it comes with 6 oysters, 8 shrimp, ahi poke, and crab ceviche with a generous side of chips and saltines. Everything in this was quite delicious except the crab ceviche was pretty bland and I definitely wouldn't order it if it were on its own. Other than that the oysters were very fresh, shrimps were well cooked, and the tuna was surprisingly fresh and well seasoned (as someone from Hawaii I was impressed) Linguine & clams - the noodles itself were quite bland and tasted mostly like a standard butter pasta alone but the clams were very flavorful so together it made for a pretty decent dish. We started eating the pasta while scooping up the leftover "clam juice" in the pasta to accompany it and that helped a lot with the flavor. Overall satisfying and would order again Ribeye - had a decent amount of fat if you're into that and came with potatoes and steak sauce. I wouldn't say it was anything groundbreaking but a fine dish if you're craving a steak House sangria - fruity and delicious! Family weekend get away and came here without a reservation with only a 30-40 min wait for a table. Not bad for a busy Saturday night in Disney springs. Food was great, started off with the crab cake and it was very tasty and seasoned well. My wife got the stuffed cod, top notch probably one of there best dishes I tried a few bites and I wish I had gotten that. I had the mahi it was good slightly over cooked but no complaints on a busy Saturday, kiddo got the seafood boil again it was cooked perfectly, we prefer it a little spicier but still was very good. I went here on a whim, it was my cousins birthday & she always wanted to try this place. We really wanted to sit near the window for the view but they told us there were no available tables. Once we got upstairs, we noticed how many tables were available near the windows that weren't occupied, we were disappointed but we didn't let that ruin our visit. I was on a very strict diet at the time so I only had fruit & water. I was surprised at how expensive the bottled water was and they didn't even mention the price when we asked for water. We met our friends at Paddlefish to celebrate the wife's birthday. We made the reservation before we learned about the 25% discount for Floridians - that was a bonus. Alison was our wait staff, and she was amazing. Without asking she filled our water glasses. The Bloody Mary was beautiful with 3 shrimp, a pepper and lemon on a stick on top! Our food was very good. The birthday girl had snow crab and left nothing on her plate but the empty shells. Her husband and I had the stuffed cod. It was absolutely divine! The asparagus was cooked perfectly, and the red potatoes were very good. Husband enjoyed his fried shrimp & fries, but hated the lukewarm cabbage slaw. For my friend's birthday, Allison brought to the table a chocolate mousse with a candle in it. Our friend was very pleased and shared it with all of us. Enjoyed a pretty tasty meal and fun group dining experience with my work team at Paddlefish this week. Our server handled our table of 15 with excellence, she was able to ensure the meals were out in a timely fashion and every order was correct. We split several appetizers at the table, the Lump Crab Guacamole (really fresh tasting and great portion size, generous amount of crab - worth the $34 if you're splitting!) and the Beef Skewers with pickled onion, well cooked and flavorful. The warm house bread with creamy butter was a nice touch. My meal, the Scallop Dish, featured 4 U10 scallops atop a creamy, buttery cauliflower puree...VERY buttery. It tasted great but a little greasy. Scallops were perfectly seared, green beans were undercooked. Many of my teammates had the steak offerings - either the filet or ribeye and none were blown away by the steak. A few did not like the mashed potatoes flavor or consistency. Paddlefish is an upscale restaurant in Disney Springs that offers a solid menu with above average service. I wouldn't say the quality of food was anything spectacular, however the experience and Disney charm definitely make it worth visiting. We had lunch and arrived shortly after opening, with reservations, and were seated very quickly. Our waitress was spectacular and the restaurant's design was very unique. My recommendation would be to spice up the menu a little, but also understand they need to cater to a broad audience. The food was reasonably priced and the portions were large. A full bar is offered and Paddlefish is kid friendly. Recommend the experience if you are in Disney Springs looking for an upscale meal. read more

Really hate writing negative reviews but this place was not the place to go for a birthday dinner. My partner and I both paid $55 for a Filet Mignon cooked medium well and they both were grossly undercooked. When I mentioned this to the waiter, the manager never came out to apologize. Generally, not my first choice when dining in downtown Disney Springs but they have good seafood food. I would stay away from the steaks though. The theme is comfortable, but it is also cumbersome with the rooms, stairs and in and outs of walking on a boat. The service is on par and the wait times are average and it can get busy, but always because it's just so big. if you wanna get away from all the high energy and huddle and bustle of the other restaurants and have a large group in this place might be for you. Hate to say it but this is the first restaurant in a long time where we sent things back. We got both of pasta dishes (Linguine and Clams, and Shrimp Pasta) and both were insufferably bland. They were also watery like they were a soup? We were wondering if something went wrong, so we mentioned the problems to our server - who was beyond nice - and she tried to get us some extra sauce from the back to see if it would help. We actually had a chuckle about what if they just brought more bland, soup-consistency broth out, but then that's exactly what happened :( they brought out basically the same unfortunate soup. At the end we got a partial discount and ate almost none of it, but we were being nice and probably should've asked for a full discount or a replacement dinner. Again, I do want to stress our server was extremely gracious. I hope she finds somewhere that deserves her better than this restaurant. A couple other members of our group got non-seafood dishes, which were OK. But for the high prices, I think we were all dissatisfied. About the only worthwhile thing here were the cocktails, although those weren't a bargain, either. Unfortunately until this restaurant is operated by someone else, we won't be back. Please note that their menus at lunch versus dinner are a little bit different. However, they still have majority of the same items minus the burger. We decided to try this place out my boyfriend and I,and honestly, it was just okay. A little tip: don't come an hour or so before closing. We had family in town and went to Paddlefish to celebrate a special occasion. Reservations were available on OpenTable and the Disney app/website. When we arrived, there was a big crowd in the waiting area, but we didn't have to wait too long to be seated after our arrival. While we waited, we walked out on the back deck that gave a great view of Disney Springs and the vintage amphicars boating in the lake. I ordered the Captain Handsome cocktail, which tasted quite refreshing. Our server brought us a complimentary bread dish with pull-apart rolls to start. For my entree, I ordered the Etouffee. It had a lot of shrimp and crawfish in a creamy sauce over rice. It was definitely a good choice. I was surprised my partner ordered the Shrimp Pasta dish instead of Mahi or Shrimp & Grits, his usual go-tos. And, as it turns out, he was a bit disappointed. The Shrimp Pasta dish was wasn't very flavorful. It was a bit bland, lacking in spices. I've dined at the past incarnations of this location (Empress Lilly, Fulton's Crab House), but this was our first time for Paddlefish. It just wasn't like wow. It's definitely like an over hype seafood place at Disney Springs and the crazy thing is for being dizzy. They don't even have a designated fryer so you can enjoy french fries literally at every restaurant add Disney like every park. Every place has a designated fire literally but here.. So we started with the beef skewers which their marinade has wheat in it, which is ridiculous. It's steak that's crazy so my husband had that for a starter. I had the avocado crab dip with cucumbers because obviously they don't have gluten-free tortillas which is ridiculous. It's 2025. Nobody wants guacamole with cucumbers. I'm sorry that's ridiculous. Like it is not that hard to have gluten-free tortilla chips. So we did a seafood boil we got the snow crab, which was literally probably the best thing they have there. You get a decent amount for the price comes with potatoes and corn like amazing and then the shrimp which was disgusting. The shrimp had the poop line in it still had no flavor. They tasted disgusting. And then we shared a regular steak with no nothing on it because you know wheat is a major issue here which was extremely tough and hard and rubbery and also not great. literally like there's 1 million other places I would much rather go eat at at Disney Springs and come here again. read more

Like all tourists suffering in the Florida summer heat (like seriously, how do you Floridians live like this, it's so absurdly oppressive), we find respite in the air conditioned venues doting the state and Paddlefish offered a particularly cold blast of AC. While visiting Disney Springs with my girlfriend, we heard the Rumblies in Our Tumblies pretty early due to a small breakfast and decided to find a place to eat. There are so many restaurants in Disney Springs. How does one pick? By the shape of the restaurant! Ok, not really, but the Paddlefish is cool in that it is shaped like a paddle ship river cruise, but it is definitely concreted into the manmade lake it sits in, for those anxious about seasickness. Being one of the first guests at opening on a weekday, it was easy to get a table in the sparsely occupied restaurant. Looking at Yelp (Of course!), the stuffed cod came highly recommended and it was delicious. Seared flakey white cod, with a buttery cornbread stuffing, with perfectly tender potatoes, I was a happy camper. A tad bit on the high end, but hey, it's a tourist tax in a tourist town. We also got the watercress salad with chicken, which was a bit too bitter for tastes and it would have been nice in the chicken was room temperature rather than cold. The sheets of cheese were a nice touch and the dressing was delicious. To counter the bitterness of the watercress, we also shared a cup of clam chowder, which was rich, clammy, and creamy. Can't go wrong there. Staff was polite, bathrooms were very clean, and the whole river nautical ambience was quite nice. We were in town for my second oldest daughters cheer competition however we ended up at this fine establishment to celebrate my oldest daughters 15th birthday. The place is massive and has 3 tiers for seating and is really cool as it is an actually massive boat and gives you lovely indoor out outdoor views of the Disney springs and the water. It was a bit rainy this night so sat inside next to a window by the water. As you can imagine from being in Disney springs and on a giant cruise like Ship this is a pricey and elegant place. Our service here was very top notch and very quick. We started off with an appetizer of calamari and like everyone else we received complementary rolls. The rolls were very soft and had good flavor. We all enjoyed the calamari was good and had nice flavor. It also had some breaded jalapeños mixed in so for those who do not like spice should beware of that. For our entrees my wife got a Caprese salad and Shrimp pasta , the birthday girl the Snow crab and I personally got the Ribeye which came with a signature steak sauce. We all enjoyed our meals quite a bit. The wife enjoyed the caprese salad but said she regrets salting it because the mozzarella was pretty salty. Her shrimp pasta she had no complaints. The birthday girl loved her snow crab. My ribeye was tasty and tender. They didn't quite cool it the way I ordered it (medium Rare) but it was still a good steak. The sauce had a nice tangy flavor as well. Overall a very fine and enjoyable birthday celebration that I'm sure my daughter will remember. Service, ambience, mood and food were all top notch. We had 5 people and had been to Paddlefish before with great results, but this experience was different. We had the octopus appetizer, it was very chewy and hard to cut so nor prepared correctly. We have had Octopus before and how it was if prepared right. My wife ordered the crab cakes, they had a strange smell and taste like it came from a can, she could not eat it. My daughter ordered the ceviche and it was worse than the crab cakes. The ceviche actually tasted like it came from the can. Son in law had a steak that was good, grandson had the salmon and he ate all. I had the stuffed cod and it was also good. The servers were good, checking on us occasionally. Our waiter-forgot her name, was great, I asked her for recommendations in which she provided and they were delicious. Ambiance was also nice. The restaurant is on Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs, it is on the water. The Mayan Empress drink was absolutely delicious, the mocktail strawberry basil lemonade was also good. We had calamari and the lobster corn dogs for appetizer which was so good, then the shrimp pastas was also great, the sauce was yummy and put the dish together. The ribeye was good but it needed a little more seasoning, maybe a garlic butter sauce or something but overall everything was good. I would say about 8/10. Will visit again read more
