    Padrino's -- stromboli
    L L.

Stromboli was decent. Tasty side sauce, oily crust, good ratio of cheese and pepperoni filling. It hit the spot before a night hike owl prowl at Norristown Farm Park, and that was all it needed to do. My kid's chicken fingers were not tasty, crust left a bitter taste in your mouth (like buttermilk which to me, is vile), and the fries are very cheap quality batter dipped junk that taste like "potato flavor substance". The trend used to be the hand cut real potatoes, now this nonsense is like the Fentanyl of fries. But package it up like it's a "foodie" fad and voila, cope with inflation by selling crap to masses. Place packed on a Friday and staff behaved decent, and food on time.

    Stromboli

So I recently learned that ownership changed after picking up my food. I have been going to Padrinos for years. I typically get the steak Stromboli. The dough was good but there was not much meat. Lots and lots of cheese, which is a huge difference than how the prior owners used to make it. I did order the marinara sauce and meat balls which we did enjoy. I also ordered the hot wings, which were meaty but they were very mild in spice. I do hope it gets better.

My favorite pizza spot. Chicken bacon ranch Sicilian is amazing! I go there 3-4 times a week. They never disappoint. Must try!

Best pizza in the area, great customer service. I'm not a huge fan of their hoagies or salads but their pizza is awesome.

This was on a Saturday night this time whereas our 5-star experience was on a weekday. Tonight the service was the exact opposite. Our servers name on the check was Kat, I believe here name was Katerina. She seemed to have an attitude as if she didn't want to be there. Literally she did the ABSOLUTE bare minimum. The food tonight was a huge disappointment. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Scallops which came with a side of pasta with mussels. The shrimp were beyond overcooked and the mussels were huge but seemed undercooked. The entire dish was cold to lukewarm. My wife's chicken dish was not hot either. Bread came after our soup and salads but all the other tables were given bread before. From this experience alone, I will have a hard time deciding to go back, especially on a weekend. It's such a shame because when my family really likes a local place, we tend to visit almost weekly. Also, by seeing that none of their reviews have a response from the business, I will assume the reviews aren't paid much attention too. *********************** First time dining here. We absolutely enjoyed our meals. Food was amazing and our server Aubrey was very efficient, friendly and on top of all aspects of our dining experience. We will definitely be back. *********************

Not only was the staff extremely friendly and took the time to talk to me about where they were from, a bit about their lives, and even more, they also have their own beers specifically brewed for the restaurant by a local brewery. A very cool touch for a little place that you wouldn't expect to have something as unique as that. The menu is extensive; very extensive. It was long and when we take everyone out with us, it is usually almost impossible to find a place that everyone can enjoy equally, especially because Italian is generally a no go for one of our party. So this was a refreshing change as this is definitely an Italian place with both staples and different takes on dishes from all the different regions of Italy. The fact that this is also a pizzeria and does most of its business as take out, but also has this great sit-down restaurant as a totally different experience is such a bonus. Everything I had was outstanding with the Mussels Fra Diavolo being perfectly cooked, great sauce. Pasta alongside it was prepared exactly "to the tooth". While we are not rushing out immediately to go back, because there are so many choices for Italian in the area, along with several new places we have not tried, if we are around Egypt Rd. and want a great meal at a very reasonable price for what you get, Nonna's would definitely be a place that would be up for consideration. My advice is to ignore the negative reviews, as that is all too common when dealing with a pizza joint, especially with all the issues that can arrive with pick up and delivery, and give them a shot and sit down to dine and try it out!

When I ordered it, I asked the staff to wrap the crap out of it in foil as I was sticking it in luggage (which they so lovingly did) and flying back home with it. So I actually waited to try it until it endured 8 hours of travel squashed in my backpack. I then reheated it in my toaster oven and had low expectations considering everything this day old sandwich had been through, and it turned out to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. If I'm ever back in the area, I will definelty be trying this sandwich fresh to see if it could possibly be any better. While most of the patrons here stop by to watch a game while enjoying a glass of beer, and the interior is quite small. However, it's a nice local spot to visit and you can call in to get take-out or order online via DoorDash or Uber eats. Of note, if you dine on or call to order, they are a cash-only on Mondays and Tuesdays. There is a small parking lot next to the bar, so you don't have to go around the neighborhood looking for parking. I haven't stayed around to dine in, but it has a very traditional dive bar vibe. So if you're looking for something simple, this seems like a good place for that.
