After moving to the west coast, I've missed the food on the east coast/South so much! I went on a work dinner while in town for training and this was the perfect first place to stop and grab food during my trip! Since it was a Monday night I was not expecting the restaurant to be busy and it wasn't. Plenty of open parking, no wait at all, and quick to be served. I ordered the smoked brisket which came on top of burnt end hash, collard greens, and topped with a bbq sauce/gravy. The brisket was so tender and a really thick cut. I typically like leaner cuts of meat and the meat was perfect, not too much fat. The sauce also complimented really nicely. The burnt end hash was also really good. The potatoes were tender and soaked up some of the juices from the greens and sauce. The greens were cooked perfectly. Not too soft and still had some crunch to them. They had a lot of flavor and had a touch of sweetness. I would get a bowl of them to eat on its own for sure. My coworker got the pork chop with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans which she said was really good. Her plate was vibrant in color from the vegetables and the pork chop looked well prepared. For dessert we shared the banana bread pudding with strawberry ice cream. The bread budding came out warm which was perfect to go with the ice cream which tasted homemade. I'm a sucker for anything strawberry though. The bread pudding had slices of banana throughout and held together well when eaten with the ice cream. Service throughout the evening was good. We were checked on and brought refills without having to flag down the waiter. Overall it was a great experience. I know I'll be back to RDU at some point so I'll be sure to come back. read more

The food was very good today. I had the the House burger, MR, which I always worry about because in general they are always overcooked. Then its the whole bit about sending it back and the awesome movie "Waiting", so you get extra sauce, lol. Or conversely, you order lower than you wanted to and it walks onto your plate. This was a perfect medium rare, no extra sauce needed. Felt like I wanted the FF instead of chips, so I got them with a side of ranch and hot buffalo (my dealio). The fries were hot and Crispy, and everything on my end was good. The only negative was that they were out of my favorite draft, "Maine Lunch", but it is very popular, and used to be only found in Maine or Massachusetts, so that's a pass. My mate got the crab cakes which looked good, and I had a little bite, and pretty tasty for being out of the Chesapeake area. The place is always clean and comfortable, not to light, not too dark. Sat at the bar which has plenty of bar tables as well, so it works if you dart in for lunch, which gets pretty busy for a party of over 2. They've been working towards sustainability for a while (compostable packaging, recycling food etc) with being LEED certified. A lot of people don't know what that means but essentially it's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design a commitment to try and be as environmentally friendly as possible. I just wanted to point that out! Now the review: I stopped by for an early dinner and ordered the Chicken Salad Wrap, which came loaded with lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, and a Texas Pete mayo wrapped in a flour tortilla. It was fresh, filling, and well put together, with the bacon adding a nice smoky bite. The sweet potato fries were also pretty decent. Also this time I tried their house cocktail, "The Local" just how it comes with Conniption Kinship Gin, tonic, lime‑rosemary simple syrup, and a rosemary sprig. Really great experience at Page Road Grill last night! Our server -- Claudia? -- was wonderful. She was attentive without being overbearing. She immediately brought us waters and took our drink orders. I'm not a big gin fan but I decided to try The Local. My husband had the jalapeno margarita. Both were fantastic. Mine was strong -- definitely a sipper. The margaritas had that delightful amount of heat that hit you in the throat instead of the tongue. I decided to go with the salad special for my entree and add salmon. It was delightful -- a unique salad with a southern mix of bacon, black eyed peas and field greens. Our service (Lynea) was helpful, explaining which meals suited our demands and what the terms were that we didn't understand. I highly recommend the Shrimp Risotto; it was unbelievably creamy and flavorful with just a hint of heat. My husband ordered The Pork Shank. Great food for a decent price! We enjoyed the crab dip, the roasted chicken entree, and the risotto with shrimp. The crab dip had a crumb topping which was different but it was delicious, served with warm pita bread. The risotto was very flavorful and filling. The side options aren't listed but the server would read them out to you. The staff was friendly and helpful. She kept referring to us as "friends" which was pleasant. Full bar but not many mocktail options as they don't have a lot of syrups and garnishes. We ordered Shirley temples and with sprite and ginger ale but the cocktails and wine selection were decent. I'm never sure what to make of Page Road Grill. From the outside, it could be anything -- a warehouse, an office, even an Aldi. But inside is a really good restaurant, with good service and a tasty southern influenced menu. My go-to here is nearly always a salad, because the salads here are phenomenal. There's always some kind of seasonal salad that incorporates greens, nuts, fruit, cheese, and something else interesting, with a "why didn't I think of that" dressing. They know what works and it gives me ideas for salads to have at home. But the burgers are also good, the brussels sprout appetizer is amazing, and I had some scallops here once that were great. This is a popular RTP spot that can get noisy at lunchtime, but if you go later, the service is attentive and the setting becomes more relaxing. And there's a nice hybrid indoor/outdoor space that provides fresh air with protection from wind and rain. Because of the unassuming exterior, it's easy to forget that this place even exists. But it does, and as the weather warms up and you're craving a really great lunch salad, this is the place to go. read more

The ambiance is good. Open industrial space with a warm environment. Staff is attentive and even allowed me to sample the soup before I ordered. My favorite menu items are the Brussel sprouts and kale salad. I added a medium rare piece of salmon to salad that was prepared to perfection- not undercooked or overcooked. The house-made chips were flavorful and a pleasant surprise. Service was friendly, but frankly a bit slow given that many, if not most, of the Customers were obviously on a lunch break from work. Good menu options and great service! We had my friend's surprise birthday dinner here and one of their private spaces. My friend's husband made the arrangements, but I arrived early to help decorate the space. The staff and manager were extremely helpful and friendly. They helped me bring in the decor and get everything set up. The location is nice and has a great vibe for an intimate dinner or a group dinner. The parking lot has plenty of parking in their private lot. The menu options are great! I ordered the Grain Salad with a Crab Cake and it was DELICIOUS!!! I wouldn't not have even imagined that putting all of the different flavors together would end up complimenting each other so well. I was visiting my mother and she and mention some of her friends and her had enjoyed a lunch at Page Road Grill in the past, so I figured we would give it a try, especially since it was so hard to find a open dinner reservation on the Saturday night before Easter. As I walked in, I was surprised how empty the restaurant appeared. It seemed like they had one person both hosting and waiting tables, although we eventually realized there was a second server. But it was very clean and the atmosphere felt warm and relaxing thanks to art on the wall. I think my favorite part of this restaurant was the music; they had a great variety of country, mellow rock, and Americana folk music. The beer variety was pretty solid with some local brews, and I was allowed to have a sample of a local pale ale. But when a draft was brought to me, there was no head on it at all, which really hinders the flavor of the beer. If you work in that kind of a restaurant, I'm sorry, but you have to know how to pour a draft beer properly. Their menu is quite limited, they only have three appetizers and five salads to go with three deserts and a variety of entrees. Typically I don't mind that because it means they can focus on refining a few dishes and doing them well. For my meal, I had a bone in pork chop with a peach topping, roasted potatoes and creamed corn. It was a fine pork chop dish, cooked juicy and decently seasoned. I felt the potatoes needed a little something extra, such as fresh herbs. Mom had the shrimp and grits with bacon, vegetables and a mushroom cream sauce and she seemed to enjoy it. For a beer, two glasses of wine, and two entrees, our total came close to $95. No bread, no included salad or soup. I had an ok experience, but there are too many other restaurants worth trying in the area before I return here. read more

It is very convenient, close to office, and if you don't want to cook, you think this a good optio. However, last take out made me said no more. I got the Risotto with Crab cake. Crab cake was greasy and burnt, slapped right on the Risotto, so was also soggy. Also got the Buffalo bites, and they put the very fine sliced celery in the buffalo sauce and celery needless to say was not crisp. I guess they really don't care about take out orders. I was surprised it wasn't busier at the time we were there but at least the service was quick, perhaps as a result. The waiter for our table was attentive and professional. He made sure everyone had a glass of water and I liked that the businesses uses paper straws. Everyone ordered appetizers including hummus, crab dip, and salads. I personally had the grain salad. I liked it for the most part but I do believe it needed more cranberries to really set it off. As an entree, I had the ribeye steak. I liked it a lot. The waiter suggested getting the potatoes mashed instead of roasted and I stand by his suggestion. It also came with asparagus. Others in my party had the smoked brisket, the veggie burger, the pork chop, French fries, and the chicken. I let one person taste my steak in exchange for a taste of the brisket. She felt strongly that the steak was better than the brisket, which aligns with the waiter's comment that the steak is the best thing on the menu. Everyone enjoyed their food though. [I live in San Diego and miss Southern cuisine after living in Atlanta for 11 years.] This is a wonderful place to eat with a very cool industrial-looking theme and really very good food! I'm reviewing my carry out order of roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli. First of all the service was great and quick. However, I'm really disappointed in the food. It was my fault because I didn't realize it was a thigh and a leg roasted chicken. I'm not partial to thighs. But it just wasn't good. The texture wasn't what I expected and it just didn't taste good. The cream potatoes were also disappointment, and and I love me some cream potatoes so I won't be that again. I've only there a couple of times last time I had salmon and it was really good so I wouldn't recommend the roasted chicken. read more

This spot is a perfect meeting place for business professionals in the RTP area. The ambiance is so nice. There is a huge skylight in the middle of the building providing natural lighting. The décor is super sweet and the service we received was grade A. On top of a great experience was amazing food. I had the Veggie burger which was so tasty. Its super common to grab a dry luke warm veggie burg. This one... no... not this one. It was hot and moist. It wasn't dry and cold. I've been wanting to check out Page Road Grill since it opened and finally got a chance when I attended a seminar. Even though it was lunch time we were served from the dinner menu and I've been talking about it for days since! First of all the staff is super welcoming, cordial, and attentive. I don't think you could ask for more! I was grateful we were in the private room because the place was packed and it gets loud. The private room did get pretty warm, but otherwise it was comfortable. The meal started with a simple salad of field greens, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, and a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. There was a choice of four entrees that all sounded wonderful. I choose the roasted chicken on top of mashed Yukon potatoes with fennel-sage jus and tender green beans. The entire dish was delicious! For dessert I had a flourless chocolate torte that was very good and Very rich! It was all such a good meal from start to finish that I wanted to return ASAP. Hopefully I will - Soon! read more

We made reservations just to be safe since our guests had a 2pm flight. We were done within an hour (note this place is close to RDU airport as well). The parking here is really good and the food is good American food. We started with the Buffalo bites which are basically fried chicken bites tossed in Buffalo sauce, classic & yummy. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which had blue cheese and grilled onions on it. I thought it was pretty yummy and filling with the sweet potato fries. Everyone else at the table got the brisket sandwich and thought it was good! We finished with the banana bread pudding which was reallyyyy good. Overall this place ace is a great lunch spot if you work in the area. We always come in (without a reservation) and they always manage to find us a table during the busy lunch hour. Now the food: this time I had the chicken salad wrap with sweet potato fries. Overall very flavorful and I must say a huge portion for lunch! I've also previously had the crap cakes which were super small but again tasted great. Only complaint is the paper straws have a strong taste to them. Other places don't have this problem.
