The indoor seating is nice but if you're lucky to get one of the outdoor seats, it's got a beautiful view of the ocean. The service both times was ver good. I think this is one of the nicest Sunday brunches anywhere. The cost is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. The quality of the shellfish, sushi and hot proteins are all great. The selection may not be extensive as say a Vegas type buffet, but who needs more choices when what Orchids offers is so great? I would very much look forward to going back.

To be fair, we feel the brunch is good, but dinner is overpriced and the portions are much too small when ordering from a set menu. We hosted a large party with 2 tables and we met with Orchids marketing 4 times on the positioning of the tables and when we arrived for the dinner the 2nd table was not close to the main one at all so we were not able to celebrate with both tables. The salad was fine, but honestly, it was a serving portion fit for a toddler. The bread was okay, not great, not freshly heated, a bit stale. The tomato bisque was too concentrated, though tasty, it should have been thinned before serving. The crouton was fine that topped it. The main entrees of seabass were tiny and dry and not enough sauce to offset the dryness --he steak was just okay, and very, very small. The proteins were not served with anything else on the plate which exaggerated the tiny portion and I heard guests laughing at the tiny portion in the middle of the large plate. Why not serve a green veggie or potato serving with the main? That is cost effective and the guest would have more food. I am a very small eater and I was appalled that the average person there would not have enough to eat. Then the coconut cake came. Tasty, but tiny, again. They cut less than half of the cake that we ordered and boxed the rest up for us to take home! Ridiculous! Should have cut bigger slices the first time. The math was easy and the guests were starving. What an extreme disappointment for almost $4000 after tax and gratuities! Come on, that is a terrible value and I suppose that is a venue tax for having a great view while dining on tiny, tiny portions. We entertain quite a lot and we will not book another dinner here as everyone had to get something to eat after the meal to fill up. I was totally embarrassed and pissed off simultaneously. Save your hard-earned money and go anywhere else and do not host a special dinner here!

My favorite was of course the snow crab legs and their clam chowder, poke and their catch of the day! I went back for seconds on the snow crab legs because I can never get enough of it. I was not thrilled about their prime rib, pancit or ribs because the pancit and ribs had that 5 Chinese spice taste and I'm not a fan of that at all. I want my pancit to taste like pancit! However, their service was nothing short of fabulous. Their waitstaff was so attentive and helpful knowing that it was my first visit. Highly recommend checking this place out and going to the driving range afterwards to digest your food :)

I'm always invited so I don't know what particular days they have music. The entertainment started at 4 PM and if you go at 4:00 be patient because the service is slow but gets better by 5:00. The music was good. We ordered edamame, onions rings and Kalua pig nachos. The edamame was tasty and I liked the onion rings. The kalua pig nachos were OK but too messy for me to enjoy. If you live in the area I do recommend going to listen to the live entertainment.

Review 45 (2026)…read more Breakfast We chose Ala carte at this time. I had Classic Egg Benedicts, loved and enjoyed Poached egg hollandaise sauce over, underneath crispy toasted English muffins. My husband ordered Kahala thin pancakes with maple syrup. We shared. Coffee big pot was on the table, served enough for 2 of us. We were enjoying having breakfast outside the terrace looking at the ocean. So relaxing and feel peaceful. Server was very nice and helpful. Thank you so much. We will be back during staying until 8/23.

When you're driving in to the location it is the driveway to the right before entering g the grand entrance. The restaurant is below ground level and you can enter it from the steps to the right of the main entrance to the hotel. The view is stunning as always. Everyone from the hostess to the waiters and waitresses were all kind and helpful. We went directly to the food that was offered. They had prime roast and omelette station. There was one person working it on a Sunday so the line was quite long. Possibly two people for a weekend brunch might help more. The food wasn't anything extra nor were the selections. We were quite discouraged for what they charge and what you get. Hotel food is a lot like airline food, however it would be great to have better choices. As I said, the view is what you're paying for and the service. Kahala hotel isn't what is used to and had lost a lot of that splendor and top of the line classy feel. I didn't take any food pictures but I'm sure you can find a lot with other yelp reviews.

I see the new huge poster out front, every time I stop at the bakery next door, the family meal with 6 items sounds great, reasonable. I decided to make it easy for me with few stops to grab this for Super Bowl Sunday. I called that morning to place my order. There are no photos of the family set on Yelp so Your welcome, if you decide to order this set, Please think twice, it sounds like a great deal but not. I/my family was very disappointed. I picked the 6 items, now keep in mind it says "Family Meal Deal" when you get your items, family - ? don't think it will be enough to feed your family depending on how many is in your family. I got the 6 items for $55.95 and paid $8. for Chow fun. The 6 item choice I picked were : fish filet ( got the wrong order) roast duck, string beans, ginger chicken, sweet sour pork, and chicken wings. What a surprise when I opened up the bag to set up for our Super Bowl spread, they were cute little take out containers like the kind you would use for leftovers at the Chinese restaurant. They weren't even filled to the top. It was little like sample dishes. Wow. also the food did not taste fresh, all the food I got tasted like they were reheated, except for the chicken wings. The chow fun was a regular portion but it was on the oily side. I hope Hawaii99 Take Out Express takes down the huge poster in front, its very misleading and false advertisement. I have another review to write regarding my family dinners, this will be continued- will update. I just want to get this out there in case you want to get the family meal deal. Its really a joke! Luckily we had other foods at the Super Bowl gathering and also ordered pizza last minute. Sorry family, I am pretty much mad at myself, I outsmarted myself again. ** see my photo of what they call a "family meal deal" in tips**

The Dry Beef Chow Fun was very good and tasty and the noodles were on the thicker side not really thin like some other places, the beef was tender and good size slices. The portion size of the dish could feed 3 maybe 4. The cold Ginger Chicken was also very good and tasty and the flavor was really good and it wasn't overly salty. The Spring beans were cooked just right not over cooked and the flavor was different, but very good and the pork was sliced and the taste was really good. You can bring in your own BYOB! The restroom are outside of the restaurant and shared by all the business there, sadly in the men's restroom looked like a person was living there with some clothes and a dog bed and a packages of personal belongings scattered all over the bathroom floor. They said the tell the management and custodians, but somehow cannot keep who ever is living in there even with a key system they have to use the restroom. Overall the food is great!

This location opens at 4pm and does not take any reservations but we had very little wait, 25 minutes, even arriving at 4:05pm with a line already formed. While waiting for our table we made our way down to the garden and walked around and enjoyed the turtles and fish in the little lake they have. This is a great photo opportunity. Once our table was ready we were seated and our server came over quickly to get our drink orders and any appetizers we wanted to put in. Their poke and island ceviche were delicious. They also provide complimentary bread with guava butter that was amazing. Since I was celebrating my birthday I decided to go for the prime rib that many have compared to a steak out of the prehistoric era. It was cooked perfectly and the potatoes and green beans were great sides. This will definitely be a place I return to with friends and family due to how great the service was and the beautiful view and delicious food. The best part of the night was the Liliko'i Crème Brulee. I cannot wait to go back for more.
