We went here on a Thursday recently. It was our first time, though we have been to Waikiki area many times. Reservations are highly recommended. They will call to confirm and remind you of the price ($89 per person, half price for 6-10, I believe under 6 are free) and the strict 2 hour seating limit. The restaurant is located in the Prince Hotel near the Waikiki harbor area. You can park in the Prince Hotel paid parking and they will validate you up to 2.5 hours. You have to take some stairs up to the 3rd floor which is where the restaurant is...overlooking the harbor. The entire restaurant is inside. No open windows. When you enter they ask your reservation and promptly seat you. I was told that for Crab legs, Thursday Friday and Saturday are best but especially Thursday and best to pick the 5-7 pm window for best selection. It was busy but not crazy busy. We grabbed our plates and checked out what they had. It's an impressive spread of high quality items. Crab legs were plentiful and very good quality. Prime rib station was carving fresh and they also had a fried pork they were carving too. They had poke, sushi rolls, sashimi, clam linguine, fresh fish filets, shrimp, fried oysters to name a few. Dessert bar had some nice items too, including bread pudding. Plenty of fresh fruits and salads too. The waiters took our drink order as soon as we sat back down. Those who got water received countless refills. The staff is on top of refills of water and taking empty plates. Very classy operation. Well managed. We were so stuffed at the end. We didn't make the full 2 hours. Everything was top notch. Try a little of everything instead of just gorging on crab legs (some will do that no matter what). It's all good! Great selection. We came to 100 Sails for the Father's Day dinner buffet and overall had a really nice experience. The buffet had a good variety and felt like a fun special occasion dinner. Some of the standouts for me were the made to order hand rolls, seafood Alfredo, salt and pepper shrimp, chicken kalbi, and the kiawe smoked prime rib. I also appreciated the nice assortment of desserts to finish off the experience, and our waiter John gave us a free dessert for my parents 33rd wedding anniversary (which happened to be that day also). The brisket also had good flavor but was a touch overcooked compared to what I was hoping for. It was not bad by any means, just a little more dry than usual. The main reason this is a 4 star review instead of 5 stars was the organization of the buffet lines and overall unorganized stations. During our visit, it was not always clear where the line was supposed to start, (as both ends of the line were easily accessible) what direction people were supposed to go, or whether certain stations had separate lines. At times it felt like everyone was kind of piled around the same areas, which made the experience feel more chaotic than it needed to be, especially for a holiday buffet. We came on a Wednesday afternoon just in time for sunset. We started off with a welcoming drink, a strawberry refresher which was light and bubbly and came with a beautiful floral flower. Then we were served the Hotate Temaki. It was so good. I loved the consistency of the scallops, the pop of the tokibo, touch of color with the marigold flower and the crunch of the jalapeño. The toki highball was very light and refreshing, for someone who doesn't drink much it was easy on the stomach and went down well. It was lovely to have a great view of the chefs prepping the dishes right in front of us. The server was very accommodating to my friend and I who didn't drink alcohol and offered us soda instead. The virgin Haku Vodka Sour looked very appealing especially with the sunlight hitting it. The cucumber was so light and refreshing, so smooth. Everything was so beautifully plated, like the Kona Kanpachi Kauai Shrimp Aguachile. I loved the flavors l. And it had the perfect kick of cilantro, and the sauce was very tangy. I love the touch of flowers with every plate. The shrimp was delicious, it almost tasted like ahi, in the sense that wasn't so fishy. Next was the Wagyu Temaki, I loved the uni with the A5 Wagyu steak on the bottom and the gold flakes so vibrant on top. So delicate. Very creamy. I loved the side of ginger, it almost tasted like a green Granny Smith apple. So thinly sliced too. The Virgin Roku Gin Sorbet was so delicious and light. Up next was the Smoked Black Cod Saikuo Miso Yaki Temaki, my favorite so far but maybe I'm just being biased because I love miso yaki. It was warm and melted in my mouth. I loved the kochujang gel, it was popping in my mouth. The A5 Waygu Striploin was the perfect texture and I loved the cut of it. It was also melting in my mouth. I loved the beef fat potato, it was the perfect mix of crunch and savoriness. And how the dish was balanced out with the baby romaine. Then was the Snake River Farms American Wagyu Brisket Oshizushi. It was very interesting. I loved the tobiko in it. The Mango Roll Cake was so yummy and the perfect consistency. Usually, I'm not a fan of mango, but this was the perfect touch of flavor. Had the best date night here for both our first time, even though we've both lived here for years. Had a perfect table to see the sunset and really enjoyed the dinner buffet. I'd been here years ago for a work event, but this was my first time trying their happy hour. Since it happened to be Mother's Day, we made sure to arrive right at 4pm when happy hour starts. No one was at the front at 4, so we had to walk inside to ask if they were open -- understandable, since the staff seemed busy preparing for the Mother's Day rush. Happy hour is only available in the bar area near the entrance. At that time, it was just us and one other group, with two bartenders working. Service was attentive, fast, and pleasant. I ordered the Lychee & Peach Martini and the Mango Mint Martini. Both leaned sweet and light, but they were refreshing and enjoyable. For food, I had the Coffee Ribeye Steak. I requested medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well. Even so, the steak itself was good quality and flavorful. By the time we were leaving around 5, the Mother's Day crowd started pouring in and things looked a bit chaotic, so we were glad we came early and avoided the rush. Located in the Prince Waikiki, this cute little spot is located on the third floor with an amazing view of the water. I called in and made a reservation at 7:30 PM which was perfect timing to see the sunset. The selection at this buffet isn't as big as Vegas but the quality was good! I believe the price was $85 per person for the snow crab and prime rib dinner. Alcohol is sold separately. I really enjoyed the prime rib, snow crab, mash potatoes, salad bar, broccoli salad, fried oysters, and clam chowder. I'm sure there were more that I liked but I forgot haha. There is a salad bar with a variety of veggies and fruits. The dessert had a great variety! I enjoyed the little chocolate mousse the best. The bradpudding was also a big hit. My family surprised me with a birthday cake so the kind waiter bought over a taro cheesecake which was so good! I highly recommend this buffet but specifically for the snow crab and prime rib nights. Everything is very good, they are better than my expectations. The service is wonderful with very nice server and helper. We arrived a bit late and we got seated right away. We didn't want to do their buffet, because we are not that hungry and we have less than 30mins before closing. They are very efficient and the food came out faster than expected. It's always an enjoyable time coming here. First things first, I do recommend making reservations. They have valet parking and self parking with validation. FYI stalls are pretty small and tight. They sit you almost immediately and you can head to the buffet. From the times I've been there, the menu items are pretty much the same, with a few changes here and there. My fave is their pasta and sushi bar. The fish tastes so fresh and is melt-in-your-mouth. I'm not the biggest fan of prime rib, but it was good. For dessert, and always remember to leave room for dessert, I do recommend the bread pudding. Probably the best bread pudding I've tasted. I was really excited to try the buffet at 100 Sails, but ultimately, the experience left a little to be desired. The restaurant is located inside the Prince Waikiki hotel. We made a reservation on OpenTable. Vibe of the restaurant was nice and classy. The dinner buffet itself is $89 per adult, and, with tax and tip, comes out to over $100 per person. For that price, I feel like the variety and quality of the buffet was lacking. I was especially disappointed with the quality of the poke as it did not taste very fresh. I had better poke from much cheaper poke joints around Oahu. I did, however, really enjoy the clam chowder. I also liked my Ocean Mai Tai. Breakfast: There was an egg omelette station which you could let the cook know how you would like your eggs cooked and the different topping choices displayed. Many options of breakfast meats, oatmeal, cereals, Japanese items like miso soup, natto and more. It was included with our hotel stay but is $35 per person for breakfast. Dinner: Steamed crab legs!! Most buffets that offer crab legs are served cold but here at 100 sails it is steamed which is how I prefer. It was consistently being refilled. There is a hand roll station with four different options to choose from but you can also customize your own. The sashimi and poke was fresh! I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the fish was for a buffet. Definitely took advantage of the seafood options for dinner! Carving station had prime rib and lamb chops. I believe the lamb chops are only during holidays, which was for Valentine's when I dined. Dinner is $89 per person but $109 for the holiday. Note: drinks are not apart of the buffet menu. So it is not refillable if you are getting sodas and such. If you have a sweet tooth, there are dessert options if you saved some space in your stomach. Amazing experience. This was my first time here, thinking we were celebrating my Fiance's Birthday, but also celebrated mines as well. We had a total of 14 guests in our gathering. They had prime rib, sushi hand rolls, other sushi and sashimi options. They also had dungeness crab, roasted chicken, fried lobster, shrimp, calamari, and so many other food options. They also served fresh fruit and other dessert options.I over heard the hostess mentioning that the bar and high top tables were available for walk in's. In a matter of 5 minutes of being seated our server Grace made passive aggressive comments towards myself as well as my family. We asked her questions about the menu and her sarcastic replies indicted that she maybe hated herself, or hated working there. With ocean views, premium food, and a nice dining area, the 100 Sails buffet at the Prince Waikiki is one of the best and fanciest resort buffets on island. Recommend for Sunday brunch. Over the years, we have managed to stop in for the Sunday brunch and the evening dinner buffet. Both may have a wait as this is a popular buffet; reservations are possible and parking is available at the Prince although it can be very limited at times. Brunch and dinner offer many of the same items such as crab legs, prime rib, porchetta, salad, dessert, sashimi, soup, and fruit. Dinner offers some more items such as a handroll bar, fried oysters, chicken, mashed potatoes, etc but the brunch buffet is the way to go. Brunch offers a waffle bar, omelette station as well as the crab and prime rib that are also at dinner. Also, obviously, brunch has marina ocean views and dinner is just dark outside. There were no fresh oysters and the crab legs were changed from Dungeness to the Snow Crab variety. Although the crab was tasty, it was a disappointment. We don't have an AYCE in California where I live, so when visiting Hawaii, I anticipate my visit to 100 Sails.... way before I get here. With that said, my husband is a fan of the AYCE prime rib, that did not disappoint. .... I was able to eat 3 full plates, so nothing to really complain about and the things I enjoyed most this trip were: the FRESHEST ahi poke, the cocktail shrimp, the sashimi, the clam chowder was delicious, and the snow crab, of course, was cooked & salted perfectly (not overly salted) Noted that the alcoholic beverages were on point and so beautiful, so kudos to the current bartender (we were there on Thursday, 7/24/25 at 6:30 p.m.) Some things never change though and I'd like to shout out to our waitress, Grace, who we remember from the last time. If available request a table by the window instead of by the buffet. What service, it is a buffet and there is a made to order omelet station. I ordered the works with half a ladle of egg for a smaller one with cheese at the last addition. A kind male employee even carried my plate to where I was sitting. Wow! I really enjoyed the curry/ I had to get a chawan(rice bowl) then spoon the curry over the rice. It was delicious. During our stay-cation we came here for the breakfast buffet then the dinner buffet. Both are a must. Breakfast: Loved that there's a lot of options. Omelette station is the best I went back twice. They also have a lots of vegetable/salad options for breakfast which surprised me. Miso soup is offered for breakfast. We also told our server that we were celebrating our anniversary and she brought us a little matcha dessert. Calm atmosphere in the morning. Dinner: Again lots of options and variety. I really wanted to like 100 Sails, but unfortunately the food and service made that impossible. I'm including photos to show exactly what we experienced. Service: We were told our server's name was Grace, yet we never met anyone by that name--or anyone who introduced themselves as our server at all. The experience only got stranger from there. When we finished our dinner plates, no one cleared them before taking our after-dinner drink order. Our tea was brought out... and the plates were still sitting there. Then dessert arrived, and once again, no one removed the dirty dishes. I'm posting a photo of what our table looked like while we were trying to eat dessert--it was cluttered and honestly unacceptable. Food: The buffet stations were poorly maintained. The steak tray was completely empty. The braised beef had one lonely piece left, looking like the last kid picked for kickball. What little steak remained earlier was sitting in a bowl of grease--completely unappetizing. Poor rotation and lack of replenishment made it feel neglected and poorly managed. Between the inattentive service and the lack of available, properly presented food, I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you're looking for a much better experience, I'd suggest heading over to Texas de Brazil across the bridge in Ala Moana instead. read more

We celebrated our anniversary at 100 Sails at The Prince in Waikiki, which was a bit since our last visit. The service was great. We never had to wait for a waiter to clear the table or refill our water glasses. We enjoyed the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs and prime rib, with the hand roll bar being our favorite. Recently went here again for their dinner buffet right before the holidays for another anniversary dinner with my partner! I still believe this is hands down the best buffet on the island! Food, service, ambiance, and views are always top notch. Initially, there were no online reservations available for the night we wanted but I called and the host kindly put us on the list. Valet parking is reasonable, I believe $10-12 dollars plus tip, no stress. It's cool to make this a nice date, and walk around the hotel area, especially during the holiday season. My favorite dishes are the crab legs, sushi bar, and prime rib/pork station. Their dessert and drink selection is also really good. We had a sweet tooth that evening so we indulged in the chocolate macadamia nut pie and the lilikoi creme brûlée! The view was gorgeous and I can only imagine what the view is like at sunset. I ordered the Farmers market salad and it was delicious. The tarragon dressing was one of a kind. We ordered the lobster roll with a side of fries. Tasty and the fries were crispy. The lobster in the yazu mayo was great. The roll was toasted perfectly. We also ordered the 12 ounce ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly to a medium rear just the way we like it. The dish that stole the night with taste and presentation was the Kona Kanpachi! Taste was on key! The kanpachi skin was perfectly crisp. The rice was amazing and the ponzu sauce was the best I've had. We almost skipped dessert but I'm glad we didn't. The rest of buffet consisted of some French toast, bacon, Portuguese sausage, vegetable curry, miso soup, salad, tater tots, fruits, yogurt and few other things that were breakfast related. It's a nice open dining area with a beautiful view of the harbor. It felt really peaceful and it's a great place to be able to have good conversation with whoever you're with. Service was good. Our server didn't have much personality, but she did her job of clearing plates and keeping our coffee and water refilled very well! Ate here for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast was pretty basic fare and everything tasted okay. The lunch however was fantastic! The teishoku had butterfish that melted in your mouth and was super flavorful-it was my favorite lunch dish! The karaage was also perfectly crispy with moist meat. I loved that it came as a bento style with sushi rice, some tsukemono, and a salad. My family thought the beef fat rice and ahi fish and chips were delicious too. When we're here again will definitely come again for the lunch menu! read more

We came for lunch during our stay at the Prince Waikiki. Restaurant is located on third floor and has great views of the harbor. My husband had the ahi fish and chips. He said the fish was fresh and moist. I had the Teishoku combo which included miso black cod and chicken karaage. I enjoyed it, except for the Kim chee potato salad. I would have liked a local potato salad instead. Dishes were beautifully presented. We were given some complimentary cookies to go at the end of our meal. I haven't had their buffets which they're known for, but was happy with our lunch today. read more

We come here for the holiday buffet they had lamb chops. I have to say that the buffet is yummy yum but I don't know if it is worth the 117.00 a person. I do need to say that the crab legs actually taste yummy yum yum but I spent a lot of time rolling the shells off. At first I thought two hours is a long time but I know now that was enough time for me to eat the crab legs and other things offered. So I can eat the moneys with just the prime rib like and crab legs. I think the buffet is 4 stars since it is on the higher end and nothing compares to the ninth island buffets which I am comparing it to. Good for Oahu and for special occasions. Mahalo 100 Sails Hawaii Prince Hotel! Thanksgiving To Go was delish! My Ohana loved every single dish!!! Easy pick up. Each dish was nicely packed and super easy to heat up. Love that the turkey is still fresh and hot when you pick it up unlike other to go places. Even the white meat was nice and juicy and not dried out at all. We love dining at the 100 Sails buffet dinner but now we love Thanksgiving To Go too! Family already asked for Thanksgiving To Go from 100 Sails for next year! read more

This buffet has a great selection. The food was also very good for a buffet. My drinks were always refilled and it is pretty quiet considering how many people are there. We were seated quickly too! I really liked the crab, waffle bar, dessert bar, and fruits (which were actually ripe). read more
