    Pistachio matcha with oat milk
    Jennifer H.

I ordered the Pistachio Matcha with oat milk, and it was nice that they did not upcharge for an alternative milk (though, for $10/drink, it's probably already hidden in the cost). I was really excited by how vibrantly green the drink was, and it was initially quite yummy, but it got a bit too sweet quickly. I'm not sure if the pistachio flavor was super pistachio-y, moreso just nutty. Overall, not bad if you want a flavored matcha latte, but maybe I would try something else next time in the hopes of it having stronger matcha flavor. Not bad for a small kiosk! The barista was very nice, and she was a real trooper for having to scoop matcha powder into the bowl in the wind!

This matcha stand tucked away in the shops of wailea was a surprising find as a matcha connoisseur! I did not have high hopes to find a good matcha place in Maui coming from Seattle/Bay Area but this stand looked really promising. They offered variety of matcha flavors, including unique seasonal menu items such as the banana bread matcha, which is what we ordered. I was mainly drawn to order some because they offered ceremonial grade matcha. We waited around 20-25 minutes while we shopped around the mall to wait for them to restock ice. Only one person was working at the stand but she was very kind and helpful when describing the different items on the menu. The banana bread matcha was fragrant, and the syrup was the perfect balance of sweetness to the umami of matcha, but the particular brand of oat milk used was a bit overpowering. Overall, I would come back and definitely recommend this place if you need a matcha fix while in Maui!

YUM!!! Now THIS is good matcha!! It's made with ceremonial-grade matcha & they hand-whisk it in front of you! The matcha is frothy and creamy and it's a really good comparison to the matchas back home in Los Angeles. I got the Honey Cinnamon flavor, and it's so delicious I still think about it! The stand is small, so they only carry a limited number of items before they sell out. They recommended all of their signature matchas, and after trying the Honey Cinnamon, I totally trust their picks! If you're on this side of the island, I definitely recommend stopping by Maui Matcha. We drove 30 minutes to get here, and it was so worth it!

We were craving matcha and stopped by because we saw they had good reviews! All of us ordered one of their signature drinks, the pistachio matcha. We were not fans, the pistachio syrup they use didn't taste like pistachio at all (it had a very overwhelming almond extract taste). Maybe it was just that one specific drink that is a miss; they do seem to hand whisk all of their drinks.

Found this little matcha stand at the Wailea shops. Service was pretty fast. There was just one couple ahead of me and got my drink within 5 or so minutes. I tried the blue lotus- it wasn't too sweet and still had a nice matcha flavor. Prices are a little higher but still comparable to other matcha places. Overall id try another drink next time I'm there.

Blue Lotus Matcha with coconut milk was super good. Not too sweet and matcha was smooth and silky. Long line on a Sunday afternoon, but was in and out in about 20 minutes. There was only one person working but they were very efficient. I'd come early morning next time to avoid waiting.

I absolutely loved her Matcha cart! Wailea mall is a great location with beautiful layout throughout the mall, where the cart is located is perfect on main level near the LV and Gucci store. All the options on her menu sounded so good, wishing I could try them all! I ordered Ube Matcha as I love Ube and can never get enough, it's the best Ube matcha yet!

Maui Matcha is hands-down a must-visit in Wailea! Tucked inside The Shops at Wailea, this little kiosk serves up big flavor and even bigger aloha vibes. I ordered the Honey Cinnamon Matcha with oat milk, and wow--absolute perfection. The warm notes of cinnamon paired with the light sweetness of honey complemented the earthy richness of the matcha so beautifully. It was smooth, comforting, and refreshing all at once. Easily one of the best matcha drinks I've ever had! The staff were so kind and welcoming, and you can tell they really care about the quality of what they're serving. The matcha is ceremonial-grade and organic, and it truly makes a difference. You get that vibrant green color and fresh, clean taste in every sip. The vibe at the kiosk is peaceful and aesthetic--perfect for grabbing a mindful moment between shopping or before heading to the beach. Prices are a little higher than your typical café, but the ingredients and experience are well worth it. If you love matcha (or just want to try something special while you're in Maui), do yourself a favor and get the Honey Cinnamon Matcha. Pure magic in a cup!

Cute little booth in the middle of the mall area. The person there was so kind and helpful. We got the pistachio matcha and the ube matcha and both were delicious. The pistachio was a more on the sweeter side and the ube was more earthy. I liked how strong the matcha flavor was and how you can taste the earthiness of it.

Cute little stand in the Wailea shopping center! Quick but delicate service, enjoyed watching them mix the matcha and the satisfying pour over the ice and milk. Satisfying and great-tasting, no bitterness at all. The specialty flavors are great, wish I was around to try the seasonal flavors too!

Had to get my matcha fix while in Maui! When I did my research before heading to Maui, I learned about Maui Matcha. They have nice signature matcha combos, as well as, the classics! We opted for their signature drinks to try something new. They were all great! They balanced well with the matcha and you can tell they also use good quality matcha. I also love that they hand whisk all their matchas fresh! Something I don't really see often. Service was quick, stand was cute and clean (despite being small). I hope I can come again when I'm back in Maui!

I love Maui so matcha, and I must say that I also love Maui Matcha so matcha! I'd been to Maui Matcha years ago at Whalers Village, so I was stoked to find their little tea cart in the center of The Shops at Wailea right outside Olukai and SOHA on the ground level. Big mahalo and shout out to Ronnie, who did her wizardry and whipped us up the most delicious, comforting yet refreshing iced Honey Lavender Matcha Latte with oat milk. My hubby and I are big time matcha lovers and make matcha lattes at home, in addition to seeking the best matcha drinks when we travel. Maui Matcha's quality is excellent and even with the local honey & lavender added, the bold matcha flavor was still the delightfully dominant flavor. A lot of places will be way too heavy handed on the syrups and additional flavors, but Ronnie made a perfectly balanced and tasty drink for us! Go getcha matcha here!

    Rachel A.

Some of the best matcha I've ever had! Their seasonal banana bread matcha is my jam and was easily the best banana matcha latte I've had! Can't wait to come back!

While I have been to a couple of other Kraken locations before, including the day before, this one was different as it was an actual storefront in a strip mall instead of a food truck. They also sell shave ice here. With it being a storefront, they had a decent amount of seating along with a clear ordering area. For my coffee on this morning I went with a large Surf's Up cold brew, which the menu described as coconut mac nut with a sweet foam topper. Since I had run 17 miles earlier in the day, I was also hungry and their jalapeño cheddar bagel caught my eye, so I ordered one of those as well. It did not take long before I had both my drink and food and was headed back to my car. As soon as I got in, I dug in. When I first opened the bagel it looked a little overdone, but there was no bitterness from the darker parts and it actually ended up being cooked perfectly. As for the coffee, I could not get enough of it. The coconut mac nut cold brew was strong with a bit of earthiness from the mac nut and some sweetness from the coconut. The sweet foam was the real standout though as I loved both the texture and the added sweetness. Paired with the bold coffee, it worked really well and I finished it quickly. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my bagel and coffee were good and I would also be interested in trying their shave ice next time.

Ordering off the menu was also a great option. I got the fried rice and galbi, which came with sides and were all delicious. One thing my friend could not stop talking about was the poke, which was slightly on the spicier side but fresh, soft, and very tasty. This place has it all, and you really cannot go wrong. I was already doing the math and thinking , "Eh, we might be here awhile." But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.
