I would come back for drinks but probably not for a brunch experience due to the long wait. I will say the manager was very kind and so was our waitress.

The best. The best food. (try the Blake, or a salad with roasted veggies, or an omelet). The best decor. (crazy cute, colorful, and creative) The friendliest staff. And, Paint Box is super family friendly. My kids (age 5 & 4) beg to go when we are in town. And no matter what, no matter what, buy a cookie. If you are stuffed, by a dozen to take home. The gooey butter cake cookies have me counting the days until our next trip to the lake. Its super clean, (did I mention cute), and your experience will be nothing short of lovely. Roxie has been running businesses at the lake for years, and this is true, each one is better than the last. This time Roxie has combined her talents with those of her amazing (grown up) kids. Owner and Baker, Roxie Kelley, author of 5 popular cookbooks (available at the cafe) only serves fresh, quality food, and everything on her bakery menu is to die for! She offers an original creation that any age will love - Ham and Cheddar Rolls, along with Cream Cheese Rolls and an assortment of desserts out of her bakery case. For lunch, choose from sandwiches, salads and made-from-scratch soups daily. She caters anything on the menu and more and offers call-ahead carry out. I make sure to stop at Paint Box Cafe every time I am at the lake. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff welcoming, and the food is SO GOOD!! This is the perfect location to study or meet a friend for lunch and now "Streetside" is making it easier to stop in and grab a baked good and a coffee.
