I've had the Bistro Steak and Pan Seared Scallops and both are excellent. Tuesday night is Belgian night (reduced price on Mussels and 1/2 price for Belgian Ales). Excellent Mussiels and I think they may have the most extensive Belgian beer selection in the area. Also, a great wine selection with competitive prices in the restaurant wine shop. For lunch, the Tuna BLT sandwich is amazing! The Flatbreads, Dry Aged Beef Sliders and Lobster MAC & Cheese also excellent! Can't go wrong with any of the desserts which they change regularly! I've been to Pairings Bistro twice now, and both times have been incredible. The first time I came was for a combined birthday dinner with my aunt and mother. The server was happy to explain anything we had questions about on the menu. I decided to do the three course fare with wine pairing. My three courses were the cream of crab soup, grilled romaine Caesar salad, and vegetable risotto with Scallops. Everything was delicious, especially with the wine pairing. I wish I had room for dessert because they all sounded delicious. As an added bonus they found out it was all three of our birthdays so the brought over a little complimentary glass of champagne for us which was such a kind gesture, I can tell they really care about their customers. The second time I came in I wasn't quite hungry enough for more than two dishes so I just had the cream of crab soup and mussels. I had their cream of crab previously and it is still the best cream of crab soup I've ever tasted! It's not overly thick, you get a lump of backfin crab meat to put in your soup, and they also give you a side of dry sherry to add so you can adjust it to your taste. Phenomenal! The mussels there are also delicious, I had the marinére version, which had white wine, garlic, shallots, and herbs. You get so many too it can definitely fill you up. The atmosphere is very nice and is a great place for matured family, romantic dates, or girls nights. I highly recommend coming here! I know I'll be back for sure. read more

My server was fine, but the food was terrible and definitely not worth the time or cost. Not at all enjoyable The butternut squash soup was probably the best part of meal, but was barely warm. I ordered the Bistro Steak Au Poivre cooked medium, it came out well done and the peppercorn gravy was excessively salty. It came with truffle frites which were also doused in coarse salt and were not freshly cooked. The New York strip was ordered Medium, and it came out rare. The seasoned vegetables were significantly over cooked (mushy) and also excessively salty. We did try the pear dessert which was very dry and crumbly- had a couple bites and left it. Was told there was a new chef. Not sure if that was problem but food took a while to get out as well. Needless to say, disappointing to say the least. The drinks were a disaster as well. Ordered The Fig of My Rye which had zero hint of fig. Sent back and requested the Big Apple which did not have a hint of anise. Kept that one and stuck with water. read more

First we were ignored for what felt like forever by our server while he chatted with people at the bar. Then when he did come over I felt like I was ordering from Denny's - he simply stated " you guys ready to order?" That's it. No specials. No recommendations No "pairings " When we got our food. While the food served was delicious, the reason we booked a reservation (and reason Dad's wanted to go) and was willing to spend $39 per person as for the "one-of-a-kind" bacon bar where everything was wrapped in bacon. However, this was no where to be found. When I inquired, they said there was bacon on the buffet. What existed was one serving dish filled with 3 kinds of bacon. Far cry from a bacon bar...and nothing wrapped in bacon. Just felt cheated. Normally love this place, but will probably refrain from buffets from now on since what to expect and pay for is not what you get. read more
