Skip the tiramisu - it's a dupe and no where near the real deal the ribeye is average at best these items were good: grilled octopus New York strip oysters Rockefeller Service was as good as she could do - but seems like for a party of 17 they should have had more than one server

I must start off this review by telling you we had the best lobster bisques we've ever had here. If we come back for anything it is that! Our friends rave about this restaurant and all though we enjoyed our meal we may not have ordered the right thing so we'll have to go back and give it another shot. The staff was friendly and the location was nice.

    Lasagna is quite good here.

Date of visit: May 20, 2025 Our friend has been a fan of Paisano's for many years, so we were really excited to give them a try, and outside of the service, it was a fantastic meal. Host staff was friendly and led us to a nice table up half a level up that had a nice view of much of the restaurant. The menu was large, with many options--but not too many where it was overwhelming. We had lots of time to look at the menu before we were served. Our waitress was all business--the only time she smiled is when she noticed that our friend had bleu cheese in his salad and he had asked for no bleu cheese... Thankfully the food more than made up for the service. My lobster bisque with puff pastry on top was excellent, even if it was a bit light on the lobster. My lasagna was also wonderful, hot and not lacking in cheese--as any good lasagna should be! My side pasta was a bit meh, but that was just a bonus so I wasn't too worried about it. I would definitely come again, just hope not to get seated in Comrade's section!

What a charming place. The atmosphere is comfortable and stylish. The food was awesome. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce, others had the Veal Marsala and Veal Parmesan with a wedge salad. The Clam Chowder soup was very tasty. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly. The service was great. I know we will go back again.

I found myself taking a road trip to god's country and mapped out a journey here, on my way home. I recently saw them highlighted by Mario Turano (the bread guy) and took his advice on getting the delicious chicken parm. I guess they also have it with a ribeye. Comes with potatoes or pasta, I went with the spaghetti and meat sauce. The bread is great and can easily fill you up, be careful. I was stuffed,.. but the sweet hostess brought me some of their house made gelato. I usually don't like salted caramel but it was delicious. Orange sherbet cleansed the palate. Wonderful waitress checking in frequently. Has a great feel on the inside of a northwoods lodge, in a historic building. (1846) They've swallowed up 3 other units next door and have al fresco dining too. I guess there's no set closing time, depending on patrons at the bar. Kitchen typically closes at 9pm.

We made a reservation for 4 people at 7 pm on a Friday. We made the reservation two days before. When we got to the restaurant it was very busy, but we were seated immediately due to our reservation. Our waitress came over right away and got our drink order. Our drinks took a bit to come out due it obviously being a Friday night. The waitress poured a little wine for my friend and I to taste and then poured us each a glass when we liked it. I ordered the filet - medium and I would say it came out medium rare but I didn't want to send it back so I just dealt with it. My husband got lobster bisque which was delicious BUT NOT FOR $17!!!!! That is outrageous to me. It came with a plume of bread on top which was a cool touch. The gnocchi was good with the vodka cream sauce. My friend ordered chicken parm and said it was yummy but she didn't like the pasta that came with it. My other friend ordered fettuccine Alfredo and said it was very good. Our bill was $230 for all four of us.

Paisano's is great! We've been here several times over the course of a decade and have enjoyed it every time. We've had a lot of their menu, most recently got the sausage rotini and it was incredible! The flavors were explosive and it even had a small kick to it which was a nice touch. My grandparents' favorite thing on the menu is the Broadway shrimp. Pro tip: the rigatoni is all homemade. Our servers were awesome and even suggested some fun tweaks to the menu (baked rigatoni with vodka sauce and sausage). They served fresh bread right up front with olive oil and cheese, and again, that was super delicious. The restaurant itself is themed like Italy and it provides an enjoyable ambiance. Everything is kept very clean. Our kids and whole family loved it. Excited to come back again!

THE best Italian restaurant in McHenry or Lake County. Their food is to die for. Downtown Chicago can't keep up.

There was wonderful calamari and a bunch of fries, too, and we have never practiced to mukbang together so perfectly. By the time I was half through my eyes were rolling into the back of my head with bliss. Watching each other eat is always funny as hell and my belly was perfectly round when I tried to stand up. I sat right to back down and gave him moony eyelashes to which he responded "Let's get out of here" so I hit the can and found him on the front deck with his legs splayed out, sunglasses on, and about 2 minutes away from napping into a happy man food coma. That place is a safe bet you'll totally overeat and you'll not regret it once. Our waitress was rad, totally laid back and checked with us frequently. We didn't have much to say since we were stuffing our faces like it was a job, but she was glad we were impressed. It's only two people in there, and there are many great choices. And oh yes! Bibs!

Tried to send it back just for the cook to send it right back out to me saying it's normal and that he's not replacing it.. on what earth once food touches the servers hand and goes back into the kitchen do they just bring it right back out to you just saying basically "it is what it is"? My wife asked for Cajun hot as well, supposed to be the hottest seasoning they have.. let's just say it wasn't. Asked the server to bring some on the side to attempt to season it myself, the cook put a sprinkle in a cup and brought it out saying that's all he's gonna give. Don't waste your time here. This place is fucking garbage.

I had some of their cajun pasta and calamari, both were quite small serving sizes for their price. What put me off was adding shrimp to the pasta for 5.99 only to be given exactly five pieces of shrimp. The pasta had nothing cajun about it and served on a big plate to look bigger than it is, far too big for the small table! The pasta itself was nice, however it tasted like grocery store jar alfredo sauce. And the restaurant had far too loud music for so little people there, couldn't even talk properly to the server or family despite sitting so close on a tiny table. Would not recommend

I've seen the sign for Sea Shack from Route 59 and finally got to try it when my sister was visiting Naperville. I called in an order and it was ready in 15 minutes. What we ordered for 3 adults: 1 lb peeled shrimp, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb black mussels, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb clams, mild 1 corn on the side 1 sausage on the side onion rings chicken tenders and fries 2 orders of rice We had plenty of food and enough for leftovers. My favorite part might be the cajun butter sauce with white rice... even more than the seafood. I love white rice with basically any sauce. The food was fresh, the sauce was mild as requested, still flavorful and not too salty. If you order the clams on its own, no sides, the bag might seem a little small but that's just because the clam meat is so small. For takeout, your seafood will come double bagged so it was leak proof. We decided to empty the bags into bowls since we were doing family style, and it was a hearty meal. I can't comment on the ambiance since it was a takeout order, but we enjoyed our food. We'll be back!

We got it at the beginning of the meal and it was a good choice, since we sipped on it all dinner. I enjoyed both of the drinks, and definitely do taste like the name suggests. The alcohol tasted pretty strong too. Each entree comes with a soup and salad, and the chicken and rice soup was super creamy; a nice start to the meal. The salad was also very refreshing. The lamb was my favorite part, especially since it was sooo tender it fell off the bone just by touching it with a fork. The sauce is yogurty and it pairs pretty well if the lamb is getting a bit too heavy for your stomach. The chicken was good but it also was a bit dry in my opinion. Other than that the restaurant is definitely really good.
