We went here for a friend's birthday for the first time, and I thought it was a good first experience! For appetizers, our group got the Yucca Fries as well as the Anticucho de Lomo Fino (Beef skewers). The skewers were amazing! The meat was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I thought the Yucca Fries were average. For my entree, I ordered the Lomo Saltado Pizza. I thought the crust was perfect (I hate when my crust gets soggy). The meat was tender as well, but the pizza was VERY salty; too salty to the point that I couldn't finish my entree, which was a shame, because everything was so good. My friend ordered the lomo saltado (not the pizza) as an entree and the meat was just as salty too, so not sure that went wrong there. Overall, service could have went better. I ordered a soda, and I had to ask for it multiple times, even though the waiter acknowledged he hadn't brought it yet. It also took some time for refills as well.

Yes, that sandwich is easily 3-4 inches tall. Tasty garnish. Lovely presentation.

Tried something new - never too old for that. Traditional Peruvian pork belly sandwich. The stack up was a bit much, so it took knife and fork to the meat, put both halves of the bun back together, and feasted. They were open to subbing steak fries for the sweet potato fries. Stellar service, spotless place, priced fairly. Winner!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for my first time trying Peruvian food. I ordered the lomo saltado, and it was absolutely delicious -- great flavor and really satisfying. The only downside was that it came out a bit cold. The presentation was nice, and the restaurant itself is really cute with a good vibe. The staff member who helped us was also super friendly and gave great recommendations, which I appreciated as a first-timer. Overall, a good experience, just wish the food had been served hotter!

    Lomo Saltado...delicious!

Went here for dinner with a couple girlfriends, and we loved it! The food was flavorful and the drinks we got were also very good. We all agreed we would definitely be back. The service was great!

Love this restaurant! There was great variety in their lunch menu, and my friends and I received quick service even for the number of people we had in our party. Arroz Chaufa Paititi: The presentation of this dish had already caught my eye, and every ingredient looked and tasted fresh. It was well-seasoned, and the dish felt hearty without being greasy. Anticucho de Lomo Fino: These were tender cuts of beef placed on a skewer, and they were nicely charred on the outside with a marinade that brought subtle smokiness! This was a great spot for something flavorful and delicious!

Stopped by Paititi for a Sunday lunch with friends and had a great first visit. The space is casual, clean, and comfortable, with a window seat that made the experience even better. I ordered the Pollo a la Brasa my wife had the Pan con Chicharrón, and plantains. Portions were just right, everything tasted fresh, and the food came out quickly. The pollo was juicy and hearty and satisfying. Service was friendly, fast, and attentive without feeling rushed. Prices are in the $$ range and felt well worth it for the quality and experience. Would definitely come back.

Yelp guided me to Paititi when I searched for "Hot and New" restaurant - thanks Yelp! Waiter from San Miguel, Peru was so warm and friendly. Started with Tequenos Del Chef - delicious but small sized (like an egg roll) for the price. Will definitely try the traditional empanadas next time. Gotta get plantains, of course. As expected. One well cooked plantain will cost you about $8. Lomo Saltado- perfectly cooked! Pollo- seasoned perfectly and the fries in a basket add to the presentation. Delish with the aji sauces! Pan con Chicharon- have had this at other restaurants, where the pork is shredded and fried to add crispiness and a more rendered fat. Paititi's version has huge chunks of pork belly with fat that could've been cooked a bit longer. Sweet potato fries were done well but will be passing on this next time. Sunday brunch crowd was tiny, but would come back to try out the dinner vibes with maybe a ceviche next time!

Came here for my monthly link with my girls and I will definitely return. Haven't been to this location since it's was Pete's and I am pleasantly surprised by its new offering. The location is great for any restaurant and hopefully this place is able to last. The decor is amazing. Colorful and vibrant decor display the vibes for the restaurant. The food was full of flavors but I felt it missed the wow factor for me. I wanted a punch of flavor and got more of a love tap. It may have just been what I tried but I am definitely willing to come back again and try another menu offering. The place was pretty empty when we came and the service was top tier. My drink gave a great kick.

Only open a few months and doing a great job! Super friendly staff and very tasty offerings but they have some things to works out. Complimentary bread was great with our Chicha Moradas. My date had the Loma Saltado. Fries separated in a basket left them a bit dry and slightly undercooked otherwise the dish was tasty. I got the EL TACU TACU DE LA VÍA EXPRESA, this was 100% delicious. It too had an op pies as it was missing chalaquita. Staff was very receptive to "do you want me to tell you it's good or would you really like ti know what we think?" They were very receptive and eager to make things right, we did accept and compensation, just accepted what we got. Their eagerness to correct the minor issues makes us want to return very soon.

My friend and I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. This location has been many different restaurants over the years, and I really hope Paititi sticks around for a long, long time. The food is great and the service was excellent! For dinner, I had the arroz con mariscos a la norteña. I thought the price was fair for the portion size. To drink I tried the chicha morada sour. The server let me try the chicha morada (purple corn) juice. It's made in house, and the taste is hard to describe. It's not too sweet, and has a mild flavor. I thought it made a great mixer in the chicha morada sour. I told my husband about my experience and we are planning to come back soon.

The drinks-- strawberry- mango lemonade & maracuya. Very refreshing

A 3.5 rating from us. My daughter & I had dinner the other nite. I soent time in Peru in early 80s, so excited to try. Each dish had its own distinct flavors. The Empanada Limena Aji De Gallina was lovely w/ mustardy dip sauce. The ceviche classico was different than any i had in Peru. Big chunks of fish & other vegies you mixed together yourself. We got medium & it needed bit more flavor. The papas rellenas were nice mashed potato stuffed with filling then deep fried. It was our favorite. Fried plantain nice & sweet so almost like desert. To drink--Strawberry- Mango Lemonade 1 Maracuya juice. Refreshing. 4-5 booths & also tables. A bit mire than we wanted to spend-- nearly $100 and no alcohol

This was an amazing find! We noticed a new Peruvian restaurant on the corner and decided to give it a try. There were few customers when we got there and were immediately impressed by the decor, complete with beautiful Peruvian art and artifacts. We were seated quickly and our server, Hector, was very patient with us, answering all our questions about the menu and the ingredients. He brought our drinks, Chicha Morada, a purple corn drink, and Maracuya, a passion fruit drink. Both were really fresh and tasty! After sufficient time deliberating over the menu, I ordered the Cordero del Valle and my wife had El Tacu Tacu del al Via Expresa. When the dishes arrived, we were blown away by the presentations! Plating skills level 11! The lamb shank was very tender and flavorful and the sauces that it was cooked in and adorned the plate were truly delicious. For dessert we had Tres Leches de Lucuma, and while it was not the best tres leches I have had, it had a very distinctive flavor that was really enjoyable. Bottom line, we will definitely be back, because that menu has too many interesting flavor combinations that we want to try!

    Pan con Chicharrón
    Jennifer D.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. The service was very attentive. Really liked that! Pan con Chicharrón 3/10 No pan con chicharrón should have mustard. With that, it had ALOT of mustard. There needs to be revision made with the recipe for it as the pork and salsa criollo was great. But killed it by drenching it in mustard. Pollo a La Brasa 9/10 The chicken had great flavor. It came with fries and salad which was also fresh and crisp. The portion of chicken is smaller but the flavors were there.

We had the kindest server who let me sample a few (non alcoholic) drinks before making my decision. My colleague and I ordered two appetizers off the bar bites menu. We ordered the yucas y platanos ($13) and the beef heart anticuchos ($17). Then, we felt like we could still eat a little bit more so we split the ceviche mancora ($26). All the food was fantastic. A few days later, and I'm still thinking about how great those beef hearts were. So flavorful, so tender, and such a fun texture. I was so surprised with how much I enjoyed them. In second place was that ceviche mancora. The sauce had the perfect spice. We asked for between a mild to a medium, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Our waiter was extremely patient with explaining every dish, giving us recommendations, and making sure we were comfortable with the spice level. He really spent extra time with us to explain everything and I really appreciated it. Overall I would highly recommend this spot if you're in the area.

The atmosphere and location are great - it's a beautiful space and feels lively. The cocktails were delicious and authentic. And the butter cake... WOW. I would absolutely come back for that alone. That said, the main courses didn't quite do it for me. The octopus was overcooked, the sweet potato had a strange aftertaste, and the ceviche didn't feel very Peruvian in flavor or delivery. Overall, I really wanted to love it. There are definitely highlights, but the mains need some refinement to match the rest.

Land and sea chowder: tasted good but the portion was tiny. We ate the whole serving in no joke, 2-3 spoonfuls. Smoky bluefin tostada: again, tasted good but portion was so small. 3 very large tortilla chip-looking chips with a very tiny slice of tuna on each chip. On a very large plate. The whole thing looked so sad. Sea bass à la huancaina: soooo sad looking. 2 tiny pieces of sea bass, both overcooked, one under seasoned and one so over seasoned and salty that it was hard to eat. Had one singular olive on top that tasted and looked random on the plate. One singular piece of wilty looking lettuce that made the whole thing feel depressing. The only thing good tasting on it were the 2 small pieces of potato and the sauce. Lomo Saltado plate: my husband got this one, but the pieces of steak I tried were over cooked and salty. There was a tiny pile of sad rice on the plate. He said he didn't really like the dish either. Desserts: at first the waiter told us we could only have 1 dessert to share for every 2 people (lol)! That was different from other pre fixe menus where each person gets one dessert! We were wondering, were the desserts larger sized so it makes sense for it to be shared? Nope, it was a regular sized dessert. The waiter was nice enough to sneak a second one to us, and honestly the desserts were probably the best tasting things of the whole meal. Butter cake was flavored well and had a very nice texture, and rice pudding was good too. Hats off to our waiter who snuck us that extra dessert, made the whole meal a little less sad lol. Side note, we spoke to some friends who went to this place earlier in January for Dine Downtown and they said they each got a dessert as a regular part of the meal. Not sure if they were running out of supply at the end or what, but c'mon, should be better prepared than that as a restaurant with your supplies so you're not jipping paying customers out of food we paid for. Seriously would not come here again. The food we got was not worth over $100. The whole experience felt stingy and sad, and food wasn't good. Sad representation of Peruvian food.

I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.

The two options are al pastor or chicken or for $1 extra, asada. If you can't stand those two options, sure go ahead and order with the asada, but if you could go either way, choose the al pastor! It was so tender, flavorful, and juicy. I've only had al pastor this delicious one other time and have been chasing down that flavor for almost two years now and am happy to say I have found it with Ahuevo's al pastor. On top of that, the tostada inside is so unbelievably crispy and light and the toasted cheese on the outside is so genius. Those are probably the two characteristics that I love the most about this menu item. A few things were different with my experience this time, but nothing that would garner a lower rating. First, it was served in a nacho style tray rather than a takeout box. Not the biggest fan because it's difficult to transport, but on a good day, find a bench and you'll be just as comfortable as if you ate it in your office. Second, there were significantly less tortilla chips included. I counted maybe like six... but! They're not really important to the dish, except for when some of the fillings inevitably fall into the tray and you're left with the tortilla chips to scoop them up (you don't wanna waste this stuff). Lastly, there was no side sauce like when I ordered the asada, but again, not necessary! I wasn't a big fan of the sauce to begin with when I tried it, because the flavors are so balanced in the krunch wrap by itself that it's just not needed. Ok, one other thing that was different- the fillings were so generous! Last time I was biting into some thick layers of tortilla, but this time they got the ratio on the money. If you can only get one thing from this truck, get this and you will not regret it whatsoever. And just to emphasize, the quality versus the price of the food is absolutely insane. With surging food prices, I was happy paying $12 and am looking forward to hopefully seeing them in front of the Capitol again.

The sofrito on top was really good and added a bit of lightness and acidity to the dish. The paella did not taste fishy at all. It was a good amount of food, and felt perfect for two people. The paella was soo delicious!! We had wanted to try this paella, but asked our very knowledgeable server what she would recommend and she said this was her favorite. I can see why!! It was amazing! We ate all of it. We were comfortably full, but decided to finish off the evening with the mascarpone limon mousse. It is just as described, a lemon mousse over top lemoncello. It was light and refreshing, a great way to end the evening. All of the food was spectacular! No dish was heavy. Everything felt well balanced and perfectly cooked! I would highly recommend Aioli whether it is for a lunch or dinner, date night or for a celebration! It's one of those places that delivers on quality such that you could go back again and again!

The 3-star rating is actually an average of my 4-star and my wife's 2-star ratings. Why was she so…read moremuch less happy with our supper tonight? Read on. So we ended up at Aioli tonight with another couple after trying and failing to get in at the place across the street. We weren't unhappy about that as we used to frequent Aioli years ago and always really liked it. I'll just cut to the chase here and say that the problem tonight was the service. Everything seemed really rushed and pacing was poor. Our friends already had their cocktails when we got there, and we each ordered one while checking out the menu., When they arrived, our server asked us for our orders, but we weren't ready, so she came back a short time later. My wife ordered a salad and a tapa plate and was asked whether she wanted the salad ahead of time or with the meal and she said she'd have it with the meal. A short time later, the food came out, with the exception of the salad. It didn't come out for some time, and my wife was just getting ready to tell them not to bother when it arrived. Right after that, they cleared the rest of the plates and asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee. Obviously, she was still working on the salad at that point. So she really did not appreciate the service. I was less unhappy about it, but she certainly had a good point. It was way too rushed and uneven for a place like Aioli. In addition to that, our server just seemed to have a rushed and frantic edge to her, and that didn't help at all We did agree that the food was very good. Her chorizo dish and the salad were both excellent. I had the octopus and the little pork skewers, both of which were fantastic. (That octopus is an absolute classic and everyone should try it.) Fried brussels sprouts were fine - not excellent, but certainly not bad. I liked my cocktail, my wife didn't particularly like hers. So we're averaging this one out to a three. I would have to go back for more data points to see which of the two or four star ratings is really more emblematic of Aioli. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't want to go back. So bottom line: good food, poor service, excellent octopus. Mike sez check it out but beware.
