    Chicken Karahi Curry
    Imran S.

I had heard about Pakwan House through the radio so decided to check it out. we were there on a Friday evening but there was no one in the restaurant, which was an odd sign. we sat down and ordered beef samosas, chicken karahi, bihari beef and a variety of naan. the naan were excellent and delicious, the karahi was also good with good salan flavor, and the samosa was decent and tasted homemade. the bihari beef was the only disappointing aspect the customer service was good because when we said that the bihari beef wasn't good they offered complimentary dessert - a nice gesture the place was nicely decorated and decent food

Me and my BFF came here for dinner. We both were craving curry and grill, and she suggested Pakwan House. My family had recently hosted an event at their banquet hall and we liked the food that was catered. While the exterior may not be too appealing, and the interior ambiance was plain and simple, the restaurant itself was clean. We were greeted by person, who was the cashier, host and server at the same time. Later on, I did notice the owner come in as the restaurant had gotten busy. I believe he used to be a partial owner of Shahnai restaurant. My friend wanted samosas as appetizers, so we ordered a few of them. We also ordered daal (lentils), and a mixed grilled platter, which consisted of Chicken Tikka, Chicken boti, Seekh Kabobs with sautéed onions. Regardless of diet, one must order Naan with these items. Our samosas were hot n crispy. Daal was creamy and rich with flavor and the grilled items were very good. Naan came hot off the oven and was a perfect compliment to the meal. They had plenty of other grilled items and traditional dishes which are available on the menu. From what I hear, they also serve a buffet, which might be for lunch only. Inquire within. I do plan on visiting again soon.

I am obsessed with the malai chicken and beef bihari roll here. They put their heart and soul in everything they cook. I have tried quite a lot from their menu and keep coming back for more.

We had breakfast here. Per managment they recently took over the resturant. They were nice and friendly. We were there early and they accomadate us and got our order quickly. Halwa Puri is probably the best I had so far in Houston. Puri was soft, not too greasy and very authentic. Qeema partha tasted great fresh and home made feeling. Chai/tea was served in chainaak and pyalas. ( see pics) Great touch managment. If they maintain their food quality and standard they will be a hit breakfast spot.

Found this place very childish and amateur at customer service. I placed an order through Grub Hub using first-time order promotion and while their system even accepted my order, some guy called a few minutes later telling me that they will only process the order if I add more items and increase the minimum price. Now, I get it if a restaurant sets these conditions for business purposes but come on now, it's a complete no-no to go back on the acceptance of an order that your system already processed. Why fight over a few dollars when you can lose customer loyalty in the process? And we all know Pakwan House can use some customer loyalty because the food here is plain average, to be generous. Stay away fellas!

My food was delicious, the owner or person working there was extremely nice, and it's well priced. I loved this location overall and would definitely recommend.

This is the second place I have tried chicken biryani. I usually drive several miles across town, but decided to give this neighborhood business a chance. It's a good thing I didn't check Yelp before deciding on this place. Don't let the unassuming exterior keep you from being adventurous. The inside is quaint and clean, which works for me. The quick glimpse behind the kitchen doors I managed to do didn't raise any red flags. They offer a minimal buffet for less than $11 a person. The one man in the front served as the host, cashier, and server was very pleasant as he greeted me with a smile. I ordered one order of chicken biryani to go and he fixed a to-go box from the food on the buffet. I really wish he had let me fix it myself, but it wasn't a deal breaker because he gave me a bountiful serving. Had I fixed it, I would have definitely added more than 1 chicken leg and 2 tiny pieces of chicken about the size of a ping pong ball. Other than the small amount of chicken, I thoroughly enjoyed the burst of flavors with various spices. On a personal side note, they could reduce the amount of what I assume were peppercorns in the dish. Overall, I am pretty sure I will be back, but will definitely ask for more chicken.

The spicy kick to those fried pickles will stay embedded in my brain because It gave a new twist on the fried pickle I had never imagined nor experienced before. Ok and now the burger story, and so many other good things to eat here for the palate. Although the inspiration for the Pac-Man character was the image of a pizza with a slice removed I would say the Pak-Man burger was the perfect Puck-(in a burger)-Man. The Pak sauce is for real and just the right taste to go with the seasoning. The brioche buns held tight together even with the dripping sauce and flavors coming out of this fantastic meal. I love Samosas too and the truck says it all. Next time I'll get some of the Nutella samosa and or kulfi ice cream if they have it. Glad I stopped in to try this truck out and the staff was supper friendly and efficient.

As no foreigner to Indo/Pak Cuisine, I had my mind set to try a Beef Boti Roll (mild) on "Paratha" bread - a toasty flaky flat bread housing several large chunks of savory beef marinated in Pakistani spices, diced onion and cucumber with a hint of ketchup and two sauce containers of a basalmic dressing and a thinner mint yogurt sauce to dip or our. This roll is also available and freshly made Naan. This roll is about 8" long. Everything is cooked to order - every order taking about 15 to 20 minutes to prepare. If you are in a hurry, make sure that you order ahead. I also want to add that they make a limited amount of marinated beef for boti and only had one order left enough for me to be able to try it. Stop in and sit to enjoy the experience.

The chicken tikka leg was shockingly small--it looked like half the meat was missing from the leg. For what I paid, it honestly felt like a rip-off. I also felt sick after eating the suji ka halwa.
