They added an automatic 18% gratuity to our bill for two adults and two kids, which was quite odd for lunch hour. For $32, we expected a little more for the chicken handi. At least come with rice. The $12 chicken tikka was a burnt quarter piece of dark meat. We were contemplating eating polla a la brasa next door at Chick Houz, maybe should've gone there instead. The restaurant smelled like bleach upon entering and the restrooms were a bit dirty. If the front of the house is not well-kept, then the back of the house is likely similar. The dishes were very salty. The other reviews are pretty accurate - overpriced and overhyped. Plenty of other Pakistani restaurants all over the Greater Houston area. Will likely not return.

High hopes, disappointing food. Bearing the branding of a beloved Pakistani institution, we came in expecting great food. We walked in to a decent atmosphere and didn't have to wait long before we were seated. We excitedly ordered the "Mutton Karhai Peshawari", "Beef Gola Kabab", and the "Chicken Reshmi Kabab". On first bite, the beef gola was lackluster and bland. The chicken reshmi was okay, nothing special, lacking proper spices and also lacking heat. The Karhai was by far the most SORRY. The management's service was good, however our actually waitress was generally too busy and made it feel like a very transactional experience. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR $6 FOR RAITA , which I just find hilarious. A bland, overpriced nostalgia trap.

Nepalis are famous for their momos, which have been one of my favorite dishes to eat. Ths sauce that comes with it is delicious and they know how I like my tea. Amrit, Rupa, Shanta, and Ashish are a great team of siblings that run and own Three Leaf after they took over and rebranded. Bashanta is the general manager and lead cook, who is an expert at taking on challenges and finds magic to make the meal extremely delicious. The surprise is that they have only been around for about 3 years, but the experience they provide seems like more than 5 years.

We had originally planned on trying out their buffet, but we showed up a bit too late where there were only bits of food left, and they weren't planning on refilling the buffet, so, we decided to stay anyway and to order off the menu..... and we're all glad we did! The interior is very spacious, casual, and clean.... and having shown up so late, there was no crowd, the place was peaceful and calm, and a great time for us to enjoy our meal.. with very good service focused only on us. I'm typically not familiar with Nepalese food, but perusing the menu, the dishes offered looked almost exactly like a typical Indian restaurant's menu, except there were some additional hybrid Indian/Chinese dishes, like the Momo dumplings that are typical and popular dish familiar to this Nepali region. Fortunately, there were four of us dining in and we were able to order a variety of dishes that sounded really yummy..... like the Steamed Chicken Momos (dumplings), Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower coated in a spicy sweet sauce), Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Curry, Lamb Curry, Saag Paneer, Lachna Paratha, and Garlic Naan. How was the food? I don't eat lamb or goat so I can't comment, but the others in the group mentioned the meat was a bit tough, but the curries tasted excellent. As for everything else, I did get to try it all, and everything was so hot, fresh, and prepared just perfectly.... so yummy delicious! Not too sweet, not to salty, and just a great balance of flavors and textures. My all time favorite Indian dish being the saag paneer....pureed spinach with cubes of goat cheese....yummeee! And went great with the breads fresh out of the oven..... very happy and satisfied! This place was a great find as we all enjoyed the food here very much. Service was very good, and with a very nice, casual, and pleasant ambiance. We don't visit here very often since we're from our of town, but if we do visit again, we'll definitely be back again.

The crowd kept coming, and by the time we were done, the line appears to have grown to 1+ hour. Tip: Come early, especially on weekends! There was a sign saying that dining time is limited to 1 hour - completely understandable. Most of the clientele are South Asian - a good sign. The interior is clean and pleasant. The weekend buffet doesn't come cheap. We paid around $27 per person before tax or tips. But you get what you pay for - probably around 40 items, more than any other Indian buffet we have been to. This includes vegetarian items, meat dishes (chicken/lamb/fish), dessert, and drinks - including chai tea and rose milk. The quality is very good. We left absolutely stuffed.

The spread includes a good variety of South Indian dishes, mainly Tamil and Telugu cuisine, with plenty of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, rice, dosas, and other traditional favorites. The food was definitely on the spicier side. While there was a decent selection, I found the overall taste to be fairly average. Nothing was particularly memorable, and I didn't feel it justified the price. The restaurant itself was clean, the ambience was pleasant, and the staff was courteous. The biggest downside for me was being handed the bill while we were still eating. At an unlimited buffet where you're paying a fixed price, it made the experience feel rushed and took away from the relaxed dining atmosphere. Overall, it's an okay spot if you're specifically looking for an unlimited South Indian buffet, but for $25 per person, I expected a more memorable meal and a better dining experience.
