    A friend has been raving about this place as a perfect spot for a first date, and, since we were in the area during haooy hour, we popped in. Yeah, I support her assessment. The signature HH cocktails are a nice variety and served in a generous chalice - AND they are served with complementary fries! For $10, this is a steal. I ordered the PK spritz, asking the bartender to go light on the elderflower syrup. The herbaceous notes from the Aperol blends well with your standard Hugo. Very drinkable. My friend ordered the Spanish G&T. Beautifully presented, light and refreshing. If I liked tonic water, I'd go for this one. Fries were a good portion served with two dips. Not piping hot, but who's going to complain about free fries? Also complementary were the (generous) portion of pistachios. If you know, you know. To round out the snacks, we ordered a half dozen oysters. Great presentation, and the server explained the type and origin nicely. Can't go wrong at $2 a pop! The atmosphere is just beautiful, with plenty of seating options. I always enjoy an open kitchen. The bartender was attentive, but since he was the only one behind the bar and it was somewhat busy in the restaurant, there wasn't much banter. Food and drinks are competitively priced with a few unusual dishes. I'll have to come back to test more of them out.

    Met someone on the plane who recommended this place. Came here at 5:55pm on a weekday evening and it was busy but I got a spot at the bar. It ended up being happy hour so I got 6 of the oysters (sammish pearls), the beef sliders (2) and a glass of white wine. I also got the clams off the appetizers. Everything was really good! I was pleasantly surprised. Oysters-5/5 Same oysters I had at Half Shell and I loved them at both places. Great price of $2 each Sliders-4/5 One was a bit undercooked but they were very good. It's listed on the menu in a slightly confusing way so I didn't realize it's $5 each but comes with two. Liked the cheese, onion and pickles! Clams- 5/5 They're smaller than Manila clams but they were tasty. Liked the chorizo (?) with it as well Wine-3/5 It didn't specify what type but I'm guessing a Chardonnay. Not bad but not great. But for $7 it was decent Liked the decor a lot. The bar is a bit crowded and narrow to walk by

    Palace Kitchen is one of the remaining Tom Douglas restaurants in downtown Seattle. They are famous for their open kitchen and applewood wood oven. I booked family dinner for seven and thought between their beef, seafood items and chicken there would be something for everyone. Overall the quality of our dishes were a bit mixed, so 3 stars. Note the restaurant is dark and plays loud music, and you'll get a whiff of aromas from the open kitchen. Great for happy hour or outings with friends, but less so if you want a quieter, intimate dining experience Positives 1. The Kabocha Fritters were excellent - similar to a crispy falafel but with a slightly sweet texture underneath. My 5yo son wound up eating most of it. 2. Rosemary Focaccia is also great for sharing. It comes out in a mini pan, piping hot and with a side of sweet date butter. 3. I actually liked my Rotisserie Half Chicken. The meat was juicy but my son and I prefer a crispier skin. Its on the larger side so you'll get more white meat but sacrifice on flavor compared to a smaller bird and/or a brick-grilled preparation. Mixed or Needs Improvement: 1. Grilled chicken wings were closer to burnt, and the meat underneath does have a spicy aftertaste, so beware. 2. Whole Rainbow Trout is one of their signature dishes and my wife, a fish lover, found the skin well seasoned but not so much the meat underneath. 3. Four in our group ordered the burgers. My parents each asked for medium rare and they enjoyed their dish. My sister and bro-in-law asked for well done and felt the burger was burnt and dry. Some folks ask for well done since they dislike pink meat and want a strong beefy flavor while sacrificing some juiciness. Still, there's a fine line between burnt and well-done and I applaud chefs who could pull those off.

    This place was another one recommended to me by one of the regulars at Rider, so of course I had to see what the hype was about! We came here right after checking out Rob Roy, also located in Belltown. The space has that cozy, old-school Seattle charm, dimly lit with an intimate vibe that's perfect for late night conversations. The open kitchen concept is really cool, and the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of grilled dishes coming off the wood-fire. It was pretty packed when we arrived, so we just grabbed a drink at the bar to get a feel for the place. Service was okay considering how busy it was, the staff still managed to stay attentive and friendly. I heard Palace Kitchen is one of the few spots in the city that serves late-night eats, which is always a plus if you're looking for quality food after hours. Definitely planning to come back next time to actually try the food. I heard great things about their apple wood-grilled trout.

    I celebrated my birthday here and it was a lovely event. Two of us shared a few appetizers and ordered a drink and entree each, overall taste good and generous portions: * goat cheese and lavender fondue was fun but not exactly classic Swiss cheese fondue, in case you are a purist * pumpkin fritters was delicious with cranberry jam and duck liver mouse... I didn't get as much pumpkin but it's for the better * blistered shishito peppers was nicely charred * grilled trout was massive and expertly deboned at table side. The highlight of our meal * hanger steak medium rare was nicely executed * affogato was indeed drowned in coffee and a nice wrap of the meal. Service was attentive and lovely. The dining room was buzzing with excitement but not too loud so we can easily hold a conversation. Would bring a large group back to try more dishes :)

    Came here for date night and so glad we did! We ordered lots of items to share including the hood canal clams, Caesar salad and the French onion soup. All were must orders but the clams were definitely amazing!!! We also went during happy hour Monday- Sat 5-6 pm and ordered 2 petite burgers. They were small but packed with flavor. Service was excellent. The ambiance is a bit dark but you can still see the menu and your food just fine so def perfect for a date night. PS - everything on the dessert menu is delish and you can't go wrong. We went with the famous coconut cream pie and an affgato

    It was a last-minute dinner plan, and we found this spot near our friend's office. We ordered the Goat Cheese Lavender Fondue, Chicken Wings, and the Palace Burger Royale. Everything tastes amazing! I highly recommend trying their Goat Cheese Fondue and Chicken Wings. The fondue came with apples, cauliflower, and grilled focaccia., very flavorful and delicious. The chicken wings were three wood-grilled and coated in chipotle tabasco, served with coriander cream. The spices gave you a really good kick!

    We came to Palace Kitchen for Royal Hour (happy hour) and had a great time. Royal hour is from 5-6p and has good deals. I ordered this palace chalice sangria for $10 which came with a free order of fries. We also got a dozen $2 oysters and several $5 sliders. My favorite of the sliders was the Beecher's Cheese slider. The cocktails looked good, so I'd like to come back sometime for a drink.

    Both the ambience and food were up to par! I was there with a party of 3 and it seems like it's a place the locals favor. Definitely make reservations as it seemed to fill up pretty quickly during the weekend. I've had a ton of various versions of Brussel Sprouts and I can say that their version is definitely one of my favorites. Even though it is on the sweeter side, the additional ingredients of bacon, nuts and other savory components help balance out the sweetness. All I have to say is get the ravioli! Yum! The cheese fondue was also a great choice.

    Possibly the mostly friendly hostess and wait-staff I've ever experienced. Although they were fully booked I got on the wait list and the hostess was incredibly kind and engaging. The wait was shorter than expected. I was told to order the Palace Burger, which I did, with bacon. It was very good, perhaps a little too salty. The fries were a little too crispy (some too hard to eat). The flavors of the burger were delicious!

    This was our local go to bar on the way back to the hotel everyday bc Dev, our bartender, made our experience standout!! This place is a cute little bar that's dimly lit, so great for date night, girls night, any kinda night really, to cozy up, get an amazing cocktail, and enjoy the laid back atmosphere. They've got a great selection of whiskeys for the yummy old fashion, and everything is made with attention to detail, and curated just for you! Nothing rushed, everything just a vibe! The hostess remembered us from the first night when we came back, and it was so nice just to receive a warm welcome for round 2! If you're in the area, swing on by!

    The happy hour from 5-6 was such a great deal! The drinks were great and presented very aesthetically, they also came with a side of fries. This was my first time trying raw oysters as well and I enjoyed them! The Beechers cheese slider was the best and we also got a fish fillet one that resembled some sort of vegetarian pattie (wasn't too sure on that one). Would definitely come back for the drinks!

    The ambiance is awesome - dark and intimate for dates. It smells amazing in there due to the wood fired grill - and we had the focaccia appetizer to start. Then the rainbow trout, which they debone at the table, and some other items. It was excellent.

Their stupid steak dish is $50 entree with zero sides. I added cauliflower for an extra $17 charge and received something I could have made in five minutes. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

I greatly appreciate the ability to make reservations, and I highly recommend providing detail notes about your party so the host can meet your accommodations. Due to its location on the weekends and especially during brunch hours Ben Paris can get busy be patient and definitely book a reservation. Our server Jake provided excellent service, he was extremely courteous and curated a great dining experience for my family and I. We will definitely return and highly recommend!
