Ben Paris is perfectly located in downtown Seattle, for both local and tourists who are seeking great food right outside of the historic pike place attractions. I greatly appreciate the ability to make reservations, and I highly recommend providing detail notes about your party so the host can meet your accommodations. Due to its location on the weekends and especially during brunch hours Ben Paris can get busy be patient and definitely book a reservation. Our server Jake provided excellent service, he was extremely courteous and curated a great dining experience for my family and I. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

Tried Ben Paris since I was staying at the State Hotel and had dining credit. Two of us ordered: ben paris breakfast $25 tavern burger $22 We had tried the fries as a snack before and it was ok. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was terrible. Food sat there for 10-15 minutes. Server went MIA. Tried to wave down other staff to let them know our food was probably sitting there and finally someone else grabbed for us. Even as a comped meal, I wouldn't want to spend my time here. Food was cold. Nothing stood out. Bad service.

While visiting Seattle, I was looking for a brunch spot and Ben Paris caught my eye. Not only for the menu but for the decor. I made reservations, arrived and we were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess. We were sat at a two top by the window, just in front of the bar. I will say the tables spaces are tight but the window view to people watch was great! It took a few minutes for our waiter to come, but when he did, he was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We decided on still water which he told us was filtered (which was great to know), a grapefruit mimosa for me and lavender latte for my partner. The mimosa was well balanced and the lavender latte was simply chefs's kiss! For entrees, I decided on the cauliflower Caesar with an added fried chicken thigh and an order of regular fries. My partner had the ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. I enjoyed the cauliflower Caesar and while the chicken thigh was crispy, it honestly lacked flavor. The fries were awesome; handcut and just right. The ricotta pancakes stole the show. Fluffy and flavorful! Overall, a solid spot that I'd try again.

I'm staying the The State Hotel and decided to try Ben Paris for Happy Hour. The hotel gives guests a $15 credit per day, I decided to use my credits this evening. After settling into my room, I came down and sat at the bar, which 3 of the 6 or 7 seats were filled. The bartender was busy talking to guests and doing something, so I looked over the menu. As I sat there, the bartender passed in front of me several times and began crafting a drink in front of me, while talking to the couple a seat over from me. The bartender spoke to someone else, then went back to them, never once greeting me or letting me know he'd be with me shortly. After waiting a bit, I decided to check with the front desk people, to see if happy hour was only in the bar area. They said it was not, so I asked the waitress if I could sit at a table. She walked me over to a table and was able to take my order immediately, as I had already had time to look over the menu at the bar. I ordered the fries, wagyu sliders, hush puppies, and Brussels sprouts. I was not a fan of the fries and the hush puppies. The sliders and Brussels sprouts were delicious. The woman working the floor in the restaurant was amazing... she completely turned around my experience. The bartender came to drop off my iced tea and still had an attitude, I would have apologized if I were in that position. In any case, I believe Heidi is the name of the server, she did a great job.

Stopped here on a Friday night to grab a quick bite since it was on the way to a bar we were going to for my friend's birthday. We were sat for a table of 3 and shared a seared scallop risotto, which was fantastic. I definitely was eyeing the other dishes, but maybe for another day. The seared scallop risotto was cooked to perfection and the scallops were pretty big! The dish perfectly complimented itself. The ambiance was fantastic! It was much more of a formal setup and the restaurant is quite fancy, but that's how you know you're getting quality food.

Stopped here for a late lunch and immediately got seated inside. Great service and food. The chicken was a little heavy on ginger, but the chicken was very tender. Short rib melted in your mouth.

Our experience at Ben Paris was nothing short of exceptional! Our server was fantastic- she had the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our meal. We enjoyed a cocktail and then bottle of wine - highly recommend checking out the red bottle list - very reasonable prices for some exceptional bottles! Apps: Fritters and Brussels - both so good! Fritters had some nice heat and were perfectly breaded and cooked... the Brussels had just the right balance of bacon and balsamic. Main: we shared the NY Strip and wow! It was served on a bed of feta (?) that was creamy and amazing. Dessert - chocolate mousse type thing that melted in our mouth. Next time you are seeing a show at the Moore Theater up the street - look no further than Ben Paris!

The Ben Paris is a restaurant that is apart of the State Hotel on 1501 2nd Ave, Seattle Washington. It is recommended to reserve a table as it is seemingly a popular spot to eat and drink. I do believe that they can accommodate walk-ins accordingly. If you're driving into the city to visit the restaurant, there is a parking garage across the street, also you will be a block from the Pike Place Market. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly host named Evan. We were escorted to a nice table near the kitchen where I was able to catch a glimpse of the kitchen, and where the food is picked up to be delivered to the patrons. Evan, gave us the rundown on who our table attendant was and so on. Evan was very gracious and welcoming, he even complimented my eyewear. Jacob was wonderful and very kind as we had lots of questions regarding menu items and beverages. I really appreciated Jacob for suggesting things that he has enjoyed from the restaurant. What I like about the restaurant and the service is that all of their team members are pleasant, approachable and friendly. It's like they enjoy being there. Our food was delivered in a timely manner and was decent but we were not blown away by the meals. I'd say that we all enjoyed the experience and the atmosphere of the restaurant and team members. If I stand correct, I think the restaurant is known for its fanciful wallpaper. Which was pretty cool. There is a full bar on site just to the north of the dining area. The restrooms are located 1 level below the restaurant and it requires the use of the elevator. To the right of the elevator is the lobby to the hotel. Check out the beautiful table and the wall. Thank you Ben Paris for the lovely Birthday Brunch Experience.

Grilled cheese that's kid and adult approved

We wandered in here and were pleasantly surprised. There's no kids menu on paper but they do offer kid friendly options such as chicken tenders, grilled cheese, and cheese burgers so our 5 and 7 year old were happy. Great adult food options too.

Braised beef pasta dinner- fork tender and delicious
    Tracy L.

5/5 dinner! Went here for my birthday dinner and everything was amazing: food, ambiance, service. We had a team of servers, which was great! Never had to think of anything- someone was always checking on us, refilling drinks, offering recommendations. Evan, Justin and the rest of the team were awesome! They even had a birthday card for me (marked it was my birthday occasion on open table reservation), which was unexpected, but really thoughtful. We started with the focaccia starter- so yummy. I had the vegetarian pasta, which blew my mind- so many interesting veggies not usually served at restaurants- fiddlehead ferns- which I love- and fresh pea pods, asparagus and more! Highly recommend: 10/10. My daughter had the braised beef pasta and it was fork tender and her favorite meal here so far. Huge portions justify the cost- plus, quality ingredients make amazing food. You can tell they care about your food and your experience at Ben Paris. There aren't many dinner reviews, but I can attest to an amazing meal and great service.

    Ricotta Pancakes
    Zeeshan Q.

I had a great brunch with some friends at Ben Paris. One of their popular (and photogenic) dishes is the ricotta pancakes, and it was absolutely delicious. The warm and soft pancakes with a slight sweetness from the cheese paired well with the vanilla based syrup. This was definitely one of my favorite bites of Seattle!

Nothing bad but nothing that great either! A pretty average experience Food was so ordinary .. I ordered the Ben Paris breakfast ($25) and it tasted like a free continental breakfast made up to look pretty. It didn't taste bad! But it wasn't anything special too, but that has its own charm too, I suppose. You eat exactly what you expect, but nothing more. Service was average as well. Our server never came to check up on us. She was kind, but I had to look for her to order a coffee, get the check, etc.

From my nephew Wyatt, I ordered ricotta pancakes with over easy eggs. the pancakes were so soft it melted in my mouth, the eggs were so yolky it tasted delicious . our server Justin, was so nice, he was helpful. The wallpaper was stunning, the art was outstanding. 5 stars.

He says "I'll buzz you up." I waited in the elevator for a while. After like 3-5 real minutes I walk into the lobby and text my friend. "I ain't coming. I'm not fancy enough apparently" In that time, the Clerk noticed me. Apologies Profusely. I got up. Friends were really happy. Service was very nice and accommodating. Drinks are Top Notch My friends were giving a "Live Update" about my "situation" the entire time We probably got 8ish drinks. We really liked our waitress, she was helpful with suggestions, and really fun to chat with. The cons: A bit confusing to get into and definitely comes with an air of "everyone here is better than you." Both groups we sat next to were busy talking smack about everyone there, not the locations fault, but definitely not a fun vibe.

We arrived around 5:00 PM and were greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable mixologist. While looking over the menu, he asked what I typically enjoy drinking. I told him I'm a big fan of an Old Fashioned, and he suggested an Eagle Rare Old Fashioned. It was, without question, one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had at any establishment. The balance of flavors was outstanding, and the attention to detail was obvious from the first sip. I was so impressed by both the drink and the overall experience that I asked him how he made it and what ingredients he used so I could try to recreate it at home. While I'm probably only 90% of the way there, I'll never quite match the perfection he achieved that evening. The atmosphere, service, and cocktails were all exceptional. If you're looking for a great speakeasy experience in Seattle, I highly recommend checking this place out.

Staff is friendly and helpful in making decisions that suit your taste. I started with the Suede Umbrella, my friends had a Tuk Tuk Tang and Guavacita. Second round they had the Panic Button and I had the Roquette Martini. Well balanced cocktails. Extensive list.. would definitely visit again when in Belltown.
